利未記第一章 – 一顆完全臣服於上帝的心
訊息：付出代價的敬拜
利未記開始時，上帝在會幕中對摩西說話，當時祂的榮耀剛充滿了聖所（出埃及記40章）。上帝給的第一個指示是關於 燔祭，揭示敬拜與與上帝的團契始於獻祭。
燔祭獨特之處在於整隻動物在祭壇上被食用。它象徵著對上帝的完全奉獻與全心全意的投降。敬拜者帶來一隻「無瑕疵」的動物，將手放在牠身上，並獻上作為主前的贖罪祭（利未記 1：3–4）。
本章教導幾個重要的真理：
- 上帝是聖潔的，我們不能輕易接近祂。只有祂決定如何被崇拜。
- 真正的敬拜需要順服。 焚燒祭代表將一生奉獻給上帝，而不僅僅是獻上祂的一部分。
- 上帝接納那些以信心和順服來的人。 無論供品是公牛、綿羊、山羊還是鳥，上帝都為不同經濟條件的人預備。重要的是一顆真誠且順從的心。

Leviticus Chapter 1 – A Heart Fully Surrendered to God
Message: Worship That Costs Something
Leviticus begins with God speaking to Moses from the Tabernacle, where His glory had just filled the sanctuary (Exodus 40). The first instruction God gives concerns the burnt offering, revealing that worship and fellowship with God begin with sacrifice.
The burnt offering was unique because the entire animal was consumed on the altar. It symbolized complete dedication and wholehearted surrender to God. The worshiper brought an animal “without blemish,” laid a hand on it, and it was offered as an atoning sacrifice before the Lord (Leviticus 1:3–4).
This chapter teaches several important truths:
- God is holy, and we cannot approach Him casually. He alone determines how He is to be worshiped.
- True worship requires surrender. The burnt offering represented giving one’s whole life to God, not merely offering Him a portion.
- God accepts those who come in faith and obedience. Whether the offering was a bull, a sheep, a goat, or a bird, God made provision for people of different means. What mattered was a sincere and obedient heart.
- The sacrifices point to Jesus Christ. The spotless animals foreshadowed Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God, who offered Himself once for all to take away our sins (Hebrews 10:10). Because of His sacrifice, we now have direct access to God.
Today, we no longer offer animal sacrifices because Christ has fulfilled their purpose. Instead, we are called to offer ourselves as “living sacrifices” (Romans 12:1), dedicating every part of our lives—our time, talents, relationships, and decisions—to God’s service.
The question Leviticus 1 asks each believer is: Have I placed my whole life on God’s altar, or am I only giving Him what is convenient?
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for revealing Your holiness and Your desire to have fellowship with Your people. As we begin the Book of Leviticus, help us understand that true worship comes from hearts that are fully surrendered to You.
Thank You for providing the perfect sacrifice through Your Son, Jesus Christ. His death on the cross has accomplished what the burnt offerings could only foreshadow. Because of His sacrifice, we have forgiveness, peace, and confidence to come into Your presence.
Lord, help us not to offer You only part of our lives. Teach us to be living sacrifices, wholly devoted to Your will. May our thoughts, words, actions, and attitudes be pleasing in Your sight.
Give us hearts that worship You with reverence, gratitude, and joyful obedience. Remove anything that keeps us from fully following You, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that our lives become a pleasing offering to You each day.
May everything we do bring glory to Your holy name, and may others see Christ through our lives.

今天，我們也容易用自己的方法事奉神，但真正蒙神喜悅的是順服祂的話語。順服不是限制，而是讓我們更深經歷神同在的途徑。
反思：
- 我是否願意按神的心意，而不是自己的喜好來生活？
- 我是否在小事上也忠心順服神？
二、神的榮耀充滿祂所預備的地方
會幕不是因為材料昂貴而充滿榮耀，而是因為神親自降臨。
今天，新約告訴我們：
「豈不知你們是神的殿，神的靈住在你們裡頭嗎？」（哥林多前書3:16）
信徒的生命就是神今日的居所。
因此，我們更應追求：
- 聖潔的生活
- 真誠的敬拜
- 愛人的心
- 被聖靈充滿
讓神的榮耀在我們生命中彰顯。
三、神親自帶領祂的百姓
白天有雲柱，晚上有火柱。
「雲彩幾時從帳幕收上去，以色列人就起程前往；雲彩若不收上去，他們就不起程。」（出埃及記40:36-37）
以色列人不是按照自己的時間表，而是按照神的帶領。
今天，我們也常想掌握人生，但神提醒我們：
有時要前進，
有時要等待；
有時要工作，
有時要安靜。
真正的信心，不只是勇敢往前走，更是在神說「停」的時候仍然信靠祂。
四、《出埃及記》的終點，也是信仰的新起點
《出埃及記》開始於：
- 神的百姓作奴隸
- 哀哭呼求神
結束於：
- 神住在百姓中間
- 神的榮耀充滿會幕
- 神親自帶領祂的子民
這預表了整本聖經救恩的核心。
從會幕到聖殿，再到耶穌基督「道成了肉身，住在我們中間」（約翰福音1:14），最後在《啟示錄》21:3，神永遠與祂的子民同住。
因此，神拯救我們，不只是要解決人生的困難，更是要恢復與祂親密的關係，讓我們一生在祂的同在中生活。
今日的屬靈提醒
- 神喜悅一顆順服的心。
- 神最大的祝福不是財富，而是祂的同在。
- 神會按祂最好的時間帶領我們。
- 每位信徒都是聖靈居住的殿，應當活出榮耀神的生命。
- 神救恩的終極目標，是與祂的子民永遠同住。

親愛的天父，
感謝祢藉著《出埃及記》第40章向我們顯明祢的心意。祢拯救以色列人，不只是帶領他們離開埃及，更是要住在他們中間，成為他們的神。今天，祢也藉著耶穌基督和聖靈住在每一位相信祢的人裡面，我們為這份恩典獻上感恩。

God’s glory dwells among His people
Theme: God’s presence is the greatest blessing for God’s people.
Exodus chapter 40 is the climax of the entire Book of Exodus. God instructed Moses to complete the construction of the tabernacle and to set up all kinds of utensils and anoint priests according to all that God had instructed. When everything was finished, God’s glory filled the tabernacle, and clouds lingered over it, leading the Israelites forward or setting up camp.
“Then the cloud covered the tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.” (Exodus 40:34).
This chapter shows us that God’s ultimate purpose in redemptioning the people is not merely to rescue them from Egypt, but to dwell among them and walk with them.
1. Obedience brings God’s presence
In chapter 40, the phrase “according to the LORD’s commands” appears repeatedly (40:16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 32).
Moses did not add or remove according to his own will, but fully followed God’s instructions to complete every task.
Today, it is easy for us to serve God in our own ways, but what truly pleases God is obedience to His word. Obedience is not a limitation, but a path for us to experience God’s presence more deeply.
Reflection:
- Am I willing to live according to God’s will, rather than my own preferences?
- Am I faithful and obedient to God even in small things?
2. God’s glory fills the places He has prepared
The tabernacle is not glorious because the materials are expensive, but because God himself has descended.
Today, the New Testament tells us:
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells within you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16).
The life of a believer is God’s dwelling place today.
Therefore, we should pursue even more of:
- A holy life
- Sincere worship
- The heart of a lover
- Be filled with the Holy Spirit
Let God’s glory be revealed in our lives.
3. God Himself leads His people
During the day, there are pillars of cloud; at night, pillars of fire.
“When the clouds were taken up from the tent, the Israelites set out to go; If the clouds aren’t gathered up, they won’t be able to proceed.” (Exodus 40:36-37).
The Israelites did not follow their own schedule, but according to God’s guidance.
Today, we often want to take control of our lives, but God reminds us:
Sometimes you have to move forward,
sometimes you have to wait;
Sometimes you need to work,
sometimes you need quiet.
True faith is not just about bravely moving forward, but also trusting Him even when He says ‘stop.’
4. The End of Exodus and a New Beginning of Faith
Exodus begins with:
- God’s people became slaves
- He wept bitterly and called out to the gods
Ends at:
- God dwells among the people
- God’s glory fills the tabernacle of the meeting
- God Himself leads His people
This foreshadows the core of salvation throughout the entire Bible.
From the Tabernacle to the temple, to Jesus Christ “becoming flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14), and finally in Revelation 21:3, God dwells with His people forever.
Therefore, God saves us not only to solve life’s difficulties but also to restore our intimate relationship with Him, so that we may live in His presence for life.
Today’s spiritual reminder
- God delights in a heart that is obedient.
- God’s greatest blessing is not wealth, but His presence.
- God will lead us at His best time.
- Every believer is the temple where the Holy Spirit dwells and should live a life that glorifies God.
- The ultimate goal of God’s salvation is to dwell with His people forever.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for revealing Your heart to us through Exodus chapter 40. You saved the Israelites not only by leading them out of Egypt, but also by dwelling among them and becoming their God. Today, You also dwell in every person who believes in You through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, and we offer thanks for this grace.
Lord, please grant us a heart of obedience, like Moses, willing to do Your will, not relying on our own cleverness or preference. Help us to be willing to seek Your guidance in all matters of life, big and small, and faithfully follow Your word.
Please purify our hearts so that we may become dwellings after Your will. If sin, pride, selfishness, or unbelief still exist in our lives, please illuminate and renew us through the Holy Spirit, so that we may become more like Christ every day and let others see Your glory in us.
Father God, please also teach us to learn to follow Your guidance. When You call us forward, grant us courage and faith; When You want us to wait, grant us patience and rest. May we not rely on our own plans, but always be sensitive to Your voice, willing to follow Your footsteps.
Finally, we look forward to that glorious day—when You will dwell with Your people forever, without tears, pain, or death. Please help us faithfully follow You in this life until the day we meet You face to face.
We pray this way in the victorious holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Faithfulness in Every Detail
Message: Obedience That Honors God
Exodus 39 describes the completion of the priestly garments exactly as God had commanded Moses. Throughout this chapter, one phrase is repeated several times: “as the LORD commanded Moses.” This repetition is significant. It reminds us that true worship is not based on human creativity alone, but on faithful obedience to God’s instructions.
The craftsmen, led by Bezalel and filled with God’s wisdom, carefully completed every piece of the high priest’s clothing—the ephod, breastpiece, robe, turban, and the gold plate engraved with the words, “HOLY TO THE LORD.” Every thread, gemstone, and stitch reflected God’s holiness and His desire for His people to serve Him with reverence.
When all the work was finished, they brought everything to Moses. Moses carefully inspected the work and found that it had been done exactly as the Lord had commanded. Then Moses blessed the people (Exodus 39:43).
This chapter teaches us several important lessons:
- God values faithfulness more than greatness. The workers were not famous warriors or kings, but their careful obedience pleased God.
- Holiness should characterize God’s people. Just as the high priest wore “Holy to the LORD,” believers today are called to live lives set apart for God (1 Peter 1:15-16).
- Our work is an act of worship. Whether serving in church, at home, or in our workplace, every task can glorify God when done faithfully.
- God blesses obedient service. Moses’ blessing reminds us that God delights in those who faithfully carry out His will.
As followers of Christ, we are no longer clothed with priestly garments made of linen and gold, but we are clothed with the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Therefore, let our daily lives reflect His holiness, humility, and love.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for teaching us through Exodus 39 that You care about faithfulness in every detail of our lives. Just as the Israelites completed the work according to Your command, help us to obey You wholeheartedly and not only when it is convenient.
Lord, clothe us with the righteousness of Jesus Christ and let our lives bear the mark of being “holy to the Lord.” Purify our hearts, renew our minds, and help us to honor You in our thoughts, words, and actions.
Give us willing hearts to serve You faithfully, whether our tasks seem large or small. May our work, our worship, our families, our churches, and our daily responsibilities bring glory to Your name.
Help us to remember that You see every act of obedience, every sacrifice made in love, and every service offered with a sincere heart. May we live in such a way that, like the Israelites, our lives reflect Your commands and bring You pleasure.
Thank You for Jesus Christ, our Great High Priest, who has made us acceptable before You through His sacrifice. May we walk each day clothed in His righteousness and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Giving Our Best to God
Message: Every Offering Matters
Exodus 38 records the construction of the bronze altar, the bronze basin, the courtyard of the Tabernacle, and the detailed accounting of the gold, silver, and bronze used in God’s dwelling place. At first glance, this chapter may seem like a list of measurements and materials, but it reveals several important spiritual truths.
1. God Values Faithful Service
The craftsmen completed every detail exactly as God had instructed Moses. Nothing was considered too small or insignificant. This reminds us that God is pleased when we serve Him faithfully, whether our task is public or hidden.
“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” (1 Corinthians 4:2)
Faithfulness is more important to God than fame. Every act of obedience is an act of worship.
2. Every Gift Builds God’s Kingdom
The gold, silver, and bronze came from the willing offerings of God’s people. No single person supplied everything, but together they made the Tabernacle possible.
Likewise, every believer has something to offer—our time, abilities, prayers, encouragement, resources, and spiritual gifts. When each person contributes willingly, the Church becomes a place where God’s presence is displayed.
3. God Is a God of Order and Integrity
Exodus 38 carefully records how the materials were used. This shows that God’s work should be carried out with honesty, accountability, and transparency.
Whether we serve in ministry, handle finances, lead others, or care for our families, we should do everything with integrity, remembering that we ultimately serve the Lord.
4. Cleansing Comes Before Service
The bronze basin, made from the mirrors donated by the women, was used by the priests for washing before entering God’s presence.
Today, Jesus Christ has cleansed us through His sacrifice, yet we are also called to confess our sins and seek continual spiritual cleansing as we serve Him.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
Serving God begins with a heart that is clean before Him.
WE pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for showing us through Exodus 38 that every detail of Your work is important. Thank You that You see every act of faithfulness, even those that no one else notices.
Teach us to offer You our best—not only our possessions, but also our hearts, our time, our talents, and our lives. Help us to serve You willingly and joyfully, knowing that every gift can be used to build Your kingdom.
Lord, give us integrity in everything we do. May we be trustworthy stewards of the responsibilities You have given us. Let our words, decisions, and actions honor Your holy name.
Search our hearts and cleanse us from anything that hinders our fellowship with You. Thank You that through Jesus Christ we are forgiven and made clean. Fill us with the Holy Spirit so that our service flows from love, humility, and obedience.
May our lives become a living offering that brings glory to You, and may everything we do point others to Your goodness and Your salvation.

God Desires Excellence in Our Worship
Message: Building for God’s Glory
Exodus 37 continues the work of constructing the Tabernacle. Under the skilled leadership of Bezalel, the Ark of the Covenant, the Table for the Bread of the Presence, the Golden Lampstand, the Altar of Incense, and the sacred anointing oil are carefully made exactly as God commanded.
At first glance, this chapter appears to be a list of construction details, but it reveals several important spiritual truths.
1. Worship God According to His Word
Every item was made precisely according to God’s instructions. Bezalel did not invent his own design or improve upon God’s plan. He obeyed faithfully.
This reminds us that true worship is not about doing what seems right to us, but about seeking God’s will and following His Word.
“If you love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)
2. God Uses Our Gifts for His Kingdom
Bezalel was gifted with wisdom, craftsmanship, and creativity. His skills became an act of worship because he dedicated them to God’s service.
God has also given each believer unique gifts. Whether we teach, encourage, serve, lead, create, or care for others, every talent can glorify Him when offered with a willing heart.
“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)
3. The Tabernacle Points to Jesus Christ
Each piece of furniture reminds us of Christ:
- The Ark of the Covenant reminds us that Jesus is God’s presence among His people.
- The Mercy Seat points to Christ’s sacrifice, through whom we receive forgiveness.
- The Table of Bread reminds us that Jesus is the Bread of Life.
- The Golden Lampstand points to Jesus, the Light of the World.
- The Altar of Incense reminds us that Christ continually intercedes for us, and our prayers rise before God like fragrant incense.
The Tabernacle was not merely a tent—it was a picture of God’s redemption fulfilled in Jesus.
4. Give God Your Best
The craftsmanship described in Exodus 37 was careful, beautiful, and excellent. God’s people did not offer Him leftovers; they offered their finest work.
Likewise, God deserves our best—not because we can earn His favor, but because He has already shown us His grace. Whether in ministry, work, family, or daily life, we honor Him by serving wholeheartedly.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for revealing through Exodus 37 that You are worthy of our very best. Just as Bezalel faithfully used the gifts You gave him to build the Tabernacle, help us to use the talents, abilities, and opportunities You have entrusted to us for Your glory.
Teach us to worship You according to Your truth rather than our own preferences. Give us obedient hearts that delight in following Your Word with faithfulness and humility.
Lord Jesus, thank You for fulfilling everything that the Tabernacle foreshadowed. Thank You for being our Bread of Life, the Light of the World, our perfect sacrifice, and our great High Priest who continually intercedes for us. Because of You, we can confidently come into the presence of our Heavenly Father.
Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that every task we do, every word we speak, and every act of service becomes an offering of worship to You. Help us pursue excellence—not for our own praise, but so that Your name may be honored.
May our lives become a living sanctuary where Your presence is welcomed, Your love is displayed, and Your glory is seen by those around us.

A Heart Willing to Build for God
Message: God Uses Willing Hearts and Faithful Hands
Exodus 36 records the actual construction of the Tabernacle. After God gave Moses the instructions, Bezalel, Oholiab, and the skilled craftsmen began the work. This chapter highlights several important spiritual truths.
1. God Equips Those He Calls
God did not simply ask His people to build the Tabernacle; He also gave Bezalel, Oholiab, and others the wisdom, skill, and understanding to accomplish the task.
“The LORD has put wisdom into the hearts of these skilled workers.” (Exodus 36:2)
God still works this way today. Whatever ministry or calling He gives us, He also provides the gifts, strength, and grace to fulfill it. Our responsibility is to be available and obedient.
2. A Willing Heart Is Precious to God
The people continued bringing freewill offerings every morning. Their generosity was so abundant that Moses had to tell them to stop because there was already more than enough for the work.
This is one of the few places in Scripture where giving exceeded the need. Their giving was not motivated by obligation but by gratitude and love for God.
God values hearts that give joyfully—whether our time, talents, resources, or acts of service.
3. Excellence Glorifies God
The craftsmen carefully followed God’s instructions. Every curtain, board, and piece of furniture was made with precision and care.
This reminds us that serving God deserves our best effort. Whether we teach, encourage, work, serve, or worship, we honor Him by doing our work faithfully and with excellence.
4. We Are Building God’s Kingdom Together
No one person built the Tabernacle alone. Everyone contributed according to the gifts God had given them.
Likewise, the Church is built as every believer uses their unique gifts. Some lead, some teach, some pray, some encourage, some give, and some serve quietly behind the scenes. Every role is valuable in God’s Kingdom.
Reflection
Exodus 36 reminds us that God delights in willing hearts, faithful service, generous giving, and unity among His people. When every believer offers what God has given them, His work is accomplished, and His glory is revealed.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for calling ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary work for Your Kingdom. Thank You for the example of Bezalel, Oholiab, and all the craftsmen who faithfully used the gifts You placed within them.
Lord, give us willing hearts that delight in serving You. Help us not to serve out of duty alone, but out of love and gratitude for all that You have done for us.
Teach us to be generous with everything You have entrusted to us—our time, abilities, resources, and opportunities. May we give cheerfully, knowing that everything we have comes from You.
Fill us with wisdom and the guidance of the Holy Spirit so that whatever we do, we may do it with excellence, faithfulness, and humility. Help us to use our gifts to strengthen Your Church and to bless others.
Unite Your people as one body, each serving according to the gifts You have given. Remove pride, comparison, and selfish ambition, and replace them with love, cooperation, and joyful service.
May our lives become a dwelling place where Your presence is honored. Let everything we build—our families, ministries, workplaces, and relationships—be founded upon Your truth and bring glory to Your holy name.

A Willing Heart for God’s Work
Message: God Desires Willing Hearts More Than Forced Hands
Exodus 35 marks a new beginning for the Israelites. After the tragedy of the golden calf, God renews His relationship with His people and invites them to participate in building the Tabernacle—the place where His presence would dwell among them. This chapter teaches us that God is not merely interested in what we give, but in the condition of our hearts.
1. Worship Begins with Obedience
Moses first reminds the people to keep the Sabbath (Exodus 35:1–3). Before any work for God begins, they are called to rest and honor Him.
This teaches us an important principle: our relationship with God comes before our service for God. Ministry without fellowship can become empty activity. God desires our hearts before He desires our hands.
Application: Spend time with God daily. Let your service flow out of worship, not obligation.
2. God Loves a Willing Heart
Repeatedly, Exodus 35 says that those who came were those “whose hearts were stirred” and “whose spirits were willing” (Exodus 35:21, 26, 29).
The people freely brought:
- Gold and silver
- Fine fabrics
- Precious stones
- Wood and oil
- Their skills and craftsmanship
No one was forced. Their giving was joyful because they were responding to God’s grace.
God still looks for willing hearts today. Whether we give our time, talents, finances, or encouragement, He delights in cheerful and voluntary service.
Application: Ask yourself, “Am I serving God because I have to, or because I love Him?”
3. God Uses Different Gifts for One Purpose
God filled Bezalel and Oholiab with wisdom, understanding, and skill to build the Tabernacle (Exodus 35:30–35). Others spun yarn, crafted materials, or contributed resources.
Not everyone had the same gift, but everyone had a place.
Likewise, the Church is one body with many members (1 Corinthians 12). Some teach, some lead, some encourage, some serve quietly behind the scenes. Every gift matters when it is offered to God.
Application: Don’t compare your gift with others. Faithfully use what God has entrusted to you.
4. God Can Redeem a Broken People
Only a few chapters earlier, these same people used their gold to make an idol. Now they willingly bring their gold to build God’s dwelling place.
This is a beautiful picture of God’s redeeming grace. What was once used for sin can now be dedicated to God’s glory.
God can transform our past failures into testimonies of His grace.
Application: Whatever mistakes are behind you, God can restore your life and use you for His kingdom.
Key Lessons from Exodus 35
- Worship begins with obedience and fellowship with God.
- God values willing hearts more than reluctant service.
- Every believer has unique gifts to build God’s kingdom.
- God’s grace restores people and redirects their lives for His glory.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for showing us through Exodus 35 that You delight in willing hearts. You do not force us to serve You, but You invite us to participate in Your work out of love and gratitude.
Lord, help us to place our relationship with You above all our activities. Teach us to worship You faithfully and to find rest in Your presence before we begin our work.
Give us generous hearts that gladly offer our time, talents, resources, and lives to You. Remove any reluctance, pride, or selfishness that keeps us from serving You wholeheartedly.
Thank You for giving each of us unique gifts. Help us to use them faithfully to strengthen Your Church, encourage others, and glorify Your name. Protect us from comparing ourselves with others, and instead help us rejoice in the different ways You work through Your people.
Lord, thank You that You are a God of restoration. Just as You transformed the Israelites after their failure, transform us by Your grace. Redeem our past mistakes and use our lives as testimonies of Your mercy and faithfulness.
May everything we do be done with willing hearts, joyful obedience, and a sincere desire to honor Jesus Christ.

God’s Grace, Covenant, and Transforming Presence
Message: God’s Mercy Restores What Sin Has Broken
Exodus 34 is one of the most beautiful chapters in the Bible because it reveals both God’s character and His willingness to restore His people. After Israel’s terrible sin of worshiping the golden calf (Exodus 32), God did not abandon them. Instead, He called Moses to return to Mount Sinai with two new stone tablets so that He could renew His covenant with Israel.
As the Lord passed before Moses, He proclaimed His own name:
“The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.” (Exodus 34:6–7)
These verses are among the most quoted descriptions of God throughout the Old Testament. They remind us that God is holy, but He is also rich in mercy. He delights in forgiving those who sincerely repent. At the same time, God does not ignore sin; His justice and His mercy always work together perfectly.
God renewed His covenant with Israel and instructed them not to follow the idolatrous practices of the surrounding nations. He desired His people to remain holy and faithful because they belonged to Him.
At the end of the chapter, Moses came down from Mount Sinai with his face shining because he had been in God’s presence. Moses was unaware that his face radiated God’s glory, but the people saw it and were filled with awe.
Today, believers experience a similar transformation. As we spend time with God through His Word, prayer, worship, and obedience, He changes us from the inside out. We may not have a shining face like Moses, but our attitudes, words, love, and character begin to reflect Christ. Others can see the evidence that we have been with the Lord.
Exodus 34 teaches us three lasting truths:
- God is gracious and ready to forgive those who repent.
- God calls His people to live holy and faithful lives in a world filled with distractions and idols.
- Time spent in God’s presence transforms us so that we reflect His glory to others.
May we continually seek God’s presence, trust in His mercy, and allow His Spirit to shape us into the image of Jesus Christ.

Thank You for revealing Your wonderful character. You are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Thank You for Your mercy that reaches us even when we fail. Through Jesus Christ, You have made a way for us to receive complete forgiveness and restoration.
Lord, forgive us for the times we have allowed idols to take Your place in our hearts. Remove anything that draws us away from You—whether it is pride, fear, selfish ambition, or the distractions of this world. Help us to love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Teach us to treasure Your presence each day. As we read Your Word, pray, and worship You, transform our hearts. Make us more patient, more loving, more humble, and more faithful. May our lives reflect the character of Christ so that others may see Your light through us.
Give us courage to remain faithful in a world that often rejects Your truth. Help us to obey Your commands with joyful hearts, trusting that Your ways are always good.
May Your grace restore what has been broken in our lives, strengthen our faith, and fill us with hope. Let our lives bring glory to Your holy name and become a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.

Draw Near to God’s Presence
Message: The Greatest Blessing Is God’s Presence
Exodus 33 is one of the most intimate chapters in the Bible. After Israel sinned by worshiping the golden calf, God declared that He would still bring them to the Promised Land, but He would not go with them because of their rebellion (Exodus 33:1–3). Moses immediately recognized that the greatest loss was not the land—it was the absence of God’s presence.
Moses pleaded with God:
“If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” (Exodus 33:15)
This statement reminds us that success, prosperity, and even God’s blessings can never replace a close relationship with Him. The true treasure of the Christian life is not merely what God gives us, but God Himself.
1. God’s Presence Makes Us Different
God’s presence distinguished Israel from every other nation.
“What else will distinguish me and Your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” (Exodus 33:16)
Today, believers are called to be different, not because of wealth, education, or achievements, but because Christ lives within us through the Holy Spirit. His presence changes our character, guides our decisions, and fills us with peace and love.
2. God Invites Us into a Personal Relationship
Exodus 33 says that Moses spoke with the Lord “face to face, as one speaks to a friend” (v.11). This does not mean Moses literally saw God’s full glory, but it describes the close and personal fellowship they enjoyed.
God desires this kind of relationship with every believer. Through Jesus Christ, we are invited to come boldly before God’s throne in prayer, knowing that He hears us and welcomes us.
3. Seek God’s Glory Above His Gifts
Moses did not stop by asking for guidance. He prayed one of the greatest prayers in Scripture:
“Now show me Your glory.” (Exodus 33:18)
Moses had already witnessed miracles, the Red Sea, manna from heaven, and God’s power on Mount Sinai. Yet he still longed to know God more deeply.
This teaches us never to become satisfied with past spiritual experiences. Our desire should continually be to know God more, love Him more, and reflect His glory in our lives.
4. God’s Grace Covers Our Weakness
God reminded Moses that no one could see His full glory and live. Yet God lovingly placed Moses in the cleft of the rock and covered him with His hand while His glory passed by (Exodus 33:22–23).
This beautiful picture points us toward Jesus Christ. We cannot stand before God’s perfect holiness on our own, but through Christ we are sheltered by God’s grace. Because of Jesus, we can approach God with confidence and receive His mercy.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me that Your presence is the greatest blessing I could ever receive. Forgive me for the times I have focused more on Your gifts than on knowing You personally.
Like Moses, I pray, “If Your presence does not go with me, do not send me.” Guide every step of my life. Help me never to depend only on my own wisdom, strength, or plans, but to seek Your direction in all that I do.
Lord, make my life different because You are with me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that others may see Your love, peace, patience, kindness, and faithfulness through my words and actions.
Give me a deeper hunger to know You. Let me never become satisfied with yesterday’s faith, but continue to seek Your glory each day through Your Word, prayer, and obedience.
Thank You for Your amazing grace through Jesus Christ. Though I am imperfect, You have made a way for me to come into Your presence with confidence. Help me to walk closely with You every day until the day I see You face to face.

The Danger of Idolatry and the Mercy of God
Exodus 32 records one of the saddest moments in Israel’s journey. While Moses was on Mount Sinai receiving God’s commandments, the people grew impatient. Instead of trusting God, they asked Aaron to make them a golden calf to worship. They exchanged the glory of the living God for an idol made by human hands. This chapter reminds us that when we lose patience and take our eyes off God, we become vulnerable to replacing Him with things that promise temporary comfort but cannot save.
The golden calf represents anything that takes God’s rightful place in our hearts. Today, idols may not be made of gold, but they can be success, wealth, pleasure, technology, status, or even our own desires. Whenever we trust these more than we trust God, we fall into the same danger as the Israelites.
Yet Exodus 32 is also a powerful picture of God’s mercy. Although God was justly angry over Israel’s sin, Moses stood before Him and pleaded for the people. Moses became an intercessor, asking God to remember His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. This points us forward to Jesus Christ, our perfect Mediator, who continually intercedes for us before the Father and offers forgiveness through His sacrifice.
Moses also showed that true repentance requires action. The people had to acknowledge their sin, remove the idol, and return to wholehearted obedience. God desires not only confession with our lips but repentance that transforms our hearts.
The message of Exodus 32 is clear:
- Be patient and trust God’s timing.
- Guard your heart against modern-day idols.
- Remember that sin has serious consequences.
- Rejoice that God is merciful to those who sincerely repent.
- Follow Jesus, our perfect Intercessor, who leads us back into fellowship with God.
We Pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for teaching us through Exodus 32. We confess that, like the Israelites, we are sometimes impatient and allow other things to take Your place in our hearts. Forgive us for the idols we have built—whether they are our ambitions, possessions, fears, or self-reliance.
Lord, help us to trust Your perfect timing instead of seeking our own solutions. Give us discernment to recognize anything that draws us away from You, and give us the courage to remove it from our lives.
Thank You for Your great mercy. Thank You for Jesus Christ, our Savior and our perfect Intercessor, who stands before You on our behalf and has made a way for us to be forgiven and restored. Help us to live in gratitude for His sacrifice every day.
Create in us clean hearts that worship You alone. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that our thoughts, words, and actions bring glory to Your name. May we remain faithful even when we must wait, and may our lives be a testimony of unwavering trust and obedience.
Strengthen Your church to worship You in spirit and truth. Help us encourage one another to remain faithful until the day Christ returns.

Called, Gifted, and Set Apart
Exodus 31 reveals that God not only gives His people commandments, but He also provides the people, wisdom, and strength needed to carry them out. This chapter highlights three important truths: God equips His servants, God values rest, and God establishes His covenant with His people.
1. God Gives Spiritual Gifts for His Glory
God chose Bezalel and Oholiab to build the Tabernacle. He filled them with His Spirit, giving them wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill in every kind of craftsmanship (Exodus 31:1–11).
This reminds us that every talent and ability we possess is a gift from God. Whether we teach, encourage, build, serve, lead, or create, our gifts are meant to glorify Him and bless others. God calls ordinary people and empowers them to accomplish extraordinary work for His kingdom.
2. God Commands His People to Rest
God reminded Israel to keep the Sabbath holy. The Sabbath was more than a day off—it was a sign of trust. By resting, God’s people declared that their lives depended on Him, not merely on their own labor.
In today’s busy world, we often measure ourselves by productivity. Yet God invites us to pause, worship, and remember that He is our Provider. True rest is found in trusting Him.
3. God Desires a Covenant Relationship
The chapter ends with God giving Moses the two stone tablets written by the finger of God. This demonstrates that God’s law came directly from Him and reflected His holy character. His commandments were not simply rules but an invitation to live in fellowship with Him.
Today, through Jesus Christ, God continues to write His truth upon our hearts, calling us to live lives of obedience, love, and faithfulness.
Life Application
- Use your God-given gifts to serve Him faithfully.
- Make time to rest and worship, trusting God rather than relying only on your own efforts.
- Treasure God’s Word and allow it to shape your daily decisions.
- Remember that God equips everyone He calls.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for creating each of us with unique gifts and abilities. Just as You filled Bezalel and Oholiab with wisdom and skill, fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that everything we do may honor You. Help us to use our talents not for our own glory but to build Your kingdom and serve those around us.
Teach us to trust You enough to rest. In a world filled with constant activity and pressure, help us to find peace in Your presence. Remind us that You are our Provider, and our strength comes from You alone.
Write Your Word upon our hearts. Give us a desire to obey You, to walk in Your ways, and to grow in holiness each day. May our lives reflect Your love, wisdom, and faithfulness.
Lord, equip us for every good work You have prepared for us. May we serve You with joyful hearts until the day we see You face to face.

A Life of Worship, Prayer, Holiness, and Dependence on God
Exodus 30 may seem like a chapter filled with instructions about the tabernacle, but behind these details lies a beautiful picture of God’s desire for His people to draw near to Him with holy hearts. Every item described points beyond itself to our relationship with God and ultimately to Jesus Christ.
1. The Altar of Incense – A Picture of Continual Prayer (Exodus 30:1–10)
Every morning and evening, Aaron was commanded to burn fragrant incense before the Lord. The incense was to rise continually.
This reminds us that prayer is not meant to be an occasional activity but a continual offering before God.
Today, believers have direct access to God through Jesus Christ. Our prayers rise before Him like sweet incense.
Application
- Develop a daily habit of prayer.
- Pray not only when in trouble but also in thanksgiving.
- Keep close fellowship with God throughout the day.
2. The Atonement Money – Everyone Needs Redemption (Exodus 30:11–16)
Each Israelite, whether rich or poor, gave the same half-shekel as a ransom for his life.
The rich could not give more.
The poor could not give less.
This teaches that before God every person stands equally in need of salvation.
No amount of wealth, education, achievements, or good works can purchase forgiveness.
Jesus Christ paid the full price for everyone.
Application
- Salvation is God’s gift.
- We all come to Christ on equal ground.
- Never depend on our own righteousness.
3. The Bronze Basin – Cleansing Before Service (Exodus 30:17–21)
Before entering God’s presence or serving Him, the priests washed their hands and feet.
Although believers are already saved, we still need continual cleansing from daily sins and spiritual impurities.
Jesus taught this when He washed the disciples’ feet.
Application
- Confess sins regularly.
- Do not allow bitterness, pride, or hidden sin to remain.
- Let God’s Word continually cleanse our hearts.
4. The Holy Anointing Oil – The Work of the Holy Spirit (Exodus 30:22–33)
The holy oil was used to consecrate the tabernacle, its furnishings, and the priests.
This oil points to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
God desires His people not merely to work for Him but to be empowered by His Spirit.
Without the Holy Spirit, ministry becomes human effort.
With the Holy Spirit, service becomes fruitful and glorifies God.
Application
- Depend daily upon the Holy Spirit.
- Ask God to fill and guide you.
- Serve God in His strength rather than your own.
5. The Holy Incense – Worship Belongs to God Alone (Exodus 30:34–38)
The incense was unique and could never be copied for personal enjoyment.
This teaches that worship belongs exclusively to God.
God desires sincere worship rather than outward religious performance.
He seeks hearts that love Him.
Application

We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for revealing through Exodus 30 what it means to live in close fellowship with You. Thank You that through Jesus Christ we have confidence to come into Your presence, not because of our own righteousness, but because He has paid the full price for our redemption.
Lord, teach us to be people of continual prayer. May our prayers rise before You like sweet incense, not only in times of need but also in gratitude, praise, and worship. Help us to seek Your presence each day and to remain in constant communion with You.
Search our hearts and reveal anything that displeases You. Wash us from hidden sins, pride, unforgiveness, and every impurity. Create in us clean hearts and renew a steadfast spirit within us, so that we may serve You with sincerity and joy.
Fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit. Keep us from relying on our own strength, wisdom, or abilities. Empower us to live faithfully, to serve humbly, to witness courageously, and to glorify Christ in every part of our lives.
May our worship never become routine or merely outward. Help us to love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Let our lives be a pleasing offering that brings honor to Your holy name.
We thank You that Jesus Christ continually intercedes for us and that through Him we have forgiveness, cleansing, and eternal hope. Help us to walk each day in obedience, holiness, and joyful dependence upon You until the day we see You face to face.

Consecrated to Serve God
Exodus 29 continues God’s instructions for the ordination of Aaron and his sons as priests. This chapter is not merely about ancient ceremonies; it reveals God’s desire for His people to be holy, to live in fellowship with Him, and to dedicate their lives completely to His service.
1. God Calls His Servants to Be Consecrated
Before Aaron and his sons could minister, they had to be washed, clothed, anointed, and sacrifices had to be offered on their behalf (Exodus 29:4–21). This reminds us that no one is worthy to serve God through personal merit. We all need cleansing from sin.
For Christians, this points to Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice cleanses us once and for all. Through Him, we are made holy and are called to serve as a “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9).
Reflection: Serving God begins with a transformed heart, not merely outward activity.
2. Dedication Requires Our Whole Life
The blood placed on the priests’ right ear, right thumb, and right big toe symbolized that every part of their lives belonged to God.
- Ear – Listen to God’s voice.
- Hand – Do God’s work faithfully.
- Foot – Walk in God’s ways.
Our faith is not limited to church services. God desires our thoughts, words, work, relationships, and daily decisions to reflect His holiness.
3. Worship Is an Ongoing Relationship
God commanded continual offerings every morning and evening (Exodus 29:38–42). These regular sacrifices reminded Israel that fellowship with God was continuous, not occasional.
Today, although Christ’s sacrifice is complete, we are called to continually offer ourselves to God through prayer, worship, thanksgiving, and obedience.
4. God’s Greatest Desire Is to Dwell Among His People
The chapter concludes with one of its most beautiful promises:
“Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.” (Exodus 29:45)
From the beginning, God’s heart has been to live among His people. This promise ultimately finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ, “God with us,” and through the Holy Spirit who dwells within every believer.
God is not interested only in rituals—He desires a close, personal relationship with His people.
Application
Ask yourself:
- Am I fully dedicated to God’s service?
- Do I listen carefully to His voice?
- Are my actions and daily walk honoring Him?
- Am I cultivating a daily relationship with God, or only seeking Him occasionally?
- Do I recognize that God’s greatest desire is to dwell with His people?
God still calls ordinary people to live holy lives and serve Him faithfully. Through Jesus Christ, we have been cleansed, set apart, and invited into His presence every day.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the lessons found in Exodus 29. Thank You for showing us that You are a holy God who lovingly calls people into Your service. We acknowledge that we cannot approach You by our own righteousness, but only through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Lord, consecrate our lives to You. Cleanse our hearts, renew our minds, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Help us to listen carefully with our ears, serve faithfully with our hands, and walk obediently with our feet. May every part of our lives bring glory to Your name.
Teach us that worship is not just something we do on certain days, but a daily life of devotion, gratitude, and obedience. Help us to spend time with You each day through Your Word and prayer, growing closer to You.
Thank You for Your wonderful promise to dwell among Your people. May Your presence fill our homes, our churches, and our hearts. Let others see Christ in our words, attitudes, and actions.
Strengthen all who are serving You in ministry. Encourage pastors, missionaries, church leaders, volunteers, and every believer to remain faithful and humble. Use us to be a blessing to those around us and to share the hope of the Gospel with the world.
We dedicate ourselves anew to You today. May our lives be living sacrifices, holy and pleasing in Your sight, and may everything we do honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Clothed for God’s Presence
Exodus 28 focuses on the garments of Aaron and his sons, whom God appointed to serve as priests. At first glance, the chapter appears to be about clothing, colors, and precious stones. Yet beneath these details lies a profound spiritual message: God calls His people to holiness, carries them close to His heart, and equips them to serve Him faithfully.
1. God Calls People to Serve Him
God chose Aaron and his sons for the priesthood. This calling was not based on personal achievement but on God’s grace and purpose.
Today, through Jesus Christ, every believer is called to serve God. We are reminded that our service is a privilege, not something we earn. God invites us into His work and equips us for it.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession…” (1 Peter 2:9)
2. Holiness Matters
The priestly garments were made “for glory and for beauty” (Exodus 28:2). Every detail reflected the holiness of God. The priests were to approach God with reverence and purity.
Although Christians no longer wear priestly garments, God still desires us to “put on” a holy way of life. We are called to clothe ourselves with compassion, humility, kindness, and love, reflecting Christ in our daily lives.
3. Carry Others Before God
The high priest wore two onyx stones on his shoulders engraved with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, symbolizing that he carried God’s people before the Lord. He also wore the breastpiece with twelve precious stones over his heart, showing that God’s people were carried both on his shoulders and close to his heart.
This reminds us to faithfully pray for our families, churches, communities, and those in need. We are called to bear one another’s burdens and intercede for others.
4. Christ Is Our Perfect High Priest
Aaron’s priesthood pointed forward to Jesus Christ, our perfect and eternal High Priest. Unlike Aaron, Jesus never sinned. He entered God’s presence once for all through His sacrifice on the cross and continually intercedes for us.
When we feel weak or unworthy, we can confidently come to God because Jesus represents us before the Father.
Reflection
Exodus 28 reminds us that:
- God graciously calls us to serve Him.
- Holiness should characterize every aspect of our lives.
- We are called to pray for and care for others.
- Jesus Christ is our perfect High Priest who continually intercedes for us.
May we live each day clothed with Christ’s righteousness and faithfully serve Him with joyful hearts.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for calling us to belong to You and for allowing us to serve in Your kingdom. Just as You prepared Aaron for holy service, prepare our hearts to live lives that honor You. Help us to pursue holiness, not by our own strength, but through the transforming power of Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, teach us to carry others before You in prayer. Give us compassionate hearts for our families, friends, neighbors, and those who are suffering. Help us to faithfully encourage, support, and love those You have placed in our lives.
Thank You for sending Jesus Christ, our perfect High Priest, who continually intercedes for us. Thank You that because of His sacrifice, we can come boldly into Your presence with confidence and receive Your grace and mercy.
Clothe us each day with Christ’s righteousness, humility, love, wisdom, and faithfulness. May everything we say and do bring glory to Your holy name. Use our lives to reflect Your goodness and point others to Jesus.

A Message: Living as God’s Light in a World of Darkness
Exodus 27 continues God’s instructions for the Tabernacle. Although it focuses on the bronze altar, the courtyard, and the oil for the lampstand, these details reveal profound spiritual truths that still apply to believers today.
1. The Bronze Altar – There Is No Approach to God Without Sacrifice (Exodus 27:1–8)
The bronze altar stood at the entrance of the Tabernacle. Before anyone could enter God’s presence, a sacrifice had to be offered.
This reminds us that sin separates humanity from God, and forgiveness requires atonement. For Christians, the altar points forward to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Through His death, we receive forgiveness and are welcomed into God’s presence.
Reflection:
- Am I relying on Christ’s sacrifice alone for my salvation?
- Do I approach God with gratitude for His grace?
Key Truth: We come to God not because of our goodness, but because of God’s mercy through Christ.
2. The Courtyard – God Invites Everyone Who Seeks Him (Exodus 27:9–19)
The Tabernacle courtyard had one entrance. Everyone entered through the same gate.
Jesus later declared:
“I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.” (John 10:9)
There was only one entrance into God’s dwelling, symbolizing that there is one way to God—through Jesus Christ. At the same time, that entrance was open to anyone who came in faith.
Reflection:
- Have I entered through God’s appointed way?
- Am I inviting others to know Christ?
Key Truth: God’s invitation is open to all, but His way is through His Son.
3. The Lamp Must Never Go Out (Exodus 27:20–21)
God instructed the Israelites to continually provide pure olive oil so the lamps would burn every night.
The continual light symbolized:
- God’s constant presence.

- The responsibility of His people to keep the light shining.
Today, believers are called to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16). We keep our spiritual lamps burning by remaining in God’s Word, praying faithfully, obeying Him, and depending on the Holy Spirit.

- Is my spiritual light growing brighter or becoming dim?
- Am I helping others see Christ through my words and actions?
Key Truth: God calls His people to shine faithfully until He comes.
Life Application
Exodus 27 teaches us three enduring lessons:

God is willing to dwell among His people
Theme: God’s presence requires holiness and also foreshadows Christ as our way to draw near to God.
Exodus chapter 26 mainly records the construction of the tabernacle of meeting, including the design of the curtain, tabernacle, planks, silver seat, and the Most Holy of Holies. On the surface, it may seem like just architectural specifications, but every detail reflects God’s will and foreshadows the salvation that will be accomplished through Jesus Christ in the future.
1. God longs to dwell among His people
God commanded the Israelites to build the Tabernacle not because He needed a dwelling, but because He was willing to live with His people.
「又當為我造聖所，使我可以住在他們中間。 」（出埃及記25:8）
The tabernacle reminds us:
- God is not unreachable.
- God actively draws near to those He loves.
- Today, believers become God’s dwelling temple through the Holy Spirit (see 1 Corinthians 3:16).
Reflection:
Do I welcome God into my life every day? Or do you only seek Him when you face difficulties?
2. God is orderly and planned
Throughout the chapter, the scripture repeatedly mentions “in the pattern you have indicated.”
God did not allow Moses to design the tabernacle according to his own preferences, but instead required him to follow God’s blueprint exactly.
This reminds us:
- God values obedience over creativity.
- Spiritual life needs to be built upon God’s word, not on human thoughts.
- Church ministry, family life, and personal faith should all be grounded in God’s truth.
Reflection:
Am I willing to live according to God’s way, rather than just following my own preferences?
3. The veil foreshadows Jesus Christ

In the Old Testament:
- The High Priest can only enter once a year.
- The people cannot come directly before God.
But when the Lord Jesus was crucified,
The curtain of the temple was split in two from top to bottom (see Matthew 27:51).
This means:
- Jesus became the only mediator between humans and God.
- Because of Christ, we can confidently and fearlessly approach God’s throne of grace.
Today, we do not need priests but can pray directly to the Father.
4. Each wooden board is connected to each other
The tabernacle was not made of a single wooden plank, but was made up of many planks joined together and fastened with crossbars.
This symbolizes:
- Every believer is a part of God’s household.
- No one can become a complete church alone.
- God connects people with different gifts to jointly build the body of Christ.
Reflection:
Am I willing to support each other with my brothers and sisters, rather than walking the path of faith alone?
5. Ordinary on the outside, glorious within
The outer layer of the tabernacle is covered with fur seal skin (or durable leather), which looks inconspicuous.
However, inside it is full of:
- Pure gold
- Blue, purple, and vermilion lines
- Cherub embroidery
- God’s glorious presence
This reminds us that
God values inner life, not outward splendor.
Today, many people value appearance, achievements, and status, but God values even more:
- Love
- Holy
- Confidence
- 順服
Today’s spiritual reminder
Exodus chapter 26 tells us:
- God longs to dwell with His people.
- God asks us to live according to His truth.
- Jesus Christ has opened the way for us to draw closer to God.
- The church needs to connect with one another and build together.
- God values the inner aspect of life more than the external glory.
May we make our lives every day the “Tabernacle” where God delights in dwelling, filling our families, churches, and lives with God’s presence.
We pray
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You, through Exodus chapter 26, for showing us Your desire to dwell among Your people. You are not a distant God, but a God willing to walk and dwell with us. Please help us to follow You every day with reverence and obedience, so that our lives may become a place where You delight in dwelling.
Lord Jesus, thank You for tearing the veil separating humans and God through the cross, so that today we can come before the Heavenly Father with confidence and fear. Please keep us close to You always, not relying on our own wisdom, but following Your word and living according to Your will.
Holy Spirit, please build up our church, so that brothers and sisters may love and support one another, and unite in heart to build up the Body of Christ. Removing pride, ego, and indifference from our hearts allows us to learn unity and grow in love.
Lord, please remind us not to pursue only external success and glory, but to value the renewal of our inner life even more. May we live out holiness, humility, faithfulness, and love, so that the world may see the glory of Christ in us.
May Your presence fill our families, work, churches, and life paths every day, making us witnesses of Your glory wherever we are.
We pray this way in the name of the victorious Lord Jesus Christ.

A Dwelling Place for God’s Presence
Message: God Desires to Dwell Among His People
Exodus 25 marks a significant turning point in Israel’s journey. After God established His covenant with Israel, He instructed Moses to build the Tabernacle—a sacred place where His presence would dwell among His people.
“Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them.” (Exodus 25:8)
This chapter is not merely about constructing a tent or crafting beautiful furniture. It reveals God’s heart: He desires to live in relationship with His people.
1. God Invites Willing Hearts
God did not demand offerings from everyone. Instead, He said:
“Receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.” (Exodus 25:2)
God values a willing heart more than the gift itself. Whether it is our time, talents, finances, or service, He delights in offerings that come from love rather than obligation.
This reminds us that true worship is never forced—it flows from gratitude and devotion.
2. The Tabernacle Points to Jesus Christ
The Tabernacle was designed according to God’s exact pattern. Every detail had meaning.
- The Ark of the Covenant represented God’s throne and His holy presence.
- The Mercy Seat (the cover of the Ark) was where atonement was made, symbolizing God’s mercy overcoming judgment.
- The Table of Showbread reminded Israel that God continually provides for His people.
- The Golden Lampstand symbolized God’s light shining in the darkness.
These furnishings foreshadow Jesus Christ:
- Jesus is God’s presence among us.
- Jesus is our Bread of Life.
- Jesus is the Light of the World.
- Jesus is the perfect sacrifice through whom we receive mercy.
The Tabernacle was ultimately a picture of God’s plan of salvation fulfilled in Christ.
3. God Cares About Holiness and Obedience
God repeatedly instructed Moses to make everything according to the pattern He revealed.
This teaches us that worship is not based on human preference but on God’s will. Obedience is an expression of our love for Him.
Today, we no longer worship in a physical tabernacle. Through the Holy Spirit, believers have become God’s temple (see 1 Corinthians 3:16). Therefore, we are called to live lives that honor His holy presence.
4. Our Hearts Are God’s Dwelling Place
The greatest lesson from Exodus 25 is not about gold, silver, or fine craftsmanship.
It is about God’s desire to dwell with His people.
From the Garden of Eden, to the Tabernacle, to the Temple, to Jesus dwelling among humanity, and now through the Holy Spirit living within believers, God’s purpose has remained the same:
He longs to have fellowship with His children.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for revealing Your heart in Exodus 25. You are not a distant God who wishes to remain far away; You are the God who desires to dwell among Your people. Thank You for making a way through Jesus Christ so that we can come into Your presence with confidence.
Lord, give me a willing heart. Help me to offer You my time, my gifts, my resources, and my life—not out of obligation, but out of love and gratitude. Teach me that true worship begins with a surrendered heart.
Create in me a clean heart so that my life may become a dwelling place for Your Holy Spirit. Remove anything that hinders my fellowship with You. Help me to live in obedience to Your Word and to seek Your presence above all else.
Thank You for being my Provider, my Light, and my Mercy. May my life reflect Your holiness and Your love to those around me. Let Your presence guide my decisions, strengthen my faith, and fill me with peace each day.
May I continually seek You, knowing that the greatest blessing is not what You give me, but that You are with me.

A Message: “Draw Near to God”
Exodus 24 is a beautiful chapter about covenant, worship, and fellowship with God. After giving His commandments, God invited Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the elders of Israel to come near to Him. The people responded together, “Everything the Lord has said, we will do.” Moses then built an altar, offered sacrifices, and sprinkled the blood of the covenant, showing that the relationship between God and His people was established through grace and commitment.
One of the most remarkable moments is when the leaders of Israel saw the God of Israel and ate and drank in His presence (Exodus 24:9–11). This points to a deep truth: God does not merely command His people from a distance—He desires relationship and fellowship with them.
The chapter ends with Moses going up the mountain, where the glory of the Lord covered Mount Sinai. Moses waited before entering God’s presence, reminding us that approaching God involves reverence, patience, and trust.

Walking in God’s Justice, Presence, and Promises
Exodus 23 concludes the Book of the Covenant by teaching God’s people how to live differently from the world around them. The chapter emphasizes justice, compassion, holiness, worship, and trusting God’s guidance. It also contains God’s wonderful promise to send His Angel before Israel to lead them into the Promised Land.
Message: Living as God’s People
One of the strongest themes in Exodus 23 is choosing righteousness even when the majority chooses otherwise.
“You shall not follow a crowd to do evil.” (Exodus 23:2)
God reminds His people that truth is not determined by popularity. There will always be pressure to compromise our values, remain silent in the face of injustice, or follow what everyone else is doing. But God’s people are called to stand for truth, even when they stand alone.
The chapter also teaches compassion. God commands Israel to help even an enemy’s wandering donkey (vv. 4–5). This reveals God’s heart: love is not limited to friends. His people are to show mercy even toward those who oppose them. This principle would later be perfectly fulfilled by Jesus, who taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.
Another important lesson is the command to observe the Sabbath and the annual festivals. These were not merely religious rituals; they reminded Israel that their relationship with God came before their work and possessions. Worship keeps our hearts centered on the One who provides everything.
Toward the end of the chapter comes one of God’s most encouraging promises:
“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.” (Exodus 23:20)
Israel would face enemies, obstacles, and uncertainty, but they would never walk alone. God Himself would go before them.
This promise also speaks to believers today. While our journey may include difficulties, God continues to guide His children. Sometimes He leads one step at a time rather than revealing the entire path. He asks for obedience today while He prepares tomorrow.
Finally, God tells Israel that He will not drive out all their enemies in a single year (vv. 29–30). Instead, He will give victory little by little. This teaches an important spiritual principle: God often grows us gradually. He is more interested in building our character than giving us instant success. His timing is always wise.
Reflection
- Am I willing to stand for God’s truth even when it is unpopular?
- Do I show kindness even to those who are difficult to love?
- Do I trust God’s guidance when I cannot see the whole journey?
- Am I patient with God’s “little by little” work in my life?
God’s promises are certain, but His timing is perfect. He calls us to faithful obedience while He faithfully prepares the path before us.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me through Exodus 23 that You are a God of justice, mercy, and faithfulness. Help me to live according to Your truth and not simply follow the crowd. Give me courage to do what is right, even when it is difficult or unpopular.
Lord, fill my heart with compassion. Teach me to love others as You have loved me, even those who have hurt or opposed me. Let my words and actions reflect Your grace and kindness.
Thank You for Your promise to go before Your people. When I face uncertainty, remind me that You are already preparing the way. Help me to trust You when I cannot see the whole picture. Give me peace to follow You one step at a time.
Father, teach me patience when Your work in my life seems slow. Help me remember that You often lead “little by little,” shaping my faith, strengthening my character, and preparing me for the blessings You have planned.
May my life be marked by obedience, worship, humility, and complete trust in You. Lead me each day by Your Spirit, and help me walk faithfully until I reach every place You have prepared for me.

A Message: God Cares About Justice, Compassion, and Holiness
Exodus 22 may appear to be a chapter filled with laws and regulations, but beneath every command is the heart of God. These laws reveal that God is not only concerned about worship, but also about how His people treat one another. Holiness is reflected in everyday actions.
1. God Desires Justice That Restores
The chapter begins with laws concerning theft, property damage, and restitution. Instead of merely punishing wrongdoing, God often required the offender to restore what was lost.
This teaches us that true justice is more than punishment—it seeks restoration. When we wrong someone, God calls us to take responsibility, make things right, and seek reconciliation.
Jesus echoed this principle by teaching His followers to reconcile with others before offering their gifts to God (Matthew 5:23–24).
2. God Has a Special Concern for the Vulnerable
One of the most touching parts of Exodus 22 is God’s command regarding widows, orphans, foreigners, and the poor:
“Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner… Do not take advantage of a widow or an orphan.” (Exodus 22:21–22)
God identifies Himself as the defender of those who have little earthly protection. He hears the cries of the oppressed and promises to act on their behalf.
This reminds believers that compassion is not optional. We reflect God’s heart when we care for those who are lonely, overlooked, struggling, or powerless.
3. God Calls His People to Live Differently
Near the end of the chapter, God says:
“You shall be holy people to Me.” (Exodus 22:31)
Israel was called to be different from the surrounding nations. Their worship, speech, business practices, and relationships were all meant to display God’s character.
Today, Christians are also called to be “salt and light” in the world. Holiness is not about appearing perfect; it is about belonging to God and allowing Him to shape every part of our lives.
Reflection
Exodus 22 reminds us that faith is lived out in practical ways. Loving God includes treating people fairly, showing mercy, keeping our integrity, and caring for those in need.
A heart transformed by God will demonstrate justice with compassion, truth with love, and holiness with humility.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for revealing Your heart through Your Word. You are a God of justice, mercy, and holiness. You care deeply about how we treat one another, especially those who are vulnerable and in need.
Lord, forgive us for the times we have acted selfishly, ignored the needs of others, or failed to make things right when we have caused hurt. Give us humble hearts that are willing to repent, restore relationships, and walk in integrity.
Teach us to reflect Your compassion. Help us to notice those who are lonely, poor, overlooked, or suffering. May we become instruments of Your love, showing kindness and generosity just as You have shown mercy to us.
Father, set us apart as Your holy people. Let our words, decisions, work, and relationships honor You. May our lives point others to Jesus, who perfectly fulfilled justice and demonstrated perfect love through the cross.
Fill us daily with Your Holy Spirit so that we may walk in obedience, love our neighbors sincerely, and glorify You in everything we do.

本章的一個關鍵訊息是， 每個人都有價值，因為他們是上帝所創造的。關於僕人、家庭、傷害和個人責任的法律顯示，上帝非常關心人們如何對待彼此。在一個弱者常被忽視的世界裡，上帝建立了保護弱勢的原則，並呼召祂的子民以不同於周遭國家的方式生活。
另一個重要的教訓是 ，我們的行為是有後果的。上帝教導祂的子民為他們造成的傷害負責，不論是有意還是無意。正義不是為了報復，而是為了恢復被破壞的一切，並維持社區內的和平。
對今天的信徒來說，出埃及記第21章指引我們走向耶穌基督。律法揭示了上帝完美的公義標準，耶穌則以彰顯完美的公義與完全的憐憫來成就律法。在十字架上，上帝對罪的公義與祂對罪人的愛相遇。因為基督，我們得以赦免並有能力在追求公義的同時，繼續施展恩典。

God Cares About Justice, Mercy, and Human Dignity
Exodus 21 may seem like a chapter filled with laws and regulations, but beneath these laws we see the heart of God. After giving the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20, God now teaches His people how to live in relationship with one another. Holiness is not only about worshiping God correctly—it is also about treating people with justice, compassion, and respect.
One of the key messages of this chapter is that every person has value because they are created by God. The laws concerning servants, families, injuries, and personal responsibility reveal that God is deeply concerned about how people treat one another. In a world where the weak were often ignored, God established principles that protected the vulnerable and called His people to live differently from the surrounding nations.
Another important lesson is that our actions have consequences. God teaches His people to take responsibility for the harm they cause, whether intentionally or accidentally. Justice is not about revenge but about restoring what has been broken and maintaining peace within the community.
For believers today, Exodus 21 points us toward Jesus Christ. While the law reveals God’s perfect standard of justice, Jesus fulfilled the law by demonstrating both perfect justice and perfect mercy. At the cross, God’s justice against sin and His love for sinners met together. Because of Christ, we are forgiven and empowered to extend grace while still pursuing righteousness.
As followers of Christ, we are called to:
- Treat every person with dignity and respect.
- Take responsibility for our words and actions.
- Seek justice without hatred or revenge.
- Show mercy because God has first shown mercy to us.
When we live this way, we reflect the character of the God who is both holy and compassionate.
We pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for revealing Your heart through Your Word. Even in the laws of Exodus, we see that You are a God who loves justice, values every human life, and cares for the weak and vulnerable.
Lord, teach us to treat others with the same dignity and compassion that You have shown us. Forgive us for the times we have spoken carelessly, acted selfishly, or failed to love our neighbors as ourselves. Help us to take responsibility for our actions and to seek peace wherever we go.
Thank You for sending Jesus Christ, who fulfilled the law and demonstrated perfect justice and perfect mercy. Because of His sacrifice, we have received forgiveness that we could never earn. Fill our hearts with gratitude and transform us to become more like Him each day.
Holy Spirit, guide us to be people who stand for truth with humility, pursue justice with compassion, and extend forgiveness without compromising righteousness. May our lives be a testimony of Your love and holiness.
Help us to honor You not only in our worship but also in the way we speak, work, serve, and care for those around us. Let Your kingdom be reflected through our daily lives.
