申命記第22章——在生活中活出愛心、責任與聖潔
一、經文內容描述
申命記22章雖然包含好多不同嘅律例，但核心係教導神嘅百姓：敬畏神唔只係喺敬拜時，而係要喺每日生活、人際關係、家庭婚姻同道德上活出神嘅心意。
首先，神吩咐人見到弟兄嘅牛、羊或者其他牲畜走失時，不可以視若無睹，而要盡力幫助帶返去。甚至見到別人嘅牲畜跌倒，都要幫助扶起。呢啲看似好小嘅事情，卻提醒我哋：愛人唔只係講說話，而係願意承擔責任、主動幫助別人。
其次，本章有關衣服、房屋安全、婚姻以及性方面嘅律例，反映神要求以色列人與周圍民族有所分別。神重視人嘅身體、婚姻同家庭，亦要求祂嘅百姓遠離淫亂、欺騙同不潔。
其中有啲律例屬於古代以色列嘅民事及宗教制度，今日基督徒唔可以全部直接照搬執行；但背後嘅屬靈原則仍然重要——神要我哋尊重生命、忠於婚姻、保守聖潔、誠實待人。
呢章亦提醒我哋，神所關心嘅唔只係「大事」，連生活中細微嘅事情，祂都看重。對一隻走失嘅牲畜嘅態度，都可以反映一個人有冇憐憫、有冇責任心。
二、重要經文
申命記22:1
「你若看見你弟兄的牛或羊失迷了路，不可佯為不見，總要把牠牽回你弟兄。」
呢節經文非常實際。
我哋有時見到別人有需要，可能會諗：「呢件事同我無關。」但神提醒我哋，對弟兄姊妹嘅需要唔應該冷漠。
愛人，就是願意伸出手。
有時一個簡單嘅幫助、一句安慰、一個關心嘅電話，都可能成為神使用我哋祝福別人嘅方法。
申命記22:4
「你若看見弟兄的牛或驢跌倒在路上，不能佯為不見，必定要與他一同扶起來。」
「與他一同扶起來」非常有意思。
信仰唔係叫我哋只顧自己行得好，而係當弟兄姊妹跌倒、疲倦或者軟弱時，願意陪佢一齊行。
今日教會更加需要呢種彼此扶持嘅生命。
申命記22:8
「你若建造房屋，要在房上的四圍安欄杆……免得有人從房上掉下來。」
呢條律例提醒我哋：愛人亦包括預防別人受到傷害。
神唔單止關心我哋做咗啲咩，也關心我哋有冇因疏忽而令別人受傷。
所以無論家庭、教會或者工作，我哋都應該有責任感，盡力避免自己嘅行為成為別人嘅絆腳石。
三、給今日基督徒的提醒
申命記22章可以帶畀我哋幾個重要提醒：
第一，不要對別人的需要視而不見。
神呼召我哋成為有憐憫、有愛心嘅人。
第二，要學習彼此扶持。
當弟兄姊妹跌倒時，我哋唔係第一時間定罪，而係用愛心幫助佢重新站起來。
第三，要保守自己聖潔。
神重視婚姻、身體同道德生活。今日我哋亦應該靠住聖靈，遠離誘惑，尊重神所賜嘅身體同婚姻。
第四，信仰要落實喺生活。
敬虔唔只係返教會、讀聖經、祈禱，而係體現在我哋點樣對待家人、弟兄姊妹，以及身邊有需要嘅人。

親愛天父，
多謝祢藉住申命記22章提醒我哋，真正嘅信仰唔單止係口裡面講愛祢，更加要喺每日嘅生活中活出愛心、責任、公義同聖潔。
主啊，求祢赦免我哋，有時見到別人有需要，卻選擇視而不見；見到弟兄姊妹軟弱，卻只係批評，而唔願意伸出手幫助。
求祢賜我哋一顆憐憫嘅心，使我哋能夠留意身邊嘅人。當有人迷失時，求祢使用我哋將佢帶返正路；當有人跌倒時，叫我哋願意陪佢一同站起來；當有人傷心時，叫我哋成為安慰佢嘅人。
主啊，求祢保守我哋嘅思想、眼目、言語同身體，使我哋遠離罪惡同誘惑，尊重祢所設立嘅婚姻同家庭。求聖靈每日提醒我哋，使我哋喺暗中、喺人睇唔見嘅地方，都仍然持守聖潔。
求祢亦賜我哋智慧，叫我哋做事有責任、有愛心，不因自己嘅疏忽而使別人受到傷害。
主啊，求祢特別平靜我哋煩躁紛亂嘅心。當我哋自己疲倦、軟弱或者感到孤單時，求祢讓我哋知道，祢仍然與我哋同在。求祢亦預備弟兄姊妹喺適當嘅時候扶持我哋，使我哋彼此相愛、彼此擔當。
願我哋唔單止明白祢嘅話，更願意將祢嘅話活出來，在家庭、教會同每日生活中成為別人嘅祝福。

Deuteronomy Chapter 22 — Living with love, responsibility, and holiness in life
1. Description of the Scripture Content
Although Deuteronomy 22 contains many different laws, its core teaches God’s people: fearing God is not just about worship, but about living out God’s will in daily life, relationships, family and marriage, and morality
First, God commands that when people see a brother’s cattle, sheep, or other livestock that have gone astray, they must not ignore it but do their best to help bring it back. Even if they see someone else’s livestock fall, help lift it up. These seemingly small things remind us: loving others is not just talking, but being willing to take responsibility and actively help others
Second, the chapter’s laws concerning clothing, house safety, marriage, and sexuality reflect God’s requirement for the Israelites to be distinguished from neighboring nations. God values the human body, marriage, and family, and also requires His people to stay away from immorality, deception, and impurity.
Some of these laws are part of the civil and religious systems of ancient Israel, and today Christians cannot simply copy and enforce them all; But the underlying spiritual principles remain important—God wants us to respect life, be faithful to marriage, keep holiness, and treat others honestly
This chapter also reminds us that God cares not only about ‘big things’ but also values the small details of daily life. The attitude toward a lost livestock can reflect whether a person has compassion and responsibility.
2. Important scriptures
Deuteronomy 22:1
“If you see your brother’s ox or sheep lost on their way, do not pretend not to see it; you must bring it back to your brother.”
This verse is very practical.
Sometimes when we see others in need, we might think, “This has nothing to do with me.” But God reminds us not to be indifferent to the needs of brothers and sisters.
To love someone is to be willing to reach out a hand.
Sometimes, a simple help, a comforting word, or a caring phone call can become God’s way of using us to bless others.
Deuteronomy 22:4
“If you see your brother’s ox or donkey stumble on the road, do not pretend not to see it; you must help him up with him.”
“Helping him up together” is very interesting
Faith does not mean we should only care about walking well ourselves, but rather be willing to walk with brothers and sisters when they fall, grow tired, or weak.
Today, the church needs this kind of mutually supportive life even more.
Deuteronomy 22:8
“If you build a house, put railings around it…… so that no one may fall from the roof.”
This law reminds us: loving others also includes preventing others from being hurt
God not only cares about what we do, but also whether our negligence hurts others.
So whether it’s family, church, or work, we should all have a sense of responsibility and do our best to avoid our actions becoming obstacles for others.
3. Reminders for Christians Today
Deuteronomy chapter 22 can offer us several important reminders:
First, do not turn a blind eye to the needs of others.
God calls us to be compassionate and loving people
Second, we must learn to support one another.
When brothers and sisters fall, we do not condemn them immediately, but use love to help them get back up
Third, we must keep ourselves holy.
God values marriage, the body, and moral life. Today, we should also rely on the Holy Spirit, avoid temptation, and respect the body and marriage God has given
Fourth, faith must be put into practice in daily life.
Piety is not just about going to church, reading the Bible, or praying; it is reflected in how we treat our family, brothers and sisters, and those in need around us
Prayer
Beloved Heavenly Father,
Thank You, through Deuteronomy 22, for reminding us that true faith is not just about saying we love You with our mouths, but also about living love, responsibility, justice, and holiness in our daily lives.
Lord, please forgive us that sometimes when we see others in need, we choose to turn a blind eye; when we see brothers and sisters weak, we only criticize them and are unwilling to reach out to help.
Grant us a heart of mercy, so that we can pay attention to those around us. When someone is lost, use us to bring them back on the right path; When someone falls, let us be willing to stand up with them; When someone is sad, let us be the ones who comfort them.
Lord, please guard our minds, eyes, words, and bodies, so that we may stay away from sin and temptation, and respect the marriage and family You have established. May the Holy Spirit remind us daily so that we may remain holy even in secret and out of sight.
Please also grant us wisdom, so that we act responsibly and lovingly, and not harm others because of our own negligence.
Lord, please especially calm our restless and chaotic hearts. When we ourselves are tired, weak, or feel lonely, please let us know that You are still with us. Please also prepare for brothers and sisters to support us at the right time, so that we may love and take responsibility for one another.

一、經文內容描述
申命記21章涉及幾個不同嘅生活範疇，包括無法查明嘅謀殺、戰爭中嘅俘虜、長子名分、悖逆嘅兒子，以及被掛在木頭上之人。表面上每一段好似各自獨立，但背後有一個共同嘅信息：神非常看重生命、公義、家庭秩序，以及人對神律法嘅尊重。

神要求父親即使偏愛某一個妻子，都不可因個人感情而剝奪長子應有嘅權利。
這提醒我哋：
神喜悅公平，唔喜悅偏心。
無論係家庭、教會或者人際關係，我哋都需要求神幫助自己唔按照個人喜好去判斷人。
申命記21:22-23
「被治死的人若被掛在木頭上……因為被掛的人是在神面前受咒詛的。」
呢段經文對基督徒非常重要。
保羅喺加拉太書3:13解釋，基督為我哋成為咒詛，因為經上記著：「凡掛在木頭上都是被咒詛的。」
耶穌本來冇罪，卻為我哋承擔罪嘅刑罰。
因此十字架唔只係痛苦嘅記號，更係神愛我哋、基督代替我哋、成就救恩嘅記號。
三、今日給我們的提醒
第一，神看重生命。
人可能睇唔到所有事情，但神知道每一個生命所受嘅傷害。
第二，神要求我哋公平。
唔好因為喜歡某人就偏袒，也唔好因為唔喜歡某人就不公平對待。
第三，罪不能輕看。
真正嘅平安唔係假裝問題不存在，而係將罪帶到神面前，接受祂嘅赦免同更新。
第四，十字架顯明神嘅恩典。
申命記21章最後帶我哋望向基督。祂親自擔當我哋本來應該承受嘅咒詛，使我哋可以因信稱義，重新與神和好。

親愛嘅天父，
多謝祢藉住申命記21章教導我哋，祢係一位公義、聖潔而又滿有憐憫嘅神。祢看重生命，亦看重真理、公平同家庭嘅秩序。

Deuteronomy Chapter 21 — Life, Justice, Family, and Discipline
1. Description of the Scripture Content
Deuteronomy chapter 21 touches on several different aspects of life, including unidentified murder, captives in war, firstbornship, rebellious sons, and those who were hung on the wood. On the surface, each passage seems independent, but behind it lies a shared message: God values life, justice, family order, and respect for God’s law
First, if someone is killed but the culprit cannot be found, God still requires the people to handle the matter and not treat it as if nothing happened. Elders must cleanse the land according to God’s method, showing that innocent blood must not be ignored. This reminds us that God cares about every life; even if people do not know the truth, God still knows.
Next, this chapter discusses women captured during the war and the inheritance that the firstborn deserves in the family. God requires that people not arbitrarily change the rights the firstborn should have because of favoritism. This reminds us: people are easily influenced by emotions, but God requires us to act justly and justly
Next, the passage speaks of a son who rebels against his parents and refuses to change despite repeated advice. This passage is the law of Old Testament Israelite society and should not be directly applied today in connection with the covenant social context of that time. Its core message is: both family and society need to fear God, respect authority, and take sin seriously

Deuteronomy 21:17
“The son born to his beloved wife…… He will be recognized as the firstborn.”
God requires that even if a father favors a particular wife, he must not deprive the firstborn of the rights that should be due to personal feelings.
This reminds us:
God delights in fairness, not favoritism.
Whether it’s family, church, or relationships, we all need to ask God to help us not judge people based on personal preferences.
Deuteronomy 21:22-23
“If those who are put to death are hung on a tree…… For those who are hung are cursed before God.”
This passage is very important for Christians.
Paul explains in Galatians 3:13 that Christ has become a curse for us, because it is written: “Cursed is every piece hung on a tree.”
Jesus was originally without sin, yet He bore the penalty for our sins.
Therefore, the cross is not just a sign of suffering, but also a sign of God’s love for us, Christ’s replacement for us, and the fulfillment of salvation.
3. Today’s reminder to us
First, God values life.
People may not see everything, but God knows the harm every life endures
Second, God requires us to be fair.
Don’t be biased because you like someone, nor be treated unfairly just because you don’t like someone
Third, sin must not be taken lightly.
True peace is not pretending the problem does not exist, but bringing sin before God to receive His forgiveness and renewal
Fourth, the cross reveals God’s grace.
Deuteronomy 21 concludes with our gaze to Christ. He personally bears the curse we were meant to bear, enabling us to be justified by faith and reconciled with God
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for teaching us through Deuteronomy 21 that You are a righteous, holy, and merciful God. You value life, but also truth, fairness, and family order.
Lord, please shine Your light upon our hearts, so that we do not take sin lightly or make excuses for our own transgressions. When we have mistakes, weaknesses, or offenses, please grant us humble hearts willing to confess, repent, and return to You again.
Please help us learn fairness in family and relationships, without bias, and not to hurt others based on personal preferences. Grant us wisdom to know how to treat those around us with love, truth, and gentleness.
Please calm our restless and chaotic hearts, removing fear, bitterness, and burdens from within. Let us look to Christ every day and stand again by His grace.
Please keep our families, churches, and brothers and sisters safe, so that we may walk in righteousness, mercy, truth, and love.
May the grace of the cross remind us every day: we do not come before God by our own righteousness, but are forgiven by the precious blood of Jesus Christ

申命記第20章——面對爭戰，要記得神與我們同在
一、經文內容描述
申命記20章主要講到以色列人將要進入應許之地，面對敵人和戰爭時，神吩咐祂的百姓應當點樣面對。
首先，神特別提醒以色列人：見到敵人強大、戰車眾多、軍隊比自己龐大時，不要害怕。 因為以色列人所倚靠嘅，唔係自己嘅軍事力量，而係耶和華神。神曾經將佢哋從埃及地領出來，祂今日仍然與佢哋同在。
其次，祭司要向百姓宣告，唔好膽怯、唔好驚惶，因為神會與佢哋一同爭戰。呢個信息非常重要：爭戰未必代表神離開咗我哋，有時正正係喺爭戰當中，我哋更加經歷神嘅同在。
本章亦提到，有啲人因為剛建造房屋、栽種葡萄園、訂婚，或者心裡膽怯，可以暫時離開戰場。呢方面讓我哋看見，神知道人嘅實際需要和軟弱，祂並唔係唔理會人嘅感受。
最後，神吩咐以色列人在戰爭中仍然要按照祂嘅吩咐行事。即使面對敵人，都唔可以任意而行。這提醒我哋：即使身處困難、衝突和壓力當中，仍然要守住神嘅真理。

這裡最寶貴嘅唔單止係「不要怕」，而係**「耶和華你們的神同你們同去」**。
神並唔係叫我哋自己去面對爭戰，然後喺遠處觀看；祂應許與祂嘅百姓一同前行。
所以今日當我哋面對家庭、工作、生活、前途，甚至屬靈生命嘅爭戰時，可以記住：
我唔係一個人。神與我同在。
申命記20:4——本章核心信息
可以將呢節經文濃縮成一句：
「唔好只望住你面前嘅敵人，要記得你身邊有神。」
環境可能令我哋害怕，但神嘅同在可以賜我哋力量；道路可能充滿未知，但神仍然掌管前路。
三、給今日基督徒的提醒
我們今日唔係按照舊約以色列人嘅方式去進行屬世戰爭，但申命記20章嘅屬靈原則仍然非常重要。
第一，面對困難，不要讓恐懼成為主人。
恐懼會放大問題，使我哋忘記神；信心則叫我哋重新仰望神。
第二，不要單靠自己。
我哋能力有限，但神無限。真正嘅力量唔係來自我哋有幾叻，而係來自神嘅同在。
第三，在爭戰中仍然遵行神嘅話。

第四，將恐懼交畀神。
有時我哋最大嘅敵人未必係外在環境，而係內心嘅恐懼、焦慮同混亂。神願意成為我哋嘅避難所。

多謝祢藉住申命記20章提醒我哋，人生雖然會有好多爭戰，但我哋唔需要獨自面對，因為祢應許與我哋同在。
主啊，我哋承認好多時一遇到困難，就只係望住眼前嘅問題。當問題太大、環境太複雜，我哋嘅心就開始恐懼、煩躁同紛亂。
求祢赦免我哋缺乏信心。
求祢幫助我哋將眼目由問題轉向祢，由恐懼轉向信靠，由憂慮轉向禱告。
主啊，當我哋見到自己好似冇能力面對眼前嘅事情，求祢提醒我哋：
「不要怕他們，因為耶和華你神與你同在。」
求祢平靜我哋煩躁紛亂嘅心，將從祢而來嘅平安放喺我哋裡面。當我哋不知道前面嘅道路點行，求祢一步一步帶領；當我哋軟弱嘅時候，求祢成為我哋嘅力量；當我哋害怕嘅時候，求祢成為我哋嘅保障。
主啊，求祢保守我哋唔好因為困難而失去信心，也唔好因為壓力而離開祢嘅道路。無論面對任何爭戰，都叫我哋記住，真正嘅得勝唔係靠自己，而係靠祢。
求祢帶領我哋嘅家庭、教會和每一位弟兄姊妹，使我哋喺困難中仍然信靠祢，喺風浪中仍然仰望祢，喺未知嘅明天仍然相信祢嘅信實。
願我哋一生都能夠經歷祢嘅同在，知道無論去到邊度，祢都冇離開我哋。

Deuteronomy Chapter 20 — When facing battle, remember that God is with us
1. Description of the Scripture Content
Deuteronomy 20 mainly speaks of the Israelites entering the Promised Land, where God instructed His people to respond when facing enemies and war.
First, God especially reminded the Israelites: when they see the enemy being strong, their chariots numerous, or their army larger than themselves, do not be afraid. Because what the Israelites relied on was not their own military strength, but the Lord God. God had once brought them out of Egypt, and He is still with them today
Second, the priest must declare to the people not to be timid or fearful, because God will fight alongside them. This message is very important: fighting does not necessarily mean God has left us; sometimes, in the midst of battle, we experience God’s presence even more
This chapter also mentions that some people, having just built houses, planted vineyards, got engaged, or felt nervous, could temporarily leave the battlefield. This shows us that God understands people’s real needs and weaknesses; He does not ignore their feelings.
Finally, God commanded the Israelites to act according to His commands even in war. Even when facing the enemy, one must not act recklessly. This reminds us that even in the midst of difficulties, conflicts, and pressures, we must still hold fast to God’s truth

Deuteronomy 20:1
“Go out and fight against your enemies. If you see horses, chariots, and people larger than you, do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt is with you.”

When we see that our environment is stronger than ourselves, we might wonder, “How can I face it?”
God is not telling us to pretend the problem doesn’t exist, but rather to stop us from forgetting how great God is just because the problem is too big.
Deuteronomy 20:3-4
“Do not be afraid, nor be afraid or tremble, for the Lord your God is with you to fight against your enemies and save you.”
The most precious thing here is not just “Do not be afraid,” but **”The Lord your God goes with you”**.
God does not tell us to face the battle ourselves and then watch from afar; He promises to move forward with His people.
So today, when we face battles involving family, work, life, future, and even spiritual existence, we can remember:
I am not alone. God is with me.
Deuteronomy 20:4—the core message of this chapter
This verse can be condensed into one sentence:
“Don’t just look at the enemy in front of you, remember that you have God by your side. 」
The environment may frighten us, but God’s presence can give us strength; The road may be full of unknowns, but God still holds the road ahead.
3. Reminders for Christians Today
Today, we are not conducting worldly wars in the way of the Old Testament Israelites, but the spiritual principles in Deuteronomy 20 remain very important.
First, when facing difficulties, don’t let fear become your master.
Fear magnifies problems and makes us forget God; Faith makes us look to God again
Second, don’t rely on yourself alone.
Our abilities are limited, but God is infinite. True strength does not come from how skilled we are, but from God’s presence
Third, still obey God’s word even in battle. Do not handle things in
the wrong way because of injury, anger, or stress. Even when circumstances are difficult, hold fast to the truth
Fourth, surrender your fear to God.
Sometimes our greatest enemy may not be the external environment, but our inner fear, anxiety, and confusion. God is willing to be our refuge
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You, through Deuteronomy 20, for reminding us that although life will have many battles, we do not need to face them alone, because You promise to be with us.
Lord, we admit that many times, when we encounter difficulties, we just focus on the problem in front of us. When the problem is too big and the environment too complicated, our hearts begin to feel fear, irritation, and confusion.
Please forgive our lack of faith.
Please help us shift our focus from problems to You, from fear to trust, from worry to prayer.
Lord, when we see ourselves seemingly unable to face the things before us, please remind us:
“Do not be afraid of them, for the Lord your God is with you.”
Calm our restless and chaotic hearts, and place the peace that comes from You within us. When we do not know which path lies ahead, please lead us step by step; When we are weak, be our strength; When we are afraid, be our protection.
Lord, please keep us from losing faith because of difficulties, nor from turning away from Your path because of pressure. No matter what battle we face, remind us that true victory is not by ourselves, but by You
Please lead our families, churches, and every brother and sister so that we may still trust You in hardship, look to You in the storms, and believe in Your faithfulness in the unknown tomorrow.
May we all experience Your presence throughout our lives, knowing that wherever we go, You have never left us.

Deuteronomy chapter 19 mainly discusses the law concerning justice and protection of the innocent after the Israelites entered Canaan, divided into three main points:
- The Establishment of the City of Refuge (verses 1–13)
Jehovah commanded the establishment of three cities of refuge in the promised land (and more could be added later), so that those who kill “unintentionally” can flee to seek refuge and avoid being hunted by those who avenge their blood enemies.
If someone kills intentionally out of hatred or premeditation, they must not be allowed to hide in the city of refuge; they must be handed over to the avenger to be executed to remove sin from Israel.
The key point is: distinguish between “accidental killing” and “murder,” protect the innocent, and not tolerate the wicked - Immovable boundaries (verse 14) The

真正的敬拜，是承認神是我們生命的主。
二、面對困難的事情，要尋求智慧而不是單憑自己判斷

這是一個重要原則：遇到複雜的事情，不要驕傲地認為自己什麼都知道。

Fear God and act according to His word
Deuteronomy chapter 17 mainly discusses worship, judgment, and the principles that Israel should follow when establishing a king in the future. This chapter shows us that God not only cares about whether we “believe in Him” but also about how we live, how we decide, and how we exercise authority.
1. Worshiping God must be single-minded
Verse 3 reminds the Israelites not to serve other gods or worship the sun, moon, and stars. People at that time were easily influenced by the idol worship of neighboring peoples.
Today, we may not be bowing to idols, but we can still let other things replace God’s place, such as money, success, status, our own abilities, or even our own will.
So we need to ask ourselves: What in my life is truly the most trustworthy for me?
True worship is acknowledging that God is the Lord of our lives.
2. When facing difficult matters, seek wisdom rather than relying solely on your own judgment
Verses 8 to 13 mention that if there is a difficult case, one must seek judgment before the priest and the person in charge of judgment.
Here’s an important principle: when facing complicated situations, don’t arrogantly think you know everything
Today, we also face challenges in family, relationships, work, and faith. Some things are not simply black-and-white questions, so we need to pray, study the Bible, and also listen to mature Christians.
Seeking help is not about weakness, but humility.
3. The more power a leader has, the more they need to be bound by God’s word
Verses 14 to 20 speak of Israel establishing a king in the future. God does not forbid kings from holding authority, but He specifically reminds them not to rely on their own strength, nor to let wealth, military power, and power become the center of their lives.
Most notably, the king had to copy the Book of the Law for himself and “recite it throughout his life,” so that he would learn to fear God and not be arrogant toward his brothers.
This is a very important spiritual principle:
The greater the power, the more humility is needed; The greater the responsibility, the more one needs God’s word.
Whether it is a national leader, a church leader, or a parent in a family, everyone needs to understand: authority does not make us look down but makes us more responsible to serve others
4. God’s word should become the guide for our lives
The king reads God’s law daily not just to increase his biblical knowledge, but to “learn to fear the Lord his God and to carefully observe all the words and statutes in this book of the law.”
This reminds us that the purpose of reading the Bible is not just to know more, but to let God’s Word change us.
The Bible is not just for us to study, but also for us to follow.
When we draw near to God daily and reflect on His word, we are less likely to be led by pride, temptation, and our own selfish desires.
Therefore, Deuteronomy chapter 17 gives us three important reminders:
Worship must be single, judgment must be humble, and authority must be bound by God’s word.
May God sit on the throne of life, no matter where we stand.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 17 that You are the only God we should worship and trust.
Lord, please guard our hearts and not let anyone or anything replace Your place in our lives. When we pursue money, success, status, or our own plans, please remind us that true security and hope are in You.
When we face complex and difficult situations, please grant us wisdom and humility. Do not let us judge only by our own ideas, nor reject others’ advice out of pride. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead us so that we may learn to seek Your heart.
Lord, especially pray for all those in authority. Whether leaders of nations, churches, or families, please make them fear You, serve with righteousness and integrity, humility, and not abuse their authority.
Please also help us to read Your word every day, reflect on Your word, and follow Your word. Let the Bible be not just a book in our hands, but a guide for our lives.
When we succeed, keep us from pride; When we have authority, keep us from being arrogant; When we face choices, let us seek You first.
May we fear You throughout our lives, follow You faithfully, and use the power You have given us to serve and bless others.

This chapter still offers profound inspiration to believers today.
The three major festivals — commemorating God’s salvation
The beginning of this chapter records three important festivals that the Israelites observe each year:
- Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread (verses 1-8) — The people observe the Passover in the month of Abi, remembering that God brought them out of slavery in Egypt. During the seven days of Unleavened Bread, unleavened bread is eaten, symbolizing the removal of sin and old leaven from life. This reminds us that after receiving grace and salvation, we should live a holy and sanctified life
- Festival of Weeks (Pentecost) (verses 9-12) — Starting from the Sabbath when the firstfruits are offered, the festival is observed after seven Sabbaths. The people are to bring a willing offering before God and rejoice with servants, maidservants, Levites, foreigners, orphans and widows. This shows that worship is not an individual affair, but a celebration of the community; God’s grace is to be shared with those in need
- Feast of Tabernacles (verses 13-17) — After gathering local produce in autumn, the festival is observed for seven days, living in tents to remember God’s provision for the Israelites while they were drifting in the wilderness. Each person should offer gifts according to the blessings they received, “Do not go to the Lord empty-handed” (verse 16b). This teaches us that gratitude is not a formal offering, but a joyful response according to the grace God has given
Fair judgment — the living testimony that God values
Chapter 18 (actually chapter 16:18-20) turns to a different topic: the appointment of judges. Moses commanded the people to appoint judges and officials in every city, so that they “shall not pervert the upright, shall not judge by appearance, nor accept bribes” (verse 19). This passage tells us that worship and righteousness are inseparable. A true worshiper of God must also be someone who acts justly and loves mercy in daily life. If we praise God in worship but oppress others in business or act unfairly in relationships, then our worship loses its meaning
The principle of pilgrimage — three times a year
Verse 16 summarizes the core principle of the festival: “All your male sons shall appear before the Lord your God at the place he has chosen three times a year, on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks, and the Feast of Tabernacles, but not empty-handed.” This command teaches the Israelites that worship requires a price, requires distinguishing time, and requires focusing on coming before God. Although believers today no longer go to Jerusalem to observe the festival, they still need to deliberately schedule time to come before God, not empty-handed, but with a heart of gratitude and offering.
Summary
Deuteronomy chapter 16 tells us a comprehensive picture of faith life: remember God’s salvation, worship Him with joy, treat others with righteousness, and repay His grace with gratitude. May our faith today be not just Sunday activities, but also true worship and testimony in our daily lives
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, we are filled with gratitude and praise to You.
You are our God who saves us, just as You once led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt, and through the cross of Jesus Christ, You redeemed us from sin and death. Lord, please help us remember Your grace and not forget all Your deeds in our lives.
Teach us to live holy lives, removing every leaven from our hearts—pride, greed, jealousy, and everything that does not please you. Let our lives be as pure as unleavened bread, acceptable before you.
Lord, you command the Israelites to celebrate with servants, maids, Levites, foreigners, orphans, widows, and widows during their festivals. Open our eyes so that we may see those in need around us and share Your grace and love with them. Do not let our worship remain only for personal enjoyment, but rather flow out and become blessings for others.
Heavenly Father, you also command the people to appoint judges who must not be upright or accept bribes. Grant us a righteous heart in our lives, so that we may be honest and upright in our words, actions, business, and relationships, becoming witnesses of your righteousness.
Help us not to come before You empty-handed. Let us come before You every time we come with a sacrifice of thanksgiving, a sacrifice of praise, and a heart of complete dedication. May our lives be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You.

申命記第十五章：敞開你的手，成為祝福
申命記第十五章是一章充滿憐憫和恩典的信息。神透過摩西教導以色列人，要如何對待貧窮的人、欠債的人和自己的僕人。這一章讓我們看見，神所關心的不只是人的敬拜，也非常重視我們如何對待身邊有需要的人。
其中一個重要的制度，就是「豁免年」。每逢七年，欠債的人可以得到豁免。這不是單純一項經濟制度，而是神要教導祂的百姓：不要讓金錢成為我們的主人，也不要因為別人的困境而失去憐憫。
神甚至提醒百姓：「你要謹慎，不可心裡起惡念。」因為當第七年快到時，債主可能會想：「如果我現在借錢給他，他很快就不用還了，那我豈不是損失？」
這正是人性的掙扎。
我們有時候願意幫助別人，但當我們想到「我會不會吃虧？」、「他會不會利用我？」、「我付出了會不會沒有回報？」我們的心就開始關閉。
但是神說：「總要向他鬆開手。」
這句話非常值得我們思想。
神希望祂的百姓是一群願意敞開手的人。
當然，敞開手並不代表我們不需要智慧，也不是說任何人提出要求，我們都必須毫無分辨地答應。但它提醒我們，不要讓自私、貪婪和害怕損失，使我們失去憐憫人的心。
神也說：「原來那地上的窮人永不斷絕。」因此，祂吩咐百姓要向弟兄鬆開手，慷慨幫助有需要的人。
今天我們仍然可以在生活中實踐這個原則。
我們可以幫助有需要的弟兄姊妹，可以關心孤單的人，可以為有困難的人禱告，也可以用自己的時間、能力和資源成為別人的祝福。
申命記十五章另一個重要的信息，是關於希伯來僕人的釋放。
僕人服事六年，第七年就可以自由離開。而且主人離開僕人的時候，不可以空手叫他走，要從羊群、禾場和酒醡中豐豐富富地給他。
這裡再次讓我們看見神的心：神不希望祂的百姓利用別人的困境，而是要以尊嚴和恩慈對待人。
為什麼？
因為以色列人自己也曾經在埃及作奴僕。他們曾經經歷被欺壓、沒有自由的生活。神救贖了他們，所以他們也應該記得自己的過去，用憐憫對待別人。
這對基督徒是一個很重要的提醒。
我們今天能夠站立，不是因為我們比別人好，而是因為我們也曾經是需要神憐憫的人。
我們蒙了主耶穌的赦免，就應該學習赦免別人；我們領受了神的恩典，就應該把恩典分享出去。
申命記十五章最後也提醒以色列人，要把頭生的牲畜獻給神。這再次提醒我們：一切最好的，都應該首先歸給神。
因此，本章可以濃縮成三個信息：
第一，神要我們有憐憫的心。
不要只看自己的需要，也要看見別人的需要。
第二，神要我們成為慷慨的人。
不要讓金錢和害怕損失控制我們，要相信神是我們真正的供應者。
第三，神要我們記得自己也是蒙恩的人。
我們今天所有的，不是完全靠自己的能力得來，而是神的恩典。

求主使我們的手不緊閉，心不冷淡，眼睛看見有需要的人；更讓我們相信，當我們忠心跟隨神時，我們真正的供應者永遠是神。

親愛的天父，
感謝祢藉著申命記第十五章教導我們，要有憐憫的心，要慷慨施予，也要記得祢是我們生命真正的供應者。
主啊，我們承認自己的心有時候很容易變得自私。我們看見別人的需要，卻首先想到自己的損失；我們害怕自己不夠，所以不敢敞開自己的手。
求祢赦免我們。

Deuteronomy chapter 15: Open your hands and become a blessing
Deuteronomy chapter 15 is a message full of mercy and grace. Through Moses, God taught the Israelites how to treat the poor, those in debt, and His servants. This chapter shows us that God cares not only about human worship but also places great importance on how we treat those around us in need.
One important system is the “Year of Forgiveness.” Every seven years, debtors can be forgiven. This is not just an economic system, but a teaching from God to His people: do not let money be our master, and do not lose mercy because of others’ difficulties
God even reminded the people, “Be careful not to harbor evil thoughts in your heart.” Because as the seventh year approaches, creditors may think, “If I lend him money now, he won’t have to repay soon, wouldn’t I be at a loss?”
This is precisely the struggle of human nature.
Sometimes we’re willing to help others, but when we think, “Will I suffer a loss?” “Will he use me?” “Will my efforts go unrewarded?” Our hearts start to close off.
But God says, “Let go of Him.”
This statement is very worth pondering.
God wants His people to be a group willing to open their hands.
Of course, opening our hands does not mean we do not need wisdom, nor does it mean we must agree without discernment to anyone’s request. But it reminds us not to let selfishness, greed, and fear of loss cause us to lose our compassionate hearts.
God also said, “For the poor on the earth will never cease to exist.” Therefore, He commanded the people to let go of their hands to their brothers and generously help those in need.
Today, we can still practice this principle in our lives.
We can help brothers and sisters in need, care for those who are lonely, pray for those in need, and use our time, ability, and resources to be a blessing to others.
Another important message in Deuteronomy 15 concerns the release of Hebrew servants.
A servant serves for six years, and in the seventh year he can leave freely. And when the master leaves the servant, he must not leave empty-handed, but give him plenty from the flock, threshing floor, and wine.
Here we again see God’s heart: God does not want His people to take advantage of others’ difficulties, but rather to treat people with dignity and kindness
Why?
Because the Israelites themselves had once been slaves in Egypt. They had experienced oppression and a life without freedom. God redeemed them, so they should also remember their past and treat others with compassion.
This serves as an important reminder for Christians.
We are able to stand today not because we are better than others, but because we too were once people who needed God’s mercy.
Since we have received the Lord Jesus’ forgiveness, we should learn to forgive others; We have received God’s grace, so we should share that grace with others.
Deuteronomy chapter 15 also reminds the Israelites to offer their firstborn livestock to God. This reminds us once again: all the best should be given first to God
Therefore, this chapter can be summarized into three messages:
First, God wants us to have a merciful heart.
Don’t just focus on your own needs; also recognize the needs of others.
Second, God wants us to be generous people.
Don’t let money and fear of loss control us; believe that God is our true provider.
Third, God wants us to remember that we are also people who have received grace.
What we have today is not entirely by our own ability, but by God’s grace.
So, when our hearts are restless, confused, or even feel lacking due to life’s pressures, we shouldn’t just focus on ‘What am I still lacking?’ Instead, we can reflect: ‘What has God already given me?’
As we count God’s grace, our hearts gradually shift from worry to gratitude.
May we not only receive God’s blessings, but also become channels for God to bless others.
May the Lord keep our hands tightly shut, our hearts not cold, and our eyes see those in need; And let us believe that when we faithfully follow God, our true providers are always God.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for teaching us through Deuteronomy chapter 15 to have a merciful heart, to give generously, and to remember that You are the true provider of our lives.
Lord, we admit that sometimes our hearts can easily become selfish. We see others’ needs, but first think of our own losses; We fear we are not enough, so we dare not open our hands.
Please forgive us.
Ask the Holy Spirit to change us so that we are no longer bound by greed, fear, and selfishness. Grant us a generous heart so that we know how to share with others and are willing to help those in need.
Lord, please grant us wisdom so that we may be loving and discerning in helping others. Let us not give for others’ praise, but to give sincerely out of love for You and for others.
Lord, remind us that everything we have today comes from You. Money, time, health, work, family, ability, and opportunity are not taken for granted.
Teach us to be faithful stewards, offering the best to You and willing to use the resources You give to be a blessing to others.
When we ourselves have needs, please comfort us as well. When we worry about tomorrow, life, money, or even our hearts are restless and confused, please calm us down and trust that You know our needs.
Let us not only focus on our own shortcomings, but learn to count Your past graces.
Lord, we also pray for those around us who are in need. Please remember the poor, the lonely, the unemployed, those who have lost hope, and those who are going through hardship. Please personally provide for them, and use us to be Your hands and feet, bringing love and help to them.
Thank You, for we too were unworthy people, yet through the Lord Jesus Christ we have received forgiveness and salvation.
Since we have already received Your abundant grace, please help us to share grace with others as well.
Lord, please soften our hearts, open our hands, and let our eyes see the needs of people.
When the world is filled with indifference and selfishness, may our lives be a warm testimony; Let people see in us Christ’s love, mercy, and grace.
Please keep us to quietly rely on You every day, to trust You in lack, to thank You in abundance, and to help others in surplus.

以色列人之所以要過一個與其他民族不同的生活，是因為他們是屬神的子民。今天基督徒也是一樣。我們不是靠自己的行為成為神所愛的人，而是因著神的恩典，在基督裡成為祂的兒女。因此，我們的生活應該反映出我們屬於神的身份。
本章首先談到飲食上的規定，列出潔淨和不潔淨的食物。對今天的基督徒來說，我們不需要把舊約這些飲食條例直接當作得救的條件。新約已經讓我們看見，人的潔淨不單是外在飲食的問題，更重要的是人的內心。
但這些律例背後仍然有一個重要的屬靈原則：神的子民要學習分別為聖。
「分別為聖」並不是說我們要離開世界、不接觸任何人，而是我們雖然生活在世界中，卻不讓世界成為我們生命的主人。
我們每天接觸很多不同的思想、價值觀和誘惑。因此，我們需要問自己：我的思想是否越來越像基督？我的言語是否能夠榮耀神？我的生活選擇是否符合神的心意？
申命記十四章接著談到十一奉獻。百姓要把土產中十分之一分別出來，在神面前吃喝、歡樂，並且學習敬畏耶和華。
這裡讓我們看見，奉獻不只是「給錢」這麼簡單，而是一種承認一切都是從神而來的態度。
當我們奉獻的時候，其實是在向神說：「主啊，我所有的不是完全屬於我，乃是祢所賜給我的。我願意把一部分分別出來，承認祢是我生命的供應者。」
這也幫助我們對抗一個很容易出現的心態，就是以為自己的生活完全靠自己的能力。

本章最後也提到第三年要把十分之一積存在城中，使利未人、寄居的、孤兒和寡婦可以得著供應。
這讓我們看見，真正的敬拜不能只停留在我們與神之間，也應該流向身邊有需要的人。
一個真正愛神的人，也應該學習愛人。
我們可以在教會敬拜神，但如果我們看見有需要的人卻完全沒有憐憫，便需要重新思想自己的信仰。

Deuteronomy Chapter 14: God’s people live lives set apart as holy
At the beginning of Deuteronomy chapter 14, Moses reminds the Israelites: “You are children of the LORD your God.” This statement is very important because it first reminds us not of “what you will do,” but “who you are.”
The reason the Israelites lived a life different from other peoples was because they were God’s people. Today, Christians are the same. We do not become loved by our own actions, but by God’s grace, we become His children in Christ. Therefore, our lives should reflect our identity as belonging to God.
This chapter first discusses dietary regulations, listing clean and unclean foods. For Christians today, we do not need to treat these dietary regulations from the Old Testament as conditions for salvation. The New Testament has already shown us that a person’s purity is not just a matter of outward diet, but more importantly, it concerns the heart.
But behind these laws lies an important spiritual principle: God’s people must learn to be set apart
“Set apart as holy” does not mean we must leave the world and avoid contact with anyone, but rather that although we live in the world, we do not let it become the master of our lives.
Every day, we encounter many different thoughts, values, and temptations. Therefore, we need to ask ourselves: Are my thoughts becoming more and more like Christ? Are my words able to glorify God? Are my life choices aligned with God’s will?
Deuteronomy chapter 14 then talks about tithing. The people were to set aside a tithe of their produce, eat and drink before God, rejoice, and learn to fear the Lord.
Here, we see that giving is not just about “giving money,” but an attitude of acknowledging that everything comes from God.
When we give, we are actually saying to God: “Lord, what I have is not entirely mine, but what You have given me. I am willing to set aside a part and acknowledge You as the provider of my life.”
This also helps us resist a tendency to think our lives depend entirely on our own abilities.
While hard work is important, we must still remember that life, health, opportunity, wisdom, and daily provision are all in God’s hands.
The chapter ends with the mention that in the third year, a tithe should be stored up in the city so that Levites, foreigners, orphans, and widows may have provision.
This shows us that true worship cannot remain only between us and God, but should also flow to those around us in need.
A person who truly loves God should also learn to love others.
We can worship God in church, but if we see those in need showing no mercy, we need to reconsider our faith.
Deuteronomy chapter 14 thus reveals three important messages:
First, we are children of God, so we must live a life set apart as holy.
Second, everything we have comes from God, so we should offer with a grateful heart.
Third, since we are blessed by God, we should also be a blessing to others.
Today, when we feel restless, confused, or suffocated by the events of life, we can remind ourselves: ‘I am a person of God.’
My value is not determined by money, nor by others’ praise, and certainly not by today’s environment.
We are children loved by the Heavenly Father.
So, let us quiet our hearts, return to God, and entrust our daily lives to Him. May we be faithful in small things, honest in money, loving in dealing with others, and sanctified in our lives.
Let others see through our lives: we are not of this world; we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 14 that we are Your beloved children. Thank You for not loving us because we are perfect, but because of Your grace and love, allowing us to become Your people.
Lord, please help us understand our own identity. When we are influenced by the voice of the world, when we feel lost because of human judgment, please remind us that our true value lies in You.
Please help us to live a life set apart as holy. Guard our thoughts, words, and actions, so that we may seek Your will in our daily lives.
Lord, we also thank You for Your daily provision. No matter how much we have, please help us learn to be thankful and not see everything as our own achievement. Teach us to faithfully manage the money, time, ability, and all resources You have entrusted to us.
Please grant us a generous heart, so that we may not only care for our own needs but also be willing to help those in need. Let the blessings we receive become blessings for others.
Lord, when we feel restless, confused, and uneasy in our hearts, please comfort us personally. Let us lay down the burdens in our hearts, be quiet before You, and trust that You know our needs and will guide us according to Your will.

申命記第十三章是一章比較嚴肅的經文。摩西提醒以色列人，當他們進入應許之地以後，會遇到各種各樣的誘惑和試探，甚至有人可能用神蹟、奇事或非常吸引人的說話，引導他們離開耶和華，去敬拜別的神。
這裡給我們一個很重要的提醒：不是所有看起來超自然、成功或吸引人的事情，都一定是從神而來。
有時候，一個人可能講得非常有道理，甚至有一些令人驚訝的表現，但如果他的教導把我們帶離神、叫我們不再敬拜獨一的真神，我們就必須謹慎分辨。
因此，信仰不能只建立在「我看見了什麼」或「我感覺如何」，而必須建立在神已經啟示的真理上。
申命記十三章特別提醒百姓：「你們要順從耶和華你們的神，敬畏祂，謹守祂的誡命，聽從祂的話，事奉祂，專靠祂。」
這裡有一個非常重要的詞，就是**「專靠」**。
神不是希望我們一半依靠祂，一半依靠世界；不是遇到困難才找祂，平安時就忘記祂。神希望我們全心全意屬於祂。

對今天的基督徒來說，我們不應該把這些刑罰性的律例直接套用在現代社會；但其中的屬靈原則仍然非常重要：我們要認真對付生命中的罪，不要讓罪慢慢扎根。
一個小小的妥協，如果一直容讓，可能最後變成一個很大的問題。
所以，我們每天都需要省察自己：
「有沒有什麼事情正在慢慢取代神的位置？」
「有沒有一些思想，使我越來越不願意親近神？」
「有沒有一些習慣，我知道不討神喜悅，卻一直不願意放下？」
申命記十三章最終不是單單叫我們害怕誘惑，而是呼召我們更加認識神、愛神、信靠神。
當我們越認識神，就越容易分辨錯誤；當我們越愛神，就越不願意離開祂；當我們越依靠神，就越能抵擋試探。
因此，在這個充滿不同聲音的世界裡，讓我們把神的話藏在心裡。
當我們不知道應該相信什麼，就回到聖經；當我們不知道應該走哪一條路，就尋求神；當我們心裡煩躁紛亂時，就安靜在主面前。
不要讓任何人、任何事情、任何環境取代神在我們生命中的位置。
願我們一生都能夠「專靠」耶和華，忠心跟隨主耶穌，直到人生的最後一步。
禱告
親愛的天父，
感謝祢藉著申命記第十三章提醒我們，在這個充滿不同聲音和誘惑的世界裡，要謹慎保守自己的心，單單敬拜祢、跟隨祢、專靠祢。
主啊，我們承認自己是軟弱的人，很容易受到環境、人的說話和世界的價值觀影響。有時候我們聽見一些令人喜歡的話，就忘記了祢的真理；有時候我們為了得到人的認同，而忽略了祢的心意。
求祢赦免我們。
求聖靈賜給我們分辨的能力，使我們能夠分辨什麼是合乎祢真理的，什麼會慢慢把我們帶離祢。

主啊，求祢讓我們真正「專靠」祢。
當我們遇到困難時，讓我們第一時間尋求祢；當我們面對選擇時，讓我們尋求祢的旨意；當我們心裡害怕時，讓我們相信祢仍然掌管一切。
求祢特別安靜我們煩躁、紛亂和不安的心。讓我們暫時放下外面的聲音，回到祢的面前，在祢裡面重新得著平安。
主啊，求祢幫助我們愛祢勝過愛世界，忠於祢勝過尋求人的稱讚。也求祢保守我們的家庭，使我們彼此勉勵，一同親近祢、一同讀祢的話、一同禱告。
願我們每天都把祢放在生命的第一位。
無論世界有多少聲音，求祢讓我們仍然聽見祢的聲音；無論前面的道路有多困難，求祢使我們仍然專心跟隨祢。
願我們一生持守信仰，不偏離祢的道路，單單敬拜獨一的真神。

Deuteronomy Chapter 13: Remaining Faithful to God Amidst Deception
Deuteronomy chapter 13 is a more serious passage. Moses reminded the Israelites that after entering the Promised Land, they would encounter all kinds of temptations and temptations, and some might even use miracles, wonders, or very attractive words to lead them away from Jehovah to worship other gods.
Here’s an important reminder: not everything that seems supernatural, successful, or attractive is necessarily from God
Sometimes, someone may speak very reasonably or even behave surprisingly, but if their teachings lead us away from God and cause us to stop worshiping the one true God, we must discern carefully.
Therefore, faith cannot be built solely on “what I saw” or “how I feel,” but must be founded on the truth God has already revealed.
Deuteronomy chapter 13 especially reminds the people: “Obey the Lord your God, fear Him, keep His commandments, listen to His word, serve Him, and rely on Him alone.”
Here, there is a very important word: **’exclusive support’.
God does not want us to rely half on Him and half on the world; Nor does He seek Him only when we encounter difficulties and forget Him in peacetime. God wants us to belong to Him with all our hearts.
Today, we face many different voices as well. The world tells us that money can bring security; success can bring value; human identity can bring satisfaction; and one’s own abilities can solve all problems.
But the Bible reminds us that none of these things can replace God.
True security does not come from the environment, but from God; True value does not come from others’ praise, but from knowing that we are God’s beloved children in Christ.
This chapter also mentions that even those close to us, even family and friends, must be very cautious if tempted to leave God. This does not mean we lack love, but rather reminds us that no one can replace God as the first place in our lives
We love our families and friends, but first and foremost, we must be faithful to God.
On the other hand, Deuteronomy chapter 13 also shows us the seriousness of sin. If the Israelites allowed idol worship to spread within their community, eventually the entire nation might turn away from God. Therefore, God required them to remove idols and preserve the purity of faith for the whole community.
For Christians today, we should not directly apply these penal laws to modern society; But the spiritual principle remains very important: we must seriously deal with sin in our lives and not let it take root
A small compromise, if kept yielding, could eventually become a major problem.
So, we need to reflect on ourselves every day:
“Is there something slowly replacing God’s place?”
“Are there any thoughts that make me increasingly unwilling to draw near to God?”
“Are there habits I know don’t please God, but I just can’t let go?”
Deuteronomy chapter 13 ultimately does not simply tell us to fear temptation, but calls us to know God, love God, and trust Him even more.
The more we know God, the easier it is to discern errors; The more we love God, the less willing we are to leave Him; The more we rely on God, the more we can resist temptation.
Therefore, in this world full of different voices, let us keep God’s word hidden in our hearts.
When we don’t know what to believe, we return to the Bible; When we don’t know which path to take, we seek God; When our hearts are troubled and confused, we are quiet before the Lord.
Do not let anyone, anything, or any environment replace God’s place in our lives.
May we all our lives be able to “rely exclusively” on Jehovah, faithfully following the Lord Jesus until the very last step of our lives.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 13 that in this world full of different voices and temptations, we must carefully guard our hearts, worship You, follow You, and rely solely on You.
Lord, we admit we are weak and easily influenced by our environment, people’s words, and the values of the world. Sometimes we hear pleasant words and forget Your truth; Sometimes we overlook Your heart in order to gain people’s approval.
Please forgive us.
Ask the Holy Spirit to grant us the ability to discern, so that we can discern what is in accordance with Your truth and what will slowly lead us away from You.
Lord, please guard our hearts and not let any idol enter our lives. If money becomes our reliance, remind us; If work, fame, or recognition replace You, please awaken us; If our own will becomes the center of our lives, please help us humble ourselves.
Lord, please let us truly “rely on You.”
When we face difficulties, let us seek You first; When we face choices, let us seek Your will; When we are afraid in our hearts, let us believe that You still have everything.
Please especially quiet our restless, confused, and uneasy hearts. Let us temporarily set aside the sounds outside, return to You, and find peace again in You.
Lord, please help us love You more than we love the world, be faithful to You more than seek praise from others. Also, please protect our families, so that we may encourage one another, draw near to You, read Your word together, and pray together.
May we put You first in our lives every day.
No matter how many voices there are in the world, please let us still hear Your voice; No matter how difficult the road ahead, please help us continue to follow You wholeheartedly.
May we hold fast to faith throughout our lives, never stray from Your path, and worship the one true God alone.

申命記第十二章其中一個很重要的信息，就是神要求祂的百姓單單敬拜祂，並且按照祂所吩咐的方式來敬拜祂。
當以色列人進入迦南地之後，他們會接觸到許多不同的宗教和偶像。摩西因此吩咐他們，要拆毀那些敬拜偶像的祭壇、柱像和各種異教的敬拜方式，不可以把周圍民族的宗教習俗帶進對神的敬拜當中。
這對今天的基督徒也是一個很重要的提醒：我們不能一面敬拜神，一面讓世界成為我們生命真正的主人。
今天我們未必會跪拜偶像，但「偶像」不一定是木頭或石頭。金錢、事業、名聲、權力、享受，甚至自己的意見，都可能慢慢成為我們心中的偶像。
因此，我們需要經常問自己：
「在我的生命裡，究竟誰坐在第一位？」
申命記第十二章也特別強調敬拜的地方。神要以色列人按照祂的吩咐，到祂所選擇的地方敬拜、獻祭，並且在神面前歡喜快樂。
這讓我們看見，敬拜神不只是履行一項宗教責任。敬拜應該是一種與神建立關係的生命。
有時候我們來到教會，只是因為習慣；有時候唱詩、禱告、聽道，心卻仍然被很多事情佔據。申命記提醒我們，敬拜的中心不是人的感覺，而是神自己。
我們來到神面前，是因為祂配得我們敬拜。
另一方面，本章也多次提到「歡喜」。神並不是要祂的百姓帶著沉重、恐懼的心來到祂面前。當我們知道自己是屬於神、知道祂供應我們、保守我們，就應該帶著感恩的心在祂面前歡喜。
真正的敬拜可以有眼淚，也可以有喜樂；可以有安靜，也可以有讚美，但最重要的是我們的心真正歸向神。
申命記第十二章也提醒百姓要謹慎，不可以任意照自己的意思敬拜神。這是一個很重要的屬靈原則：神不只是看我們有沒有敬拜，也看我們是否願意按照祂的話來敬拜。
今天我們也需要在生活中學習這一點。不是「我覺得怎樣好就怎樣做」，而是先問：「神的話怎樣教導我？」
當我們作人生決定、處理家庭關係、面對金錢、工作和人際關係時，都可以學習尋求神的心意。
申命記第十二章最後也提醒我們，不要隨從人的風俗而偏離神。這對今天生活在複雜世界中的基督徒尤其重要。我們可以生活在世界中，卻不要讓世界成為我們價值觀的主人。
所以，申命記第十二章給我們一個很清楚的信息：
拆毀心中的偶像，單單敬拜神；放下自己的意思，尋求神的旨意；不要被世界牽引，而要讓神的話成為我們生命的方向。
當我們的心煩躁、紛亂、不安時，最需要做的不是讓自己更加忙碌，而是重新回到神面前。
安靜我們的心，放下外面的聲音，重新仰望主耶穌。
因為真正的平安，不是環境完全沒有問題，而是在一切問題之中，知道神仍然坐在寶座上，祂仍然掌管我們的生命。
願我們每天都學習把神放在第一位，讓敬拜不只發生在教會，也發生在我們每天的生活裡。

Deuteronomy chapter 12: Worship God alone, and act according to His will
One of the most important messages in Deuteronomy chapter 12 is that God requires His people to worship Him alone and to worship Him in the manner He commands.
When the Israelites entered Canaan, they encountered many different religions and idols. Moses therefore commanded them to tear down the idol-worshipping altars, pillars, and various pagan worship practices, and not to bring the religious customs of surrounding peoples into worship of God.
This is also an important reminder for Christians today: we cannot worship God while letting the world be the true master of our lives
Today, we may not kneel to idols, but “idols” are not necessarily wood or stone. Money, career, fame, power, enjoyment, and even our own opinions may gradually become idols in our hearts.
Therefore, we need to constantly ask ourselves:
“Who is truly the first person in my life?”
Deuteronomy chapter 12 also places special emphasis on places of worship. God wanted the Israelites to worship, offer sacrifices, and rejoice before God at the places He had chosen, following His commands.
This shows us that worshiping God is not just about fulfilling a religious responsibility. Worship should be a life that establishes a relationship with God.
Sometimes we come to church simply out of habit; Sometimes we sing hymns, pray, listen to sermons, yet our hearts are still occupied by many things. Deuteronomy reminds us that the center of worship is not human feelings, but God Himself.
We come before God because He deserves our worship.
On the other hand, this chapter also mentions “joy” many times. God does not want His people to come before Him with heavy hearts and fear. When we know we belong to God, know that He provides for us and protects us, we should rejoice before Him with a grateful heart.
True worship can have tears or joy; It can be quiet or praise, but most importantly, our hearts truly turn to God.
Deuteronomy chapter 12 also reminds the people to be careful not to worship God according to their own will. This is a very important spiritual principle: God not only looks at whether we worship, but also on whether we are willing to worship according to His word
Today, we also need to learn this in our daily lives. It’s not about “doing whatever I think is good,” but first asking: “How does God’s word teach me?”
When we make life decisions, handle family relationships, face money, work, and interpersonal relationships, we can all learn to seek God’s will.
Deuteronomy chapter 12 concludes with a reminder not to follow human customs and stray from God. This is especially important for Christians living in a complex world today. We can live in the world, but we must not let it become the master of our values.
Therefore, Deuteronomy chapter 12 gives us a very clear message:
Tear down the idols in your heart and worship God alone; Let go of your own will and seek God’s will; Do not be led by the world, but let God’s word become the direction of our lives.
When our hearts are troubled, confused, and uneasy, what we need most is not to make ourselves busier, but to return to God.
Quiet our hearts, let go of the sounds outside, and look to the Lord Jesus again.
Because true peace is not about the environment being completely without problems, but about knowing that God still sits on the throne amid all problems, and that He still rules over our lives.
May we learn every day to put God first, so that worship happens not only in the church but also in our daily lives.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 12 to worship You alone and live according to Your will.
Lord, we admit that our hearts are easily drawn to the world. Sometimes we put money, work, family, fame, enjoyment, and even our own will before You. Please forgive us, ask the Holy Spirit to shine upon us, so that we may see anything in life that replaces Your place.
Lord, please help us to tear down the idols in our hearts. Let us no longer be swayed by the values of the world, nor let our voices be louder than yours.
Grant us a single-minded heart, so that we may love You, worship You, and follow You. When we make any decision, we should not just ask ourselves if we like You, but be willing to seek Your will.
Lord, when we come to church to worship, please prepare our hearts so that we come before You not only in outward worship, but in truth. Let our singing, prayer, offerings, and listening all become sincere worship of You.
Please also help us bring worship into our daily lives. Whether in our families, work, church, or society, let people see Christ in our lives.

愛神、記念神，並將祂的話活出來
申命記第11章是摩西對以色列人的勸勉。以色列人即將進入應許之地，摩西提醒他們：不要忘記神過去的帶領，也不要只把神的話停留在頭腦裡，而要讓神的話進入家庭和每天的生活。
一、愛神就要遵守祂的命令
第1節說：「你要愛耶和華你的神，常守他的吩咐、律例、典章、誡命。」
這裡把「愛神」與「遵守神的話」連在一起。真正的愛，不只是口裡說「我愛神」，而是願意按照祂的心意生活。
我們可以問自己：我愛神是否也表現在我的選擇、說話和待人方面？
當我們愛一個人，自然會在意他的心意。同樣，當我們真正愛神，就會渴望明白祂的話，並且願意遵行。
二、要記住神曾經為我們做過的事
摩西提醒以色列人回想神在埃及所行的神蹟，以及祂如何在曠野帶領和管教他們。
人很容易記住困難，卻忘記恩典。
所以我們需要常常回顧神的信實：祂曾經怎樣帶領我們？在我們沒有力量的時候，祂怎樣扶持我們？在我們不知道道路的時候，祂怎樣開路？
記念神過去的恩典，可以幫助我們建立面對未來的信心。
三、神的祝福不只是物質，更是與祂同行
神應許以色列人進入一個「流奶與蜜之地」。但摩西清楚指出，那地與埃及不同，是需要仰望神、依靠神的地方。
這提醒我們，真正的祝福不只是擁有更多物質，而是在神所賜的環境中仍然與神同行。
如果有很多財富，卻失去了神，並不是真正的豐盛；如果生活並不完美，卻仍然有神的同在，也可以擁有真正的平安。
四、神的話需要進入家庭
第18至20節特別強調，要把神的話存在心內，又要教導兒女，並且「無論你坐在家裡，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論」。
這給我們一個重要提醒：信仰不應該只是星期日的事情。
神的話應該進入我們的家庭、工作、人際關係和每天的決定。
父母和長輩也有責任把信仰傳給下一代，使下一代不只是知道聖經故事，更知道神是可信靠的。
五、我們每天都在作選擇
申命記11章最後把「祝福」和「咒詛」擺在人面前。這不是說人可以靠自己的行為賺取神的恩典，而是提醒我們：順服神的道路會帶來生命的祝福，而背離神的道路會帶來嚴重的後果。
今天我們也每天作選擇：是依靠自己的意思，還是尋求神的心意？是跟隨世界的價值，還是跟隨神的話？
因此，申命記第11章給我們一個很簡單卻很重要的信息：
愛神、記念神、教導下一代、遵行神的話，並且每天選擇走在神的道路上。

主啊，我們承認自己很容易忘記祢的恩典。當困難來到時，我們容易看見問題，卻忘記祢過去如何帶領我們。求祢幫助我們常常記念祢的信實，數算祢在我們生命中的恩典，使我們面對未來時仍然有信心。
求祢給我們一顆愛祢的心，使我們不只是口裡說愛祢，也願意在每天的生活中遵行祢的話。當我們面對重要的決定時，求聖靈引導我們，使我們選擇祢所喜悅的道路。
主啊，也求祢幫助我們把信仰帶進家庭。讓我們不只是自己讀聖經、禱告，也願意把祢的真理傳給下一代。願我們的家庭成為敬拜祢、學習祢的話、彼此相愛的地方。
當祢賜福我們時，求祢保守我們不要忘記祢；當我們遇到困難時，求祢保守我們不要離開祢。無論在順境或逆境中，都讓我們緊緊跟隨祢。
主啊，求祢幫助我們每天選擇生命、選擇順服、選擇信靠祢。
願祢的話不只是寫在聖經上，更寫在我們的心裡，並且從我們的生命中活出來。

Love God, remember God, and live out His word
Deuteronomy chapter 11 is Moses’ exhortation to the Israelites. As the Israelites were about to enter the Promised Land, Moses reminded them: Do not forget God’s past guidance, nor let God’s word remain in your mind, but let God’s word enter your family and daily life.
1. To love God is to obey His commands
Verse 1 says: “Love the Lord your God, and keep His commandments, statutes, statutes, and commandments.”
Here, “loving God” is linked with “obeying God’s word.” True love is not just saying “I love God,” but being willing to live according to His will.
We can ask ourselves: Is my love for God also reflected in my choices, words, and dealings with others?
When we love someone, we naturally care about their heart. Similarly, when we truly love God, we long to understand His words and are willing to follow them.
2. Remember what God has done for us
Moses reminded the Israelites to recall the miracles God performed in Egypt and how He led and disciplined them in the wilderness.
People easily remember difficulties but forget grace.
So we need to constantly review God’s faithfulness: How did He lead us? How did He support us when we had no strength? How did He open the way when we did not know the way?
Remembering God’s past grace can help us build faith to face the future.
3. God’s blessings are not just material but walk with Him
God promised the Israelites to enter a “land flowing with milk and honey.” But Moses clearly pointed out that this land was different from Egypt; it was a place where one needed to look to and rely on God.
This reminds us that true blessing is not just having more material things, but still walking with God in the environment He has given.
If you have much wealth but lose God, it is not true abundance; If life is not perfect, but you still have God’s presence, you can still have true peace.
4. God’s word needs to enter the family
Verses 18 to 20 especially emphasize that God’s word should be kept in our hearts, and that we should teach our children, and ‘whether you are sitting at home, walking on the road, lying down, or getting up, you must speak of it.’
This gives us an important reminder: faith should not be just a Sunday matter
God’s Word should enter our families, work, relationships, and daily decisions.
Parents and elders also have the responsibility to pass their faith on to the next generation, so that the next generation not only knows the stories of the Bible but also knows that God is trustworthy.
5. We make choices every day
Deuteronomy chapter 11 finally places “blessing” and “curse” before people. This does not mean that people can earn God’s grace through their own actions, but rather reminds us that the path of obeying God brings blessings in life, while turning away from God’s path brings serious consequences
Today, we make choices every day: should we rely on our own will, or seek God’s will? Should we follow the values of the world, or follow God’s word?
Therefore, Deuteronomy chapter 11 gives us a very simple yet important message:
Love God, remember God, teach the next generation, obey God’s word, and choose to walk in God’s path every day.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 11 to love You, fear You, and keep Your word in our hearts.
Lord, we admit that it is easy to forget Your grace. When difficulties come, we tend to see the problems but forget how You have led us in the past. Please help us to always remember Your faithfulness, count Your grace in our lives, so that we may face the future with confidence.
Give us a heart that loves You, so that we may not only say we love You but also be willing to follow Your word in our daily lives. When we face important decisions, ask the Holy Spirit to guide us so that we choose the path that pleases You.
Lord, please help us bring faith into our families. Let us not only read the Bible and pray for ourselves, but also be willing to share Your truth with the next generation. May our families become places to worship You, learn Your word, and love one another.
When You bless us, please keep us from forgetting You; When we face difficulties, please keep us from leaving You. Let us follow You closely, whether in good times or bad.
Lord, please help us to choose life every day, choose obedience, choose to trust in You.
May Your words not only be written in the Bible, but also written in our hearts and lived out from our own lives.

神所要的，是一顆歸向祂的心
申命記第10章記載摩西重新領受兩塊法版。這是在以色列人拜金牛犢、犯罪失敗之後發生的。這一章讓我們看見一個非常寶貴的真理：人的失敗不能叫神的恩典停止，但神的恩典也不是叫我們繼續犯罪，而是帶領我們重新回到祂面前。
一、神願意給人重新開始的機會
以色列人曾經嚴重犯罪，甚至在神與他們立約之後很快就偏離了神。然而，神吩咐摩西重新鑿出兩塊石版，神再次將祂的話寫在上面。

我們需要承認自己的錯誤，回轉到神面前，接受祂的赦免和更新。
二、神真正看重的是我們的心
申命記10:16說：
「所以你們要將心裡的污穢除掉，不可再硬著頸項。」
這裡的重點不是單單外在遵守宗教規條，而是內心真正歸向神。
我們可以參加聚會、讀聖經、唱詩歌、禱告，但如果內心仍然不願意順服神，就容易變成只有外表的信仰。
神所要的不是一個只在外表敬虔的人，而是一顆柔軟、謙卑、願意被神改變的心。
三、敬畏神、愛神，也要服侍人
申命記10:12說：
「以色列啊，現在耶和華你神向你所要的是甚麼呢？只要你敬畏耶和華你的神，遵行他的道，愛他，盡心盡性事奉他。」
這節經文可以說是本章的核心。
神要我們敬畏祂、愛祂、遵行祂的道路，並且全心事奉祂。
而神對人的愛，也應該從我們的生命流露出來。第18節特別提到神「為孤兒寡婦伸冤，又憐愛寄居的」。因此，一個真正愛神的人，也應該關心有需要的人。
愛神與愛人不是兩件分開的事情，而是信仰生命的兩面。
四、不要忘記自己也曾經是寄居的人
摩西提醒以色列人，他們自己曾經在埃及作寄居者。因此，他們應該明白寄居者的需要，並且善待他們。
這提醒我們：當神賜福我們時，不要忘記自己曾經如何需要神的幫助。
蒙恩的人，應該成為施恩的人；被神憐憫的人，也應該學習憐憫別人。
申命記第10章最後提醒我們，要專心依靠神，因為祂是偉大、有能力又信實的神。
所以今天我們可以問自己：
我的信仰只是外在的宗教生活，還是真正從心裡愛神？
願我們每天都把自己的心重新交給神，在失敗中回轉，在恩典中感恩，在生活中遵行神的道路，並且用愛心服侍身邊的人。

親愛的天父，
感謝祢藉著申命記第10章提醒我們，祢是聖潔、公義，也是充滿憐憫和恩典的神。
主啊，我們承認自己常常軟弱，也會犯錯，有時候更會像以色列人一樣忘記祢、離開祢的道路。求祢赦免我們，潔淨我們的心，使我們重新回到祢面前。
主啊，求祢除去我們心裡的剛硬。不要讓我們只有外表的信仰，而是讓我們從心裡敬畏祢、愛祢、渴慕祢的話，並且願意遵行祢的旨意。
當我們失敗時，求祢讓我們懂得悔改，而不是逃避祢；當我們蒙福時，求祢讓我們記得一切恩典都是從祢而來。
求祢給我們一顆憐憫人的心，使我們看見有需要的人時，不只是同情，而是願意伸出手去幫助。讓我們成為祢恩典的管道，把從祢領受的愛帶給家人、朋友和身邊的人。
主啊，願我們一生敬畏祢、愛祢、服侍祢。無論環境順利或困難，都讓我們緊緊跟隨祢。
求祢使我們不只是知道祢的話，更讓祢的話真正改變我們的心。

What God desires is a heart that turns to Him
Deuteronomy chapter 10 records Moses receiving two tablets of the law again. This happened after the Israelites worshipped the golden calf and failed in their sins. This chapter shows us a very precious truth: human failure cannot stop God’s grace, but God’s grace does not mean we continue sinning, but leads us back to Him
1. God is willing to give people a chance to start anew
The Israelites had committed serious sins and quickly strayed from Him after making a covenant with them. However, God commanded Moses to carve two stone tablets again, and God once again wrote His words on them.
This shows us God’s mercy. When we fail, stumble, or even drift away from God, we should not think, “I have no hope left.”
God’s discipline is real, but God’s mercy is also real.
We need to admit our mistakes, turn back to God, and accept His forgiveness and renewal.
2. What God truly values is our hearts
Deuteronomy 10:16 says:
“Therefore, you must remove the filth in your hearts and no longer stubbornly hold on.”
The focus here is not merely on outwardly observing religious rules, but truly turning to God within.
We can attend meetings, read the Bible, sing hymns, and pray, but if our hearts still refuse to obey God, it is easy to become a faith that only has outward appearances.
God does not want someone who is godly only on the outside, but a soft, humble heart willing to be transformed by God.
3. Fear and love God, and also serve others
Deuteronomy 10:12 says:
“Israel, what is it that the Lord your God wants from you now? Just fear the Lord your God, walk in His ways, love Him, and serve Him with all your heart and soul.”
This verse can be considered the core of this chapter.
God wants us to fear Him, love Him, walk in His ways, and serve Him wholeheartedly.
And God’s love for people should also flow from our lives. Verse 18 specifically mentions that God “avenges orphans and widows, and has compassion on foreigners.” Therefore, a person who truly loves God should also care for those in need.
Loving God and loving others are not two separate matters, but two sides of faith in life.
4. Don’t forget that you too were once a sojourner
Moses reminded the Israelites that they themselves had once been sojourners in Egypt. Therefore, they should understand the needs of sojourners and treat them kindly.
This reminds us: when God blesses us, we must not forget how we once needed His help.
Those who have received grace should become givers of grace; Those who are mercifully shown by God should also learn to show mercy to others.
Deuteronomy chapter 10 concludes by reminding us to rely on God wholeheartedly, for He is great, powerful, and faithful.
So today we can ask ourselves:
Is my faith merely an external religious life, or does it truly love God from the heart?
May we give our hearts to God every day, turn back from failure, give thanks in grace, follow God’s way in life, and serve those around us with love.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 10 that You are holy, just, and full of mercy and grace.
Lord, we admit that we are often weak, make mistakes, and sometimes forget You and stray from Your ways just like the Israelites. Please forgive us, cleanse our hearts, and bring us back to You.
Lord, please remove the hardness in our hearts. Do not let us have only outward faith, but let us fear You, love You, long for Your word from our hearts, and be willing to do Your will.
When we fail, please help us to repent, not to run from You; When we are blessed, please help us remember that all grace comes from You.
Grant us a merciful heart, so that when we see those in need, we are not just compassion, but willing to reach out and help. Let us be channels of Your grace, bringing the love we receive from You to family, friends, and those around us.
Lord, may we fear You, love You, and serve You all our lives. Whether the circumstances are smooth or difficult, let us follow You closely.
Please help us not only know Your Word, but truly change our hearts.

申命記第九章：不是因自己的義，乃是靠神的恩典
申命記第九章是摩西對以色列人一個非常重要的提醒。以色列人即將進入迦南地，面對比自己強大的民族和堅固的城邑。摩西首先告訴他們，不要以為自己能夠得地，是因為自己比別人公義、比別人好。
神將應許之地賜給他們，並不是因為他們自己的義，而是因為神的信實和祂的應許。
這個信息對我們今天的基督徒非常重要。我們所得到的一切恩典，都不是因為自己配得，而是因為神的憐憫。
以色列人在曠野中曾經多次悖逆神，甚至在何烈山造金牛犢敬拜。摩西回憶這段歷史，是要百姓不要忘記自己的軟弱。他們親眼看見神的大能，卻仍然很快離開神。
這提醒我們，人很容易忘記神。
當神幫助我們渡過困難，我們可能充滿感恩；但過了一段時間，生活恢復平穩，我們又可能依靠自己的能力。當禱告蒙應允，我們知道是神的恩典；但當事情順利，我們卻容易以為是自己聰明、努力和能力所帶來的結果。
所以摩西提醒以色列人：不要把神的恩典變成自己的功勞。
申命記第九章也讓我們看見摩西為百姓代求。他因百姓犯罪而在神面前俯伏四十晝夜，懇求神不要滅絕祂的百姓。這是一幅很美的代求圖畫。
摩西不是只批評百姓，而是站在神與百姓中間為他們祈求。這也讓我們想到主耶穌基督。今天我們即使軟弱、跌倒、犯罪，也可以來到神面前悔改，因為基督是我們的中保。
這並不是說罪不重要。相反，申命記第九章非常嚴肅地告訴我們，悖逆神會帶來後果。但神的憐憫又遠遠超過人的失敗。祂願意赦免真正悔改的人，也願意重新帶領我們。

同樣地，當我們看見別人的軟弱時，也不要驕傲地論斷。因為我們自己也是蒙恩的人。我們可以像摩西一樣，為弟兄姊妹禱告，求神憐憫、醫治和挽回。
願申命記第九章提醒我們：不是因為我們有多好，神才愛我們；乃是因為神本來就是信實、慈愛、憐憫的神。
所以，讓我們存謙卑的心領受恩典，也用憐憫的心對待別人，天天倚靠主耶穌基督走前面的道路。

親愛的天父，
感謝祢藉著申命記第九章提醒我們，我們今天能夠站立，不是因為自己的義，也不是因為自己的能力，而是完全靠著祢的恩典和憐憫。

Deuteronomy chapter 9: Not by his own righteousness, but by the grace of God
Deuteronomy chapter 9 is a very important reminder from Moses to the Israelites. The Israelites were about to enter Canaan, facing nations stronger than themselves and fortified cities. Moses first told them not to think that they could gain the land because they were righteous and better than others.
God gave them the promised land not because of their own righteousness, but because of God’s faithfulness and His promises.
This message is very important for us Christians today. All the grace we receive is not because we deserve it, but because of God’s mercy.
The Israelites rebelled against God many times in the wilderness, even worshipping golden calves on Mount Horeb. Moses recalled this period of history to urge the people not to forget their own weaknesses. They saw God’s mighty power with their own eyes, yet they still quickly left Him.
This reminds us that it is easy for people to forget God.
When God helps us through difficulties, we may be filled with gratitude; But after a while, life returns to stability, and we may once again rely on our own abilities. When prayer is answered, we know it is God’s grace; But when things go well, we tend to think it’s the result of our intelligence, hard work, and ability.
So Moses reminded the Israelites: do not turn God’s grace into your own achievement.
Deuteronomy chapter 9 also shows us Moses interceding for the people. He bowed down before God for forty days and nights because the people had sinned, pleading with Him not to destroy His people. This is a beautiful picture of intercession.
Moses did not only criticize the people, but stood between God and the people, praying for them. This also reminds us of the Lord Jesus Christ. Even if we are weak, stumble, or sin today, we can come before God to repent, because Christ is our mediator.
This is not to say sin is unimportant. In contrast, Deuteronomy chapter 9 tells us very seriously that rebellion against God brings consequences. But God’s mercy far exceeds human failure. He is willing to forgive those who truly repent and is willing to lead us anew.
Therefore, we should not assume that we have no hope just because we have failed; Nor should we assume we are more spiritual than others just because we have achieved some things now.
True faith is to admit: “I do not stand by my own righteousness, but by the grace of God.”
When we feel restless, confused, or even disappointed by our own faults, don’t keep trapped in self-blame. Let us return to God, admit our shortcomings, accept His forgiveness, and stand up again by Him.
Similarly, when we see others’ weaknesses, we should not judge them arrogantly. For we ourselves are also blessed. We can, like Moses, pray for our brothers and sisters, asking God for mercy, healing, and restoration.
May Deuteronomy chapter 9 remind us: God does not love us because we are so good; Because God is originally faithful, loving, and merciful.
Therefore, let us receive grace with humility, treat others with compassion, and rely daily on the path of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 9 that we can stand today not because of our own righteousness or our own strength, but entirely by Your grace and mercy.
Lord, we admit that we are often weak and easily forget You. You have helped us through many difficulties, but sometimes, once life is stable, we begin to rely on ourselves, even taking Your grace as our own ability.
Please forgive our pride, self-righteousness, and ungratefulness. May the Holy Spirit shine upon us, so that we may always remember Your guidance in our lives.
Lord, when we sin, fail, and stumble, please grant us a heart that truly repents. Do not let us distance ourselves from You because of our own transgressions, nor let us fall into despair and self-blame. Help us return to You, accept Your forgiveness, and stand up again through the Lord Jesus.
Please also teach us to intercede for others like Moses. When we see our family, friends, and brothers and sisters weak, let us not rush to criticize or judge, but instead pray for them with love, asking for Your mercy, redeeming, and guiding them.
Lord, please especially quiet our troubled, confused, and uneasy hearts. When we feel unworthy and the road ahead is too difficult, remind us that our hope is not built on our own abilities, but on Your faithful grace.
Help us not to be proud or inferior; Don’t rely on yourself, nor give up because of failure. Let us learn to humbly rely on You every day.
Thank You, through the Lord Jesus Christ, for allowing us imperfect people to come before You and receive forgiveness, grace, and peace.
May we remember throughout our lives: not for our own righteousness, but for Your grace; Not by your own strength, but by Your power.
Please lead us to follow the Lord Jesus every day, grow in grace, learn through failure, trust in difficulties, and never forget You in every circumstance.
We pray this way in the precious holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

在豐盛中不要忘記神
申命記第8章是一篇非常重要的提醒。以色列人經過四十年的曠野，即將進入神應許的美地。摩西知道，困難的曠野會考驗人的信心，但豐盛的生活同樣會考驗人的心。
一、曠野是神塑造我們的地方
摩西提醒以色列人，神帶領他們經過曠野，是要「苦煉你，試驗你，要知道你心內如何」。
曠野雖然艱難，卻不是沒有神同在的地方。神在四十年間供應他們嗎哪，使他們的衣服沒有穿破，腳也沒有腫。
這提醒我們：有些困難不是神離開我們的證明，反而可能是神正在塑造我們生命的過程。
當我們經歷困難時，我們可能只問：「神啊，為什麼讓我遇到這件事？」但我們也可以問：「神啊，祢希望我在這個經歷中學習什麼？」
二、真正的生命不只是靠物質
申命記8:3說：
「人活著不是單靠食物，乃是靠耶和華口裡所出的一切話。」
食物可以維持我們的身體，但神的話才能真正引導我們的生命。
今天我們很容易把生活的焦點放在收入、房屋、工作、健康和物質上。這些東西都有它們的重要性，但它們不能成為我們生命最終的依靠。
我們需要的不只是神所賜的東西，更需要神自己。
三、最大的危險可能不是缺乏，而是豐盛
以色列人進入美地之後，會有水泉、五穀、新酒、牛羊和豐富的資源。摩西卻特別提醒他們：
「你要謹慎，免得忘記耶和華你的神。」
這是一個非常深刻的提醒。
在困難中，我們往往很容易禱告：「主啊，求祢幫助我。」但是當神賜下平安、成功和豐盛之後，我們反而可能慢慢減少禱告，忘記神。
所以，困難可以考驗我們的信心，成功可以考驗我們的謙卑。
我們不能只在需要神的時候尋找神，而應該在豐盛和缺乏中都敬拜祂。
四、不要說：「我的能力使我得著這些財富」
申命記8:17-18提醒以色列人，不可以心裡說：「這貨財是我力量、我能力得來的。」
這並不是說努力工作沒有價值，而是提醒我們：我們所有的能力、機會、智慧和資源，最終都不是理所當然的。
當我們成功時，可以努力，但不要驕傲；可以享受神的祝福，但不要忘記賜福的神。
因此，申命記第8章給我們一個非常重要的屬靈原則：
在缺乏中不要忘記神，在豐盛中更不要忘記神。
願我們無論處在曠野還是美地，無論有很多還是只有很少，都能夠說：
「主啊，我需要的不只是祢的祝福，我更需要祢自己。」

Do not forget God in your abundance
Deuteronomy chapter 8 is a very important reminder. After forty years of wilderness, the Israelites were about to enter the beautiful land God had promised. Moses knew that the difficult wilderness would test a person’s faith, but a life of abundance would also test their heart.
1. The wilderness is where God shapes us
Moses reminded the Israelites that God led them through the wilderness to “test you and test you, to know what is in your heart.”
Although the wilderness is difficult, it is not a place without God’s presence. God supplied them with manna for forty years, so their clothes were not worn and their feet were not swollen.
This reminds us that some difficulties are not proof that God has left us; rather, they may be the process of God shaping our lives.
When we face difficulties, we might simply ask, “God, why did I have this situation?” But we can also ask: “God, what do You want me to learn from this experience?”
2. True life is not just about material things
Deuteronomy 8:3 says:
“Man does not live by food alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.”
Food can sustain our bodies, but God’s word truly guides our lives.
Today, it’s easy for us to focus our lives on income, housing, work, health, and material things. These things all have their importance, but they cannot be the ultimate support of our lives.
What we need is not only what God has given, but also God Himself.
3. The greatest danger may not be lack, but plenty
After the Israelites entered the good land, they would have springs, grain, new wine, cattle and sheep, and abundant resources. Moses specifically reminded them:
“Be careful, lest you forget the Lord your God.”
This is a very profound reminder.
In difficult times, it is easy for us to pray: “Lord, please help me.” But after God grants peace, success, and abundance, we may gradually reduce our prayers and forget Him.
So, difficulties can test our faith, and success can test our humility.
We cannot seek Him only when we need Him, but should worship Him in both abundance and lack.
4. Do not say, “My ability has given me this wealth.”
Deuteronomy 8:17-18 reminds the Israelites not to say in their hearts, “This wealth is from my strength and ability.”
This doesn’t mean hard work is worthless, but rather a reminder that all our abilities, opportunities, wisdom, and resources ultimately do not come for granted.
When we succeed, we can work hard, but we should not be arrogant; You can enjoy God’s blessings, but don’t forget the God who blesses you.
Therefore, Deuteronomy chapter 8 gives us a very important spiritual principle:
Do not forget God in lack, and do not forget God in abundance.
May we be able to say, whether in the wilderness or in good land, whether many or few:
“Lord, what I need is not just Your blessings, but I need You even more.”
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 8 that You are the God who provides for us in the wilderness, keeps us in hardship, and remains with us in abundance.
Lord, as we experience the wilderness of life, please grant us faith so that we do not doubt Your love because of difficult circumstances. Let us believe that even if we cannot see the road ahead, You still know everything we need.
Please also help us remember Your past grace. As we look back on life, let us see how You once provided, led, and protected us, so that we do not forget Your faithfulness.
Lord, when You grant us abundance, success, and security, please guard our hearts, so that we do not become proud, nor let us take all the credit for ourselves. Let us remember that all good gifts come from You.
Please help us not only to pursue the blessings You have given, but also to long for Yourself. Let Your word become the true bread of our lives, so that we may be willing every day to draw near to You, listen to You, and follow Your word.
Whether we are in the wilderness today or in abundance, please help us remember You forever.
Trust in You in lack, thank You in abundance, and never forget You in any circumstance.

申命記第七章：因神的愛而分別為聖
申命記第七章是摩西對以色列人的重要提醒。以色列人即將進入神所應許的迦南地，面對許多不同的民族和文化。神吩咐他們要謹慎，不可被周圍的偶像和異教風俗同化。這段經文的核心，不只是「離開罪惡」，更是提醒神的子民：你們是屬於神的，因此要在生活中分別出來。
神對以色列人說：「因為你歸耶和華你神為聖潔的民。」這句話非常重要。以色列人不是因為自己比其他民族更加優秀，才被神揀選。經文清楚指出，神揀選他們不是因為他們人數眾多，而是因為神愛他們，並且守祂向他們列祖所起的誓。
這讓我們明白，神的揀選首先是恩典，而不是人的功勞。
今天我們成為基督徒，也不是因為我們比別人更好、更完全，而是因為神的恩典。是主耶穌基督拯救我們，使我們成為屬神的人。因此，我們的信仰不應該帶來驕傲，而應該帶來感恩、謙卑和對神的忠心。
申命記第七章也提醒以色列人，不要與那些會使他們離開神的人建立錯誤的屬靈連結。因為神知道，人很容易受到身邊環境影響。一個人每天接觸什麼、聽什麼、看什麼、跟什麼人同行，慢慢就會影響他的思想和價值觀。

此外，神也提醒以色列人，不要害怕那些比自己強大的敵人。因為神曾經帶領他們離開埃及，也必然能夠帶領他們進入應許之地。
有時候，我們面對人生的困難，也會產生恐懼：疾病、家庭問題、經濟壓力、工作困難、未來的不確定性，都可能使我們心裡紛亂。但神提醒我們：不要只看困難有多大，要記得神有多大。
申命記第七章最後帶出一個非常寶貴的信息：神是信實的神。祂守約施慈愛，向愛祂、守祂誡命的人施慈愛。
所以，我們今天可以帶著信心來到神面前。也許我們不知道明天會發生什麼，但我們知道誰掌管明天。也許前面的道路充滿挑戰，但我們知道神不會離開屬祂的人。
願我們記得：不是因為我們很強，神才愛我們；而是因為神愛我們，我們才有力量繼續向前。
當我們心裡煩躁、恐懼和紛亂的時候，讓我們重新回到神面前，記念祂過去的恩典，相信祂現在的同在，也把未來交託給祂。

親愛的天父，

Deuteronomy chapter 7: Sanctified by God’s love
Deuteronomy chapter 7 is Moses’ important reminder to the Israelites. The Israelites were about to enter the land of Canaan, promised by God, facing many different peoples and cultures. God commanded them to be careful not to be assimilated by the idols and pagan customs around them. The core of this passage is not just “turning away from sin,” but also reminding God’s people: You belong to God, so set apart in your daily lives.
God said to the Israelites, “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God.” This statement is very important. The Israelites were not chosen by God because they were superior to other nations. The scriptures clearly state that God chose them not because of their numbers, but because He loved them and kept the oath He made to their ancestors.
This helps us understand that God’s election is first and foremost grace, not human merit.
Today, we become Christians not because we are better or more complete than others, but because of God’s grace. It is the Lord Jesus Christ who saves us and makes us people of God. Therefore, our faith should not bring pride, but rather gratitude, humility, and loyalty to God.
Deuteronomy chapter 7 also reminds the Israelites not to form false spiritual connections with those who might lead them away from God. Because God knows that people are easily influenced by their surroundings. What a person encounters, hears, sees, and walks with every day gradually influences their thoughts and values.
This principle still applies today. We live in a world full of different values; this is not to tell us to run away from it, but to remind us not to let the world change our faithfulness to God.
Furthermore, God reminded the Israelites not to fear enemies stronger than themselves. Because God once led them out of Egypt, He will surely lead them into the Promised Land.
Sometimes, when we face life’s difficulties, we also feel fear: illness, family problems, financial pressure, job difficulties, and uncertainty about the future can all leave us in turmoil. But God reminds us: don’t just look at how great the difficulties are; remember how great God is.
Deuteronomy chapter 7 concludes with a very precious message: God is a faithful God. He keeps His covenant and shows love, showing love to those who love Him and keep His commandments.
Therefore, today we can come before God with faith. Maybe we don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but we know who will govern it. Perhaps the road ahead is full of challenges, but we know God will not abandon those who belong to Him.
May we remember: God does not love us because we are strong; It is because God loves us that we have the strength to keep moving forward.
When our hearts are troubled, fearful, and confused, let us return to God, remember His past grace, trust in His present presence, and entrust the future to Him.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 7 that You are a faithful, covenant-keeping, and loving God. Thank You not for being worthy, but for Your grace and love, for choosing us to be Your people.
Lord, we admit that we are often weak and easily influenced by our surroundings. Our hearts are easily drawn to the voices of the world, people’s opinions, money, fame, and all sorts of things, so that we gradually place You in a secondary position in our lives.
Please forgive us, and pray that the Holy Spirit will guard our hearts, so that we may remain faithful to You in this world full of temptations. Help us learn to discern what is pleasing to You and what will keep us away from You.
Lord, when we face difficulties and fears, please remind us not to focus only on our surroundings, but to look to You. When we feel the road ahead is too difficult, let us remember Your past guidance; When we feel lonely, let us know that You are still with us.
Please calm our restless, confused, and uneasy hearts within. Place the peace that comes from You within us, so that we are not controlled by fear or shaken by circumstances.

神首先要求我們「聽」。真正的信仰，是從聆聽神的話開始。我們每天都會聽見很多不同的聲音：世界的聲音、人的意見、新聞的消息、自己的憂慮和恐懼。但神提醒我們，要把心安靜下來，重新聆聽祂的聲音。
接著，神吩咐以色列人要盡心、盡性、盡力愛祂。這裡的「愛」不是單純的感情，而是一種全人的委身。神不是只希望我們星期日敬拜祂，而是希望祂成為我們整個生命的中心，包括我們的家庭、工作、金錢、人際關係，以及每天的思想和選擇。
申命記第六章更特別提醒父母，要把神的話教導兒女。「無論你坐在家裡，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論。」這讓我們看見，信仰教育不應該只在教會裡發生，而應該進入我們每天的生活。

Deuteronomy Chapter 6: Love the Lord with all your heart, engrave God’s word in your heart
Deuteronomy chapter 6 is a very important chapter in the Bible, and its core message is: “Israel, listen to me! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” This is not only a command for the Israelites, but also a crucial reminder for every Christian in the life of today.
God first asks us to “listen.” True faith begins with listening to God’s word. Every day, we hear many different voices: voices from the world, people’s opinions, news reports, our own worries and fears. But God reminds us to quiet our hearts and listen to His voice again.
Then, God commanded the Israelites to love Him with all their heart, soul, and strength. Here, ‘love’ is not just a simple affection, but a whole-person commitment. God does not just want us to worship Him on Sundays, but wants Him to be the center of our entire lives, including our families, work, money, relationships, and our daily thoughts and choices.
Deuteronomy chapter 6 especially reminds parents to teach God’s word to their children. “Whether you are sitting at home, walking on the street, lying down, or getting up, you must talk about it.” This shows us that faith education should not only happen within the church, but should also be part of our daily lives.
We can thank God during meals, pray together in times of difficulty, reflect on biblical teachings when making decisions, and remind each other of God’s grace within the family. When children see their parents not just saying they believe in God, but truly relying on God in their daily lives, they can see faith in their lives.
On the other hand, Moses also reminded the Israelites not to forget the Lord when they entered the promised land and lived prosperously. This is also an important reminder for us today.
People tend to seek God in difficult times, but when life goes smoothly, material wealth is abundant, and problems decrease, it is easy to place God in a secondary position. Therefore, true faith is not just ‘faith in trouble,’ but also faith that ‘remembers God after being blessed.’
Today, we can ask ourselves: **What place does God hold in my life? **Are we truly wholeheartedly, with all our hearts, souls, and strength? Or do you seek Him only when you need Him?
The Lord Jesus later quoted this passage, pointing out that loving the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind is one of the greatest commandments. This helps us understand that the core of the Christian life is not external religious forms, but a heart that truly loves God.
May we learn every day to put God first in our lives. When our hearts are troubled and our thoughts are confused, we should first return to God; When we face choices, we first seek His will; When we enjoy blessings, we never forget to thank Him.
May God’s words not only be written in the Bible, but also deeply engraved in our hearts, becoming the direction of our daily lives.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 6 to listen to Your word and love You with all our heart, soul, and strength.

聽見神的話，活出敬畏與順服
申命記第5章是非常重要的一章，因為摩西再次向以色列人宣告神在何烈山所賜的約，並重新宣讀十誡。新一代的以色列人即將進入應許之地，他們需要知道：神的子民不只是領受神的祝福，也必須學習聽從神的話。
第一，神的誡命是關乎生命的道路。
十誡不是單純的一套規條，而是神教導祂的百姓如何與神、與人建立正確的關係。第一誡說不可有別的神；這提醒我們，神必須在我們生命中居首位。
今天我們未必會跪拜偶像，但我們仍然可能把金錢、工作、成功、名聲、甚至自己的意思放在神以上。因此，我們需要常常問自己：「在我的生命中，究竟誰坐在第一位？」
第二，守安息日提醒我們神不只是要我們工作，也要我們學習安息。
神吩咐以色列人守安息日，不只是停止工作，更是承認生命不是靠自己的努力才能維持。人需要停下來，重新記得供應我們、保守我們的是神。
今天我們生活忙碌，很容易把「忙」當作生命的價值。但神提醒我們：我們的價值不是建立在我們做了多少事情，而是在於我們屬於神。
第三，敬畏神與愛神並不矛盾。
以色列人聽見神的聲音後感到敬畏，因為他們知道神是聖潔、偉大而有權柄的神。但真正的敬畏不是只害怕受懲罰，而是因為認識神的聖潔，所以願意尊重祂、順服祂。
一個真正愛神的人，不會只問：「神可以給我什麼？」而會問：「神希望我成為一個怎樣的人？」
第四，聽見神的話，更重要的是遵行。
摩西說：「所以你們要謹守遵行，這就是耶和華你們神所吩咐你們的。」（申命記5:32）
聖經知識很多並不等於生命一定改變。真正的信仰，是把神的話從頭腦帶進生活：我們怎樣說話、怎樣對待家人、怎樣處理金錢、怎樣面對別人的成功、怎樣饒恕別人，都應該讓神的話成為我們的標準。
申命記第5章提醒我們：神的誡命不是要限制我們，而是要引導我們走一條蒙福的生命道路。
願我們不只是讀神的話，也願意聽；不只是聽，也願意遵行；不只是遵行外在的規條，更讓神的話改變我們的內心。

Hear God’s word, live out reverence and obedience
Deuteronomy chapter 5 is a very important chapter, because Moses once again proclaims the covenant God gave at Mount Horeb to the Israelites and rereads the Ten Commandments. The new generation of Israelis is about to enter the Promised Land, and they need to know that God’s people not only receive God’s blessings, but must also learn to obey God’s word.

Today, we may not kneel to idols, but we can still put money, work, success, fame, and even our own will above God. Therefore, we need to constantly ask ourselves: “Who is truly at the top of my life?”
Second, keeping the Sabbath reminds us that God not only wants us to work, but also to learn to rest.
God commanded the Israelites to keep the Sabbath, not just to stop working, but to acknowledge that life cannot be sustained by their own efforts. People need to pause and remember that it is God who provides and protects us.
Today, our lives are busy, and it’s easy to mistake ‘busy’ for the value of life. But God reminds us: our value is not based on how much we have done, but on belonging to God.
Third, fearing God and loving God are not contradictory.
The Israelites felt awe upon hearing God’s voice because they knew God was holy, great, and authoritative. But true reverence is not just fear of punishment; it comes from knowing God’s holiness, and being willing to respect and obey Him.
A person who truly loves God will not just ask, “What can God give me?” Instead, they ask, “What kind of person does God want me to become?” 」
Fourth, when we hear God’s word, it is even more important to follow it.
Moses said, “Therefore, be careful and obedient, this is what the Lord your God has commanded you.” (Deuteronomy 5:32)
Having a lot of biblical knowledge does not necessarily mean life will change. True faith is bringing God’s word from the mind into our lives: how we speak, treat our family, handle money, face others’ success, and forgive others should all be made our standard.
Deuteronomy chapter 5 reminds us that God’s commandments are not meant to limit us, but to guide us on a blessed path of life.
May we not only read God’s word, but also be willing to listen; Not only listening, but also willing to follow; Not only do we follow external rules, but we also let God’s word change our hearts.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us again through Deuteronomy chapter 5 that You are a holy, just, and loving God. You gave us Your words not to deprive us of freedom, but to guide us onto the right path.
Lord, please help us to put You first in our lives. If our hearts are occupied by money, work, fame, material things, or our own will, please remind us to return to You.

人生很多時候，當我們身處困難之中，很容易呼求神；但當環境漸漸順利、生活安定之後，我們反而可能慢慢忘記神。以色列人曾經親眼看見神施行大能：神帶領他們離開埃及，在曠野供應他們，又在西奈山向他們顯現。神並不是遙遠、不關心人的神，而是一位主動尋找、拯救和教導祂子民的神。
所以摩西特別提醒他們：「你只要謹慎，殷勤保守你的心靈，免得忘記你親眼所看見的事。」這句話同樣提醒今天的我們。信仰不能只停留在過去的經歷，也需要每天重新記念神、親近神、遵行祂的話。
第四章也教導我們，不可隨意增添或刪減神的話。這表示我們不是按照自己的喜好來選擇順服神，而是願意謙卑地接受神的教導。有時候，神的話可能與我們自己的想法不同；有時候，順服神也不容易。但真正的智慧，不是只做自己喜歡的事，而是相信神比我們更知道什麼對我們有益。
此外，神也禁止以色列人拜偶像。今天我們未必會跪拜石像或木像，但任何取代神在我們心中第一位置的東西，都可能成為我們的「偶像」：金錢、名利、權力、工作，甚至自己的想法和情緒。神要求我們專心愛祂，因為祂知道，只有回到創造我們的主面前，我們的心才能找到真正的方向與平安。
然而，申命記第四章也帶給我們很大的安慰。即使人曾經遠離神，只要真心尋求祂，神仍然願意讓人尋見祂。經文說：「你若從那裡尋求耶和華你的神，就必尋見。」這是一個充滿盼望的應許。我們可能有軟弱、失敗，也可能有一段時間心裡煩躁紛亂，感覺自己離神很遠；但只要我們願意回轉、尋求神，祂仍然在等候我們。

Deuteronomy chapter 4: Do not forget the Lord
Deuteronomy chapter 4 is Moses’ important admonition to the people of Israel. Before they entered the Promised Land, Moses reminded the people: obey God’s word, keep His commandments, and do not forget all that Jehovah has done for you.
Many times in life, when we are in difficulty, it is easy to call upon God; But as the environment gradually improves and life stabilizes, we may slowly forget God. The Israelites had personally witnessed God working mightily: He led them out of Egypt, provided for them in the wilderness, and appeared to them at Mount Sinai. God is not a distant, indifferent God, but a God who actively seeks, saves, and teaches His people.
So Moses especially reminded them: “Be careful and diligent, watch your soul, and do not forget what you have seen with your own eyes.” This sentence also reminds us today. Faith cannot remain stuck in past experiences; it also requires daily remembrance, closeness, and obedience to God’s words.
Chapter 4 also teaches us not to arbitrarily add or remove God’s word. This means that we do not choose to obey God according to our own preferences, but rather humbly accept His teachings. Sometimes, God’s word may differ from our own thoughts; Sometimes, obeying God is not easy. But true wisdom is not just doing what you love, but believing that God knows better than we do what is good for us.
In addition, God forbade the Israelites from idolatry. Today, we may not kneel to statues or wooden statues, but anything that replaces God as the first place in our hearts can become our “idol”: money, fame, power, work, and even our own thoughts and emotions. God asks us to love Him wholeheartedly, because He knows that only by returning to the Lord who created us can our hearts find true direction and peace.
However, Deuteronomy chapter 4 also brings us great comfort. Even if people have distanced themselves from God, as long as they sincerely seek Him, God is still willing to let people find Him. The Scripture says, “If you seek the Lord your God from there, you will find it.” This is a promise full of hope. We may experience weakness and failure, or we may go through a period of inner turmoil and confusion, feeling distant from God; But as long as we are willing to turn back and seek God, He is still waiting for us.
Today, let us learn not to forget God’s grace and ask the Lord to help us guard our hearts. Whether the circumstances are smooth or difficult, remember God’s past guidance; Whether calm or turbulent, all are willing to return to Him. Because the God we trust in is faithful; He will not forget His covenant, nor will He easily abandon those who seek Him.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us again through Deuteronomy chapter 4 to carefully guard our hearts and not forget Your grace and Your past guidance. Lord, we admit that many times we are easily overwhelmed by the busyness of life, worldly matters, and worries in our hearts, causing our hearts to become restless and confused, and even gradually losing our initial trust in You.
Please forgive us for sometimes forgetting You and forgetting the grace You have once shown in our lives. May the Holy Spirit remind us once again to remember Your faithfulness, lovingkindness, and unwavering guidance.
Lord, when our hearts feel restless, please calm us; When our minds are confused, please guide us with Your truth; When we are troubled by anger, worry, and irritability, please grant us peace from heaven. Help us not to let money, fame, circumstances, or our own thoughts replace Your place in our hearts.

申命記第3章記載以色列人繼續進入應許之地以前的戰役。他們擊敗巴珊王噩，得著他的土地；摩西也回顧神如何為以色列人爭戰。這一章不只是講「得勝」，更提醒我們：過去的得勝是神所賜的，未來的道路也同樣需要倚靠神。
首先，不要因敵人強大而害怕。
巴珊王噩是一位強大的君王，但神對摩西說：「不要怕他，因我已將他和他的眾民，並他的地，都交在你手中。」（申命記3:2）以色列人的勝利不是因為他們本身比敵人強，而是因為神與他們同在。
我們人生也會遇到一些看似「太大」的問題。神並沒有應許我們永遠沒有困難，但祂提醒我們，不要讓困難大過我們對神的信心。
第二，神過去的信實，是我們面對將來的力量。
摩西回顧神已經帶領他們戰勝西宏和噩。這些過去的經歷成為新的信心根基。
當我們面對下一個困難時，可以回想神過去如何幫助我們。不是叫我們活在過去，而是從過去看見：神既然曾經信實，今天仍然值得我們信靠。
第三，得著產業，也要學習彼此承擔。
流便支派、迦得支派和瑪拿西半支派已經得到約旦河東的土地，但摩西吩咐他們不能只享受自己的安逸。他們必須讓其他支派一同得勝，直到眾弟兄都得著自己的產業。
這對今天的教會也是重要提醒：神所賜給我們的祝福，不只是為了自己享受，也是為了幫助別人。 我們的時間、恩賜、金錢、經驗和生命，都可以成為別人的祝福。
最後，這一章也記載摩西懇求神讓他進入應許之地，但神沒有答應他的請求。這是一個很深的提醒：即使我們非常渴望某件事情，也不代表神一定按照我們所求的方式成就。
摩西仍然要接受神的安排。這讓我們明白，信心不只是相信神會按照我的禱告行事，更是相信即使神的答案與我的願望不同，祂仍然是信實的。

After victory, we must still rely on God
Deuteronomy chapter 3 records the battles before the Israelites continued entering the Promised Land. They defeated Og, king of Bashan, and took his land; Moses also reflected on how God fought for the Israelites. This chapter not only talks about “victory,” but also reminds us that past victories were given by God, and the path ahead will equally depend on Him.
First, do not be afraid of the enemy’s strength. King
Eg of Bashan was a powerful king, but God said to Moses, “Do not fear him, for I have delivered him and his people and his land into your hands.” (Deuteronomy 3:2) The Israelites’ victory was not because they themselves were stronger than their enemies, but because God was with them.
In life, we also encounter some problems that seem “too big.” God did not promise us that we would never have difficulties, but He reminded us not to let difficulties outweigh our faith in God.
Second, God’s past faithfulness is our strength to face the future.
Moses recalled that God had already led them to defeat Sihon and Og. These past experiences became a new foundation of faith.
When we face the next difficulty, we can reflect on how God has helped us in the past. It is not about living in the past, but about seeing from the past: since God was once faithful, he is still worthy of our trust today.
Third, when you gain inheritance, you must also learn to share responsibilities with each other. The
tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh had already received the land east of the Jordan River, but Moses instructed them not to indulge only in their own comfort. They must let the other tribes prevail together until all the brothers have received their own inheritance.
This is also an important reminder for today’s church: the blessings God gives us are not just for our own enjoyment, but also for helping others. Our time, gifts, money, experience, and lives can all become blessings to others.
Finally, this chapter also records Moses pleading with God to let him enter the Promised Land, but God did not grant his request. This is a profound reminder: even if we long for something, it does not mean God will necessarily fulfill it as we ask.
Moses still had to accept God’s arrangement. This helps us understand that faith is not just about believing God will act according to our prayers, but also believing that even if God’s answers differ from our wishes, He is still faithful.
Therefore, Deuteronomy chapter 3 gives us three reminders:
When facing difficulties, do not be afraid; Looking back, remember God’s faithfulness; Facing the future, continue to obey God.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 3 that You are the God who fights for us. When we face powerful difficulties, an unknown future, and things beyond our abilities, please help us not to be controlled by fear, but to remember Your faithfulness in the past.
Lord, please help us constantly remember how You once led us, protected us, and provided for us. When new difficulties arise, let us not only look at the size of our circumstances, but look to Your greatness.
Please also grant us hearts willing to share. When You bless us, let us not only think of our own needs, but also be willing to support our brothers and sisters, becoming blessings to others.
Lord, sometimes we pray for something but do not receive the answer we expect. Please help us learn the lesson of Moses, to know that Your wisdom surpasses ours, and Your ways are higher than ours. Even if Your answer is not what we hope for, let us still believe that You are a good, faithful, and loving God.
Please lead us on the path ahead, so that we may not be proud in victory, not discouraged in difficulties, and not lose faith in waiting.

第一，有些路程是神要我們經過的，不能跳過。
以色列人曾經在曠野漂流多年。對他們而言，這段時間可能充滿疑問，但神並沒有忘記祂的應許。人生中有些等待的季節，我們可能不明白為什麼神沒有立即改變環境，但神仍然在掌管。等待不一定代表神沒有工作，有時候等待本身就是神塑造我們的一部分。
第二，神吩咐以色列人尊重其他民族的土地。
神清楚告訴他們不要任意侵佔以東人、摩押人和亞捫人的地業，因為那些地方是神所賜給他們各自的產業。這讓我們看見，神的應許並不代表我們可以不顧祂的命令。真正的信心，不只是相信神會賜給我們什麼，也包括相信神的方式和時間。

親愛的天父，

Deuteronomy chapter 2
Move forward under God’s guidance, and do not remain stuck in the past
Deuteronomy chapter 2 records an important stage in the Israelites’ journey into the wilderness. God led them around the wilderness for many years, and only when the time came did He command them to proceed toward the Promised Land. This reminds us that God’s guidance has His timing; we need to learn to wait and also to bravely move forward when God commands.
First, there are some journeys God wants us to pass through and cannot be skipped.
The Israelites once drifted in the wilderness for many years. For them, this period may be full of questions, but God has not forgotten His promises. There are some waiting seasons in life, and we may not understand why God did not immediately change the environment, yet He was still in control. Waiting does not necessarily mean God is not working; sometimes waiting itself is part of God’s shaping of us.
Second, God commanded the Israelites to respect the lands of other nations.
God clearly told them not to arbitrarily seize the land of the Edomites, Moabites, and Ammonites, because those lands were each given by God to them. This shows us that God’s promises do not mean we can ignore His commands. True faith is not just about believing in what God will give us, but also about the way and timing of believing in God.
Third, when the time is set by God, do not dwell on the past.
God said to Moses, “You have traveled around this mountain for long days; turn northward.” (Deuteronomy 2:3) This statement is very powerful. Where you once needed to stay, when the time God has set comes, you need to move forward.
We may also have some “wilderness”: past failures, disappointments, fears, and even past successes. If we keep looking back, we may miss the path God wants us to walk today. Therefore, we need to ask ourselves: What does God want me to learn right now? Where does God want me to go now?
Deuteronomy chapter 2 reminds us: do not doubt God because of the long wilderness, nor reject today’s leadership because of past experiences. God knows the path we are walking, and also knows when to wait and when to move forward.
May we learn from the experience of the Israelites: faith in waiting, courage in advancing, humility in receiving blessings, and always believe that God’s way is higher than our own.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Deuteronomy chapter 2 that You are a God who rules over time and ways. When we pass through the wilderness of life and feel we have waited too long and cannot see the direction ahead, please help us not to lose faith.
Lord, teach us to learn patience in waiting, trust in difficulties, and have the courage to move forward when You open the way. If we remain stuck in past failures, hurts, fears, or regrets, please help us to place these in Your hands and no longer be bound by the past.
Grant us spiritual wisdom so that we can discern what is our own will and what is Your guidance. Also, please keep us from becoming proud because of Your promises, and not losing hope because of difficult circumstances.
Lord, when You say ‘move forward,’ please give us faith; When You say “wait,” please grant us patience. Whether in the wilderness or the promised land, let us closely follow You.

Deuteronomy Chapter 1 — Remember, Trust, and Move Forward
Deuteronomy chapter 1 begins with Moses speaking to the people of Israel as they stand on the edge of the Promised Land. Before they move forward, Moses reminds them of their journey and, especially, of a painful lesson from their past. God had already told them, “Go up and take possession of it.” The land was before them, and God had promised to give it to them. Yet when they saw the difficulties and the strength of their enemies, fear overcame their faith.
The problem was not that God had failed to provide. The problem was that the people allowed what they could see to become greater than the God they could trust. They forgot how the Lord had delivered them from Egypt, carried them through the wilderness, and provided for their needs. Moses reminded them that God had gone before them, just as a father carries his child.
This chapter teaches us an important lesson: our past experiences should remind us of God’s faithfulness, not keep us imprisoned by our past failures. Israel had made mistakes, but God was still leading a new generation forward. Sometimes we also look at the challenges before us and become troubled, confused, or discouraged. We may see only the mountains, the enemies, and the difficulties. But God calls us to remember who He is.
Faith does not mean that there are no difficulties. Faith means trusting that God is greater than the difficulties. We may not know every step of the future, but we know the One who goes before us. Therefore, instead of allowing fear to control our hearts, let us seek the Lord, obey His Word, and move forward in faith.
Deuteronomy chapter 1 reminds us: Do not let yesterday’s fear prevent today’s obedience. Remember God’s faithfulness, trust His presence, and courageously follow where He leads.

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your faithfulness throughout our lives. Even when we have been afraid, confused, disobedient, or weak in faith, You have not abandoned us. Just as You led the people of Israel through the wilderness, we believe that You continue to lead us today.
Lord, forgive us when we allow fear to become greater than our faith. When we look at the difficulties before us and become discouraged, remind us that You are greater than every problem and that nothing is impossible for You. Help us to remember Your goodness and all the times You have carried us, protected us, and provided for us.
Please calm our troubled and restless hearts. Remove confusion, anxiety, and the many distracting thoughts within us. Give us a quiet spirit so that we may listen to Your voice. Teach us not to live in the failures of yesterday, but to trust You for today and tomorrow.
Give us courage to obey You and faith to move forward when You call us. Go before us, guide our steps, and keep our eyes fixed upon You. May we walk not by fear, but by faith; not according to what we see, but according to Your promises.
In every challenge, help us to remember that You are our God, our Father, and our strength. We place our lives, our families, and our future into Your loving hands.
