約書亞記第8章是一章很重要的經文，核心是：失敗之後，神仍然可以恢復祂的百姓；真正的得勝不是靠人的聰明，而是順服神的吩咐。
約書亞記第8章內容
1. 神吩咐約書亞再次攻打艾城（1–2節）
以色列人之前因亞干犯罪，在艾城戰敗。但亞干的罪被處理之後，神再次對約書亞說：
「不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。」
神吩咐約書亞帶著軍隊再次攻打艾城，而且這一次神把艾城交在他們手中。
這裡很感動的一點是：以色列人曾經失敗，但失敗不是故事的終點。
神沒有因為他們曾經失敗，就放棄他們。
不過，這一次神給約書亞一個新的作戰方法——設下伏兵，利用計謀攻取艾城。
這提醒我們：
依靠神，不代表我們什麼都不做；我們仍然需要聽從神、思想、計劃和行動。
2. 以色列人用計攻取艾城（3–29節）
約書亞安排一部分軍隊埋伏在艾城後面，自己帶領另一部分軍隊在城前。
他們故意假裝敗退，引誘艾城的人離開城池追趕他們。
當艾城的軍隊全部離開城後，伏兵便進入城中，放火燒城。
艾城的人回頭一看，才發現自己的城已經被攻陷。
最後，以色列人完全擊敗艾城。
這一次的勝利與第一次完全不同。
第一次，他們靠自己的方式，而且營中有罪沒有處理。
第二次，他們按照神的吩咐行事。
所以這章讓我們看見：
失敗不一定是因為我們沒有能力，有時候是因為我們沒有按照神的心意而行。
3. 約書亞築壇，重新敬拜神（30–35節）
打勝仗之後，約書亞沒有只顧慶祝勝利。
他做了一件非常重要的事：
築了一座壇給耶和華。
他們按照摩西律法的吩咐獻祭，並且把摩西的律法寫在石頭上。
之後，約書亞在以色列人面前宣讀律法。
基利心山和以巴路山兩邊站著百姓，一起聆聽神的話。
這個結尾非常重要。
因為約書亞記第8章不是單單講「如何打勝仗」，而是講：
得勝之後，仍然要回到神的話語裡。
以色列人不能因為打了一場勝仗，就忘記神。
約書亞記第8章給我們的提醒
① 失敗不是神工作的終點
艾城第一次失敗之後，神再次對約書亞說：
「不要懼怕，也不要驚惶。」
有時候我們也會因自己的失敗而灰心：
「我怎麼又犯同樣的錯？」
「我是不是讓神失望了？」
「神還會不會使用我？」
約書亞記第8章提醒我們：
當罪被對付、生命重新回轉，失敗可以成為重新學習順服神的起點。
② 神給我們第二次機會
神沒有叫約書亞永遠停留在艾城的失敗裡。
祂說：
「起來，帶著一切兵丁上艾城去。」
神叫約書亞「起來」。
有時候我們最需要的，不是一直回頭責備自己，而是：
認罪 → 回轉 → 聽神的話 → 再一次起來。
③ 得勝之後，更要記得神
約書亞打勝仗之後，第一件重要的事情之一就是築壇、獻祭、宣讀律法。
這提醒我們：
神給我們祝福，不是叫我們離祂更遠，而是叫我們更加親近祂。
工作成功、家庭平安、事情順利的時候，我們也需要停下來感謝神。
禱告
親愛的天父，
我們感謝祢，
因為祢是滿有憐憫、恩典和信實的神。
主啊，我們承認自己有軟弱，也有失敗。
有時候我們明明知道祢的心意，
卻仍然按照自己的方法行；
有時候我們因為一次失敗，
就灰心、沮喪，甚至覺得自己再也沒有機會。
求祢提醒我們：
失敗不是終點，
只要我們願意回轉歸向祢，
祢仍然能夠帶領我們重新站起來。
主啊，求祢赦免我們過去一切得罪祢的地方。
幫助我們不要逃避自己的錯誤，
也不要一直活在失敗和自責裡。
求祢給我們約書亞一樣的信心，
當祢說「不要懼怕」的時候，
我們就學習相信祢；
當祢說「起來」的時候，
我們就靠著祢重新站起來。
主啊，也求祢給我們智慧，
讓我們知道如何計劃、如何行動，
但更重要的是，
讓我們一切所做的都願意尋求祢的心意。
當我們面對人生中的「艾城」——
面對困難、失敗、家庭的問題、工作的壓力，
甚至心裡面那些看不見的爭戰時，
求祢不要讓我們靠自己的力量。
求聖靈安慰我們、堅固我們，
使我們在煩躁、紛亂、憂慮的時候，
可以安靜在祢面前。
主啊，
求祢把我們的心重新帶回祢的話語。
就像約書亞得勝之後築壇、獻祭、宣讀律法一樣，
求祢讓我們無論順境或逆境，
都不要忘記祢。
當祢賜福給我們，讓我們感恩；
當我們失敗，讓我們回轉；
當我們害怕，讓我們信靠；
當我們得勝，讓我們將榮耀歸給祢。
主啊，求祢今天親自安慰我們的心。
讓我們放下裡面的煩躁和紛亂，
把一切重擔交給祢。
願祢的平安充滿我們，

Joshua chapter 8 is a very important passage, with the core point: even after defeat, God can restore His people; True victory is not by human wisdom, but by obeying God’s command
Joshua chapter 8 content
1. God commands Joshua to attack Ai again (verses 1–2)
Previously, the Israelites had been defeated at Ai because of Achan’s sin. But after Achan’s sin was dealt with, God said again to Joshua:
“Do not be afraid, nor be alarmed.”
God commanded Joshua to lead the army to attack Ai again, and this time He handed Ai over to them.
One touching point here is that the Israelites once failed, but failure is not the end of the story
God did not abandon them just because they had once failed.
However, this time God gave Joshua a new strategy—setting up an ambush and using a stratagem to capture Ai.
This reminds us:
Relying on God does not mean we do nothing; We still need to listen to God, our thoughts, plans, and actions.
2. The Israelites Use a Scheme to Capture Ai (Verses 3–29)
Joshua arranged for part of his army to lie in ambush behind Ai, while he led another force in front of the city.
They deliberately feigned retreat, luring the people of Ai City out of the city to chase after them.
Once the entire army of Ai had left the city, the ambush force entered and set the city ablaze.
The people of Ai City turned around and realized their own city had already fallen.
In the end, the Israelites completely defeated the city of Ai.
This victory was completely different from the first.
For the first time, they did so on their own terms, and the camp was not punished for guilt.
The second time, they acted according to God’s command.
So this chapter shows us:
Failure is not necessarily because we lack ability; sometimes it is because we do not act according to God’s will.
3. Joshua builds an altar and re-worships God (verses 30–35)
After the victory, Joshua did not focus solely on celebrating.
He did something very important:
He built an altar for the LORD.
They made sacrifices according to the command of the Mosaic Law and wrote the Mosaic Law on stone.
Afterwards, Joshua read the law before the Israelites.
On both sides of Mount Kelichum and Mount Ebal, the people stood together, listening to God’s word.
This ending is very important.
Because Joshua chapter 8 does not simply talk about “how to win battles,” but rather:
After victory, we must still return to God’s word.
The Israelites could not forget God just because they had won a battle.
Joshua chapter 8 gives us a reminder
(1) Failure is not the end of God’s work
After the first failure in Ai, God said again to Joshua:
“Do not be afraid, nor be alarmed.”
Sometimes we also get discouraged by our own failures:
“Why did I make the same mistake again?”
“Have I let God down?”
“Will the gods still use me?”
Joshua chapter 8 reminds us:
When sin is dealt with and life is restored, failure can become the starting point for relearning to obey God.
(2) God gives us a second chance
God did not let Joshua remain forever in the defeat at Ai.
He said:
“Arise, take all the troops with you, and go up to Ai.”
God called Joshua to “get up.”
Sometimes, what we need most is not to constantly look back and blame ourselves, but to be:
Confession → Turn → Listen to God’s Word → Rise Again.
(3) After victory, remember God even more
After Joshua’s victory, one of the first important things was to build an altar, offer sacrifices, and read the law.
This reminds us:
God gives us blessings not to distance us further from Him, but to draw us closer to Him.
When work is successful, family is peaceful, and things go smoothly, we also need to pause and thank God.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You,
Because You are a God full of mercy, grace, and faithfulness.
Lord, we admit that we have weaknesses and failures.
Sometimes, even though we clearly know Your intentions,
yet still acted according to his own methods;
Sometimes, because of a single failure,
They become discouraged, depressed, and even feel like they never have another chance.
Remind us:
Failure is not the end,
As long as we are willing to turn back to You,
You are still able to lead us to stand up again.
Lord, please forgive us for all the places in which we have sinned against You in the past.
Help us not to avoid our own mistakes,
And don’t keep living in failure and self-blame.
Grant us faith like Joshua’s,
When You say, ‘Do not be afraid,’
We will learn to believe in You;
When You say ‘arise,’
We will rise again by Your support.
Lord, please grant us wisdom,
Let us know how to plan and act,
But more importantly,
Let all that we do seek Your will.
When we face the ‘Ai City’ in our lives—
Facing difficulties, failures, family issues, and work pressure,
Even those invisible battles within my heart,
Please do not let us rely on our own strength.
Ask the Holy Spirit to comfort and strengthen us,
so that when we are agitated, confused, or anxious,
can be quiet before You.
Lord,
Please bring our hearts back to Your Word.
Just as Joshua built an altar, offered sacrifices, and read the law after his victory,
Ask that we be made in good times or bad,
Do not forget You.
When You bless us, let us be thankful;
When we fail, let’s turn back;
When we are afraid, let us trust;
When we prevail, let us give You glory.
Lord, please personally comfort our hearts today.
Let us let go of the restlessness and chaos within,
Give all the burdens to You.
May Your peace fill us,
Give us strength again,
Standing up again,

約書亞記第7章：亞干犯罪——失敗的真正原因
一、內容敘述
約書亞記第7章發生在以色列人攻陷耶利哥之後。
神曾經吩咐以色列人，耶利哥城中當滅的物不可私自取走，金銀等物要歸給耶和華。但猶大支派中有一個人叫亞干，他私自拿了當滅之物，藏在自己的帳棚底下。
事情表面上沒有人知道，但神知道。
後來約書亞派人去攻打艾城。艾城比耶利哥小，以色列人以為很容易取勝，因此只派了少量軍隊出去。結果以色列人竟然被艾城的人擊敗，約有三十六人死亡。
約書亞非常傷心，俯伏在神面前禱告，甚至問神為甚麼讓以色列人失敗。
神回答約書亞：
「以色列人犯了罪，違背了我所吩咐他們的約。」
原來，以色列人的失敗不是因為艾城太強，而是因為以色列人中有人犯罪，破壞了與神的關係。
神吩咐約書亞找出犯罪的人。最後，經過抽籤，查出是猶大支派的亞干。
亞干承認自己看見一件美好的示拿衣服、二百舍客勒銀子和一條金子，因貪愛便拿了，藏在帳棚裡。
於是亞干和他所藏的物被處理，犯罪的事情被除掉。那地方稱為亞割谷，意思與「連累、禍患」有關。
到了第8章，以色列人重新倚靠神，才攻取艾城。
二、這一章最重要的信息
1. 人看不見的罪，神看得見
亞干以為：
「沒有人看見。」
可是神看見了。
罪最可怕的地方，就是我們很容易以為只要不被人發現，就沒有問題。
但聖經提醒我們：
人可以隱藏在別人面前，卻不能隱藏在神面前。
所以真正的聖潔，不只是在人面前有好的形象，而是在神面前有一顆誠實的心。
2. 小小的罪，也可能帶來很大的後果
亞干只是拿了一些東西，看起來好像是「一個人的事情」。
但是結果卻影響了整個以色列群體。
這提醒我們：
罪從來不只是影響自己，也可能影響家庭、教會和身邊的人。
尤其在屬靈生命上，我們不能輕看那些看似很小的罪。
3. 以色列人的問題，不只是策略錯誤，而是沒有先求問神
攻打艾城之前，以色列人可能覺得：
「艾城很小，我們應該很容易打敗它。」
他們沒有像攻打耶利哥那樣完全倚靠神。
這給我們一個很重要的提醒：
昨天神給我們勝利，不代表今天我們就可以靠自己。
每一天，我們都需要尋求神。
4. 真正的復興從認罪開始
約書亞沒有只是重新制定軍事策略。
神首先要處理的是：
罪。
當罪被揭露、承認並除掉之後，以色列人才重新經歷神的帶領。
所以當我們生命中遇到困難時，可以問：
「主啊，我是不是需要先回到祢面前，看看自己的生命？」
不是每一次困難都是因為犯罪，但每一次困難都可以成為我們重新尋求神的機會。
三、給我們今天的提醒
約書亞記第7章不是單單講「亞干犯罪」。
它更深地提醒我們：
不要把神的祝福當作理所當然，也不要讓隱藏的罪留在生命裡。
有時候我們外表仍然正常聚會、唱詩、禱告，但心裡可能藏著貪心、嫉妒、苦毒、驕傲、色情、謊言、不饒恕，或者一些不願意交給神的事情。
神不是要羞辱我們，而是要我們回轉。
神光照我們，不是為了毀滅我們，而是為了潔淨我們，使我們重新與祂同行。
禱告
親愛的天父，
我們感謝祢，因為祢是聖潔、公義、信實的神。
今天我們讀約書亞記第7章，看見亞干犯罪，也看見隱藏的罪所帶來的後果。
主啊，我們承認，有時候我們也會像亞干一樣，只看見眼前的利益，卻忘記祢的吩咐；只在乎人有沒有看見，卻忘記祢一直都看見我們的心。
求聖靈光照我們。
如果我們生命中有任何不討祢喜悅的地方，求祢讓我們看見，也給我們勇氣承認，不再隱藏、不再為自己找理由。

「為甚麼事情會這樣？」
而是安靜下來問：
「主啊，祢要我從這件事學習甚麼？我是否需要重新回到祢面前？」
求祢使我們不倚靠自己的聰明，不因為過去有成功就忘記尋求祢。
主啊，求祢保守我們每一個基督徒，也保守我們的家庭和教會。
求祢賜給我們一顆敬畏祢、誠實在祢面前的心。
當我們軟弱的時候，求祢扶持我們；當我們犯罪的時候，求祢帶領我們悔改；當我們心裡煩躁、紛亂、不安的時候，求祢親自安慰我們，使我們安靜在祢面前。
「神啊，求祢鑒察我，知道我的心思；試煉我，知道我的意念，看在我裡面有甚麼惡行沒有，引導我走永生的道路。」

Joshua chapter 7: Achan’s sin—the real reason for failure
1. Content description
Joshua chapter 7 takes place after the Israelites capture Jericho.
God had commanded the Israelites not to take anything from Jericho that was to be destroyed for themselves, but to the Lord gold and silver and other things. But among the tribe of Judah, there was a man named Achan who secretly took the things that were to be destroyed and hid them under his tent.
On the surface, no one knows, but God does.
Later, Joshua sent men to attack Ai. Ai was smaller than Jericho, so the Israelites thought victory would be easy, so they sent out only a small force. In the end, the Israelites were defeated by the people of Ai, and about thirty-six were killed.
Joshua was deeply saddened, bowing before God in prayer, even asking Him why He had let the Israelites fail.
God answered Joshua:
“The Israelites have sinned and broken the covenant I commanded them.”
It turned out that the Israelites’ failure was not because Ai was too strong, but because some Israelites had sinned and damaged their relationship with God.
God instructed Joshua to find the sinner. Finally, after casting lots, it was identified as Achan from the tribe of Judah.
Achan admitted that he saw a beautiful Shina garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a piece of gold, and, out of greed, took them and hid them in his tent.
So Achan and what he had stored were dealt with, and the sins were removed. That place was called the Valley of Achor, meaning ‘affliction’ or ‘disaster.’
By chapter 8, the Israelites had regained their trust in God and captured Ai.
2. The most important message in this chapter
1. Sin that people cannot see, God can see
Argan believed:
“No one saw it.”
But God saw it.
The most terrifying aspect of sin is that we easily think that as long as we are not discovered, there is no problem.
But the Bible reminds us:
People can hide from others, but not from God.
Therefore, true holiness is not just about having a good image before others, but having an honest heart before God.
2. Even a small sin can bring great consequences
Akan only took some things, which seemed like “a matter for one person.”
But the result affected the entire Israeli community.
This reminds us:
Sin never only affects oneself, but can also affect family, church, and those around us.
Especially in spiritual life, we must not underestimate sins that seem minor.
3. The problem with the Israelites was not just a strategic mistake, but that they did not first consult God
Before attacking Ai, the Israelites might have thought:
“Ai City is very small; we should be able to defeat it easily.”
They did not fully rely on God as they did when they attacked Jericho.
This gives us an important reminder:
Just because God gave us victory yesterday doesn’t mean we can rely on ourselves today.
Every day, we need to seek God.
4. True revival begins with confession
Joshua did not simply revise military strategy.
The first thing God needs to deal with is:
Crime.
Only after sin was exposed, confessed, and removed did the Israelites re-experience God’s guidance.
So when we encounter difficulties in life, we can ask:
“Lord, should I first return to You and see my own life?”
Not every difficulty is due to sin, but every difficulty can become an opportunity for us to seek God again.
3. A reminder for today
Joshua chapter 7 does not simply talk about “Achan’s sin.”
It reminds us more deeply:
Do not take God’s blessings for granted, nor let hidden sins remain in your life.
Sometimes we may appear normal in gathering, singing hymns, and praying, but inside we may harbor greed, jealousy, bitterness, pride, lust, lies, unforgiveness, or things we are unwilling to give to God.
God does not want to shame us, but to turn us back.
God’s light shines on us not to destroy us, but to cleanse us and bring us back to walk with Him.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You because You are a holy, just, and faithful God.
Today, as we read Joshua chapter 7, we see Achan’s sin, and also the consequences of hidden sin.
Lord, we admit that sometimes we too are like Achan, only seeing immediate gains and forgetting Your commands; Caring only whether people see or not, forgetting that You have always seen our hearts.
Ask the Holy Spirit to shine upon us.
If there is anything in our lives that does not please You, please let us see it and give us the courage to admit it, no longer hiding or making excuses for ourselves.
Lord, please cleanse our hearts and remove from our greed, pride, jealousy, bitterness, and all things that do not please You.
When we face difficulties and failures, please help us not just ask:
“Why did things turn out this way?”
Instead, he quieted down and asked:
“Lord, what do You want me to learn from this? Do I need to return to You?”
Help us not to rely on our own wisdom, nor to forget to seek You because of past successes.
Lord, please protect every one of us, as well as our families and churches.
Grant us a heart that fears You and is honest before You.
When we are weak, please support us; When we sin, please lead us to repentance; When our hearts are troubled, confused, and uneasy, please comfort us personally and keep us quiet before You.
“God, examine me and know my thoughts; test me, know my thoughts, and see if there is any evil in me, and guide me in the way of eternal life.”

Lord, let us be willing every day to let You discern and to let You change.
We entrust ourselves, our families, and our church into Your hands.

約書亞記第6章：耶利哥城倒塌
約書亞記第6章記載以色列人進入迦南地後，面對第一個重要的仗——攻取耶利哥城。
耶利哥城關閉城門，防守非常嚴密。從人的角度看，以色列人沒有容易攻城的條件；但神親自吩咐約書亞怎樣行。
一、神先應許得勝
神對約書亞說：
「看哪，我已經把耶利哥和耶利哥王，並大能的勇士，都交在你手中。」
——約書亞記6:2
很重要的是，神是在以色列人開始作戰以前，就宣告祂已經把耶利哥交在他們手中。
這不是靠以色列人的軍事力量，而是靠神的應許。
二、神吩咐一個看似奇怪的方法
神吩咐以色列人：
- 六日每天繞城一次；
- 七個祭司拿七個羊角走在約櫃前面；
- 到第七日，要繞城七次；
- 祭司吹角；
- 百姓聽見長角聲，就要大聲呼喊。
這個方法在人看來非常不尋常。
他們不是用刀劍攻城，也不是架雲梯，而是照神的吩咐繞城、等候、吹角、呼喊。
這讓我們看見一個重要的屬靈原則：
信心有時不是做我們認為最有效的方法，而是忠心按照神的話去行。
三、以色列人順服神的命令
以色列人沒有急著用自己的方法攻城。
第一日繞一次，第二日又繞一次……一直到第七日。
第七日，他們繞城七次。
當祭司吹角，約書亞吩咐百姓呼喊，城牆就倒塌了。
「於是百姓呼喊，祭司也吹角。百姓聽見角聲，便大聲呼喊，城牆就塌陷，百姓便上去進城，各人往前直上，將城奪取。」
——約書亞記6:20
真正使城牆倒塌的，不是人的呼喊，而是神的大能。
四、喇合一家得救
之前喇合曾經保護以色列的探子，因此約書亞吩咐將她和她家中的人救出來。
結果：
耶利哥城被毀滅，但喇合和她一家卻蒙拯救。
這提醒我們，神不只是審判罪惡，祂也記念人的信心和對祂子民所作的事。
喇合原本是外邦人，但她因著信靠以色列的神，成為蒙恩的人。
約書亞記第6章給我們的提醒
1. 不要只看眼前的「城牆」
我們人生中也會有一些好像耶利哥城一樣的困難：
- 一個解決不了的問題
- 一段很難面對的關係
- 長期的壓力
- 看不到出口的環境
- 禱告很久仍然沒有改變的事情
但神要我們記得：
城牆再高，也沒有高過神。
2. 神有時要求我們等候
以色列人繞城六日，城牆都沒有倒。
如果他們只看環境，可能會想：「這樣做有什麼用？」
但神的工作有祂的時間。
沒有立即看見結果，不代表神沒有工作。
3. 順服比明白更加重要
以色列人未必完全明白為什麼要這樣做，但他們照著神的話去做。
信心不是「我完全明白，所以我才相信」。
很多時候是：
「我現在未完全明白，但因為相信神，所以我仍然順服。」
4. 神的得勝不是人的功勞
耶利哥城倒塌，不是因為以色列人比耶利哥人強，而是神成就祂的應許。
所以當我們經歷突破時，也要記得把榮耀歸給神。
禱告
親愛的天父，
感謝祢讓我們從約書亞記第6章看見，在人看來不可能的事情，在祢手中卻沒有難成的事。
主啊，我們很多時候看見自己的「耶利哥城」，就感到害怕、煩躁和無助。我們看見問題太大、道路太難，就容易忘記祢是那位掌管一切的神。
求祢赦免我們常常只看環境，而忘記祢的應許。
主啊，求祢賜我們約書亞一樣的信心。
當祢叫我們等候，就讓我們學習等候；
當祢叫我們順服，就讓我們甘心順服；
當我們還看不到結果的時候，求祢保守我們的心，不要灰心，也不要自己用人的方法急著解決。
求祢幫助我們把心中的重擔交給祢。
主啊，求祢安靜我們煩躁紛亂的心。
把我們裡面的恐懼、憂慮、急躁和不安，都帶到祢面前。
讓我們記得：
城牆雖然高，祢比城牆更高；
困難雖然大，祢比困難更大；
道路雖然看不見，祢仍然在我們前面。
求祢賜我們忍耐的心，叫我們即使繞了很多次，仍然不放棄祢；即使暫時看不到改變，仍然相信祢正在工作。
也求祢保守我們，不把得勝歸給自己，而是凡事將榮耀歸給祢。

Joshua chapter 6: The city of Jericho fell
Joshua chapter 6 records that after the Israelites entered Canaan, they faced their first major battle—the capture of Jericho
Jericho closed its gates and was heavily defended. From a human perspective, the Israelites did not have the conditions to easily besiege the city; But God Himself instructed Joshua to do so.
1. God first promised victory
God said to Joshua:
“Look, I have entrusted Jericho, its king, and all mighty warriors into your hands.”
——Joshua 6:2
It is important that God declared that He had delivered Jericho into their hands even before the Israelites began to fight
This was not by the military might of the Israelites, but by God’s promise.
2. God commanded a seemingly strange method
God commanded the Israelites:
- and on weekends, the city was circumambulated once daily;
- Seven priests walked before the Ark of the Covenant, each carrying seven ram horns;
- On the seventh day, they must circumambulate the city seven times;
- The priest blows the horn;
- When the people heard the sound of the horn, they shouted loudly.
This method seems very unusual to people.
They did not attack the city with swords or build ladders, but by following God’s command to circumambulate the city, wait, blow horns, and shout.
This reveals an important spiritual principle:
Sometimes faith is not about doing what we think is the most effective method, but about faithfully following God’s word.
3. The Israelites obeyed God’s commands
The Israelites did not rush to attack the city by their own methods.
Circling once on the first day, then again on the second day…… All the way to the seventh day.
On the seventh day, they circled the city seven times.
When the priests blew the trumpet, Joshua commanded the people to shout, and the city walls collapsed.
「於是百姓呼喊，祭司也吹角。 百姓聽見角聲，便大聲呼喊，城牆就塌陷，百姓便上去進城，各人往前直上，將城奪取。 」
——Joshua 6:20
What truly causes the city walls to fall is not human shouts, but the power of God.
4. The Rahab family is saved
Previously, Rahab had protected Israel’s spies, so Joshua ordered her and her family to be rescued.
Results:
The city of Jericho was destroyed, but Rahab and her family were saved.
This reminds us that God not only judges sin, but also remembers people’s faith and what He has done for His people.
Rahab was originally a Gentile, but because she trusted the God of Israel, she became a person of grace.
Joshua chapter 6 gives us a reminder
1. Don’t just focus on the ‘city wall’ in front of you
In our lives, there will also be difficulties like those in Jericho:
- An unsolvable problem
- A relationship that is hard to face
- Long-term stress
- No exit environment in sight
- Praying for a long time still does not change anything
But God wants us to remember:
No matter how tall the city walls are, none are taller than the gods.
2. Sometimes God asks us to wait
The Israelites surrounded the city for six days, and the walls did not fall.
If they only look at the environment, they might think, “What’s the point of doing this?”
But God’s work has His time.
Not seeing results immediately does not mean God is not working.
3. Obedience is more important than understanding
The Israelites may not fully understand why they did this, but they did according to God’s word.
Faith is not “I fully understand, so I believe.”
Many times, it is:
“I don’t fully understand it yet, but because I believe in God, I still obey.”
4. God’s victory is not the work of man
The fall of Jericho was not because the Israelites were stronger than the Jericho, but because God fulfilled His promise.
So when we experience breakthroughs, we must also remember to give glory to God.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for letting us see from Joshua chapter 6 that what seems impossible to men is nothing difficult in Your hands
Lord, many times when we see our own ‘city of Jericho,’ we feel afraid, irritable, and helpless. When we see the problems are too great and the path too difficult, it’s easy to forget that You are the God who rules over everything.
Forgive us for often focusing only on our circumstances and forgetting Your promises.
Lord, please grant us faith like Joshua’s.
When You call us to wait, let us learn to wait;
When You call us to obey, let us willingly obey;
When we still can’t see the outcome, please guard our hearts—don’t lose heart, and don’t rush to solve problems using human methods.
Please help us to place the burdens in our hearts upon You.
Lord, please quiet our restless and chaotic hearts.
Bring all the fear, worry, impatience, and unease within us before You.
Let us remember:
Though the city walls are high, You are taller than the walls;
Though the difficulties are great, You are greater than the difficulties;
Although the road is invisible, You are still ahead of us.
Grant us a patient heart, so that even after many detours, we will not give up on You; Even if change is not visible for now, we still believe that You are at work.
Also, please keep us from taking victory to ourselves, but to give glory to You in all things.

約書亞記第5章——重新與神立約，預備進入應許之地
約書亞記第5章是一個非常重要的轉折。以色列人已經過了約旦河，但真正進入神所應許的地，仍然需要信靠神、順服神。這一章主要有四件事情。
一、以色列人重新行割禮（1–9節）
以色列人過約旦河之後，神吩咐約書亞給新一代以色列人行割禮。
因為出埃及時那一代的人，大多已經死在曠野；新一代的人在曠野出生，沒有受割禮。
割禮是神與亞伯拉罕立約的記號，代表以色列人是屬於神、與神有立約的關係。
神甚至讓他們在進入迦南之前停下來接受割禮。從人的角度看，這時候敵人就在附近，似乎不是一個安全的時機。
但神要他們先處理一件更重要的事：
先確認自己與神的關係，然後才面對前面的爭戰。
神對約書亞說：
「我今日將埃及的羞辱從你們身上滾去了。」
所以那地方叫作「吉甲」，意思與「滾去」有關。
二、以色列人守逾越節（10–12節）
以色列人在吉甲守逾越節。
這是非常有意義的，因為逾越節提醒他們：
神曾經怎樣拯救他們脫離埃及，現在也必定帶領他們進入應許之地。
他們吃了迦南地的出產。
而且從第二天開始，嗎哪就停止了。
四十年來，神每天供應嗎哪；現在進入應許之地，供應方式改變了。
這提醒我們：
神的供應方式可以改變，但神自己永遠不改變。
有時神用我們熟悉的方式供應，有時祂會帶我們進入新的階段。
三、約書亞遇見「耶和華軍隊的元帥」（13–15節）
這是本章最特別的一段。
約書亞靠近耶利哥時，看見一個人手裡拿著拔出來的刀。
約書亞問：
「你是幫助我們呢？是幫助我們敵人呢？」
對方回答：
「不是，我來是要作耶和華軍隊的元帥。」
約書亞就俯伏下拜。
這裡有一個非常重要的功課：
約書亞不是要問：
「神啊，你站在哪一邊？」
真正重要的是：
「我自己是否站在神這一邊？」
我們很多時候禱告，希望神按照我們的計劃幫助我們。
但神有時候不是來支持「我的計劃」，而是要我們放下自己的意思，接受祂的帶領。
四、約書亞脫下鞋子
耶和華軍隊的元帥對約書亞說：
「把你腳上的鞋脫下來，因為你所站的地方是聖的。」
這讓我們想到摩西在荊棘火焰中遇見神時，也曾聽見同樣的吩咐。
這表示：
神要約書亞首先敬畏祂，而不是倚靠自己的能力。
前面就是耶利哥城，戰爭即將開始。
但是在神眼中，最重要的不是以色列人有多少兵力，而是：
他們是否敬畏神、順服神、相信神。
約書亞記第5章給我們的提醒
1. 面對困難以前，先回到神面前
以色列人進入迦南之前，神首先叫他們重新行割禮、守逾越節。
這告訴我們：
人生最大的問題，不一定是外面的敵人，而可能是我們裡面與神的關係。
2. 神的供應方式會改變，但祂仍然信實
嗎哪停止了。
這並不是神停止供應，而是神開始用另一種方式供應。
所以當我們發現事情不再像從前一樣，不一定代表神離開了我們。
有時候，是神正在帶我們進入另一個階段。
3. 不要只問「神會不會幫我」
更重要的是問：
「我有沒有順服神？」
神不是我們計劃的附屬品。
我們不是要求神跟著我們走，而是要學習跟著神走。
4. 神要我們在爭戰以前先敬拜
耶利哥城的戰爭還沒有開始，約書亞已經先俯伏敬拜。
這是一個很美的屬靈次序：
先敬拜，再爭戰；先信靠，再行動；先聽神的話，再作自己的決定。
禱告
親愛的天父，
感謝祢藉著約書亞記第五章提醒我們，當我們面對人生前面的道路和各樣的困難時，最重要的不是先看環境有多大，也不是先看自己的能力有多少，而是先回到祢面前。
主啊，求祢幫助我們常常省察自己的心，叫我們不要只忙著處理外面的問題，卻忘記了自己與祢的關係。
求祢使我們的心重新歸向祢，除去我們裡面的驕傲、懼怕、煩躁和紛亂，使我們願意安靜在祢面前。
主啊，祢曾經供應以色列人四十年的嗎哪，到了應許之地，祢又用新的方式供應他們。求祢提醒我們，即使環境改變、生活改變、祢供應我們的方法改變，祢仍然是信實不變的神。
當我們遇到困難時，求祢不要讓我們只問：「主啊，祢會不會幫助我？」
反而求祢教導我們問：
「主啊，我是否站在祢這一邊？我是否願意順服祢？」
主啊，求祢賜給我們一顆謙卑的心，像約書亞一樣俯伏在祢面前。
在我們進入人生每一場爭戰以前，讓我們先敬拜祢；在我們作每一個重要決定以前，讓我們先尋求祢；在我們感到害怕和不安的時候，讓我們記得祢仍然掌管一切。
求祢安靜我們煩躁紛亂的心，叫我們不被環境牽動，不被人的聲音攪擾，而是安靜聆聽祢的聲音。
主啊，求祢帶領我們，使我們不是走自己的道路，而是跟隨祢的道路。
我們把前面的路、家庭、工作、服事，以及一切我們所擔心的事情，都交在祢手中。
求祢賜我們信心、順服和勇氣，使我們可以靠著祢，一步一步走進祢為我們預備的道路。

Joshua Chapter 5—Renewing the Covenant with God, Preparing to Enter the Promised Land
Joshua chapter 5 is a very important turning point. The Israelites had already crossed the Jordan River, but to truly enter the land God had promised, they still needed to trust and obey God. This chapter mainly consists of four things.
1. The Israelites Undergo Circumcision Again (Verses 1–9)
After the Israelites crossed the Jordan River, God instructed Joshua to circumcise the new generation of Israelites.
For most of the people of that generation who left Egypt had already died in the wilderness; The new generation was born in the wilderness and had not been circumcised.
Circumcision is a sign of God’s covenant with Abraham, representing that the Israelites belonged to God and had a covenant relationship with Him.
God even allowed them to stop and undergo circumcision before entering Canaan. From a human perspective, at this time, the enemy was nearby, and it seemed like an unsafe time.
But God wants them to deal with something more important first:
First, confirm your relationship with God, and only then face the battle ahead.
God said to Joshua:
“Today I have rolled away the shame of Egypt from you.”
So that place is called ‘Jijia,’ meaning ‘to get lost.’
2. The Israelites Observe the Passover (verses 10–12)
The Israelites observe Passover in Gilgal.
This is very meaningful because Passover reminds them:
Just as God once saved them from Egypt, He will surely lead them into the Promised Land now.
They ate the produce of the land of Canaan.
And starting the next day, the manna stopped.
For forty years, God has supplied manna every day; Now, entering the Promised Land, the way of supply has changed.
This reminds us:
God’s way of providing can change, but God Himself never changes.
Sometimes God provides in ways we are familiar with, and sometimes He leads us into new stages.
3. Joshua Meets the ‘Commander of the Army of the Lord’ (verses 13–15)
This is the most special part of this chapter.
As Joshua approached Jericho, he saw a man holding a drawn sword.
Joshua asked:
“Are you helping us? Are you helping our enemies?”
The other party replied:
“No, I have come to be the commander of the Lord’s army.”
Joshua bowed down and bowed down.
Here’s a very important lesson:
Joshua wasn’t here to ask:
“God, which side are you on?”
What truly matters is:
“Am I on God’s side myself?”
Many times, we pray, hoping God will help us according to our plan.
But sometimes God does not come to support “my plan,” but rather to let go of our own will and accept His guidance.
4. Joshua took off his shoes
The commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua:
“Take off your shoes, for the place where you stand is holy.”
This reminds us that when Moses met God in the flames of thorns, he also heard the same command.
This means:
God wanted Joshua to first fear Him, not rely on his own abilities.
Ahead was the city of Jericho, and the war was about to begin.
But in God’s eyes, the most important thing is not how many troops the Israelites had, but rather:
Do they fear God, obey God, and believe in Him?
Joshua chapter 5 gives us a reminder
1. Before facing difficulties, return to God
Before the Israelites entered Canaan, God first ordered them to perform circumcision again and observe the Passover.
This tells us:
The greatest problem in life is not necessarily external enemies, but perhaps our internal relationship with God.
2. God’s way of providing will change, but He remains faithful
Manna stopped.
This is not that God has stopped providing but that God has begun to provide in another way.
So when we realize things are no longer the same as before, it doesn’t necessarily mean God has left us.
Sometimes, it is God who is leading us into another stage.
3. Don’t just ask, ‘Will God help me?’
More importantly, the question is:
“Have I obeyed God?”
God is not an accessory to our plan.
We are not asking God to follow us, but learning to follow Him.
4. God wants us to worship before the battle
Before the battle in Jericho began, Joshua had already bowed down in worship.
This is a beautiful spiritual order:
Worship first, then fight; Trust first, then act; Listen to God’s word first, then make your own decision.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You, through Joshua chapter 5, to remind us that when we face the road ahead and various difficulties in life, the most important thing is not to first look at how big the environment is or how much ability we have, but to first return to You.
Lord, please help us to constantly examine our hearts, so that we are not only busy dealing with external problems and forget our relationship with You.
Turn our hearts back to You, remove pride, fear, agitation, and confusion from us, so that we may be quiet before You.
Lord, You once supplied manna for the Israelites for forty years, and now in the Promised Land, You supply them in a new way. Please remind us that even as circumstances, lives, and methods of providing for us change, You remain the faithful and unchanging God.
When we encounter difficulties, please do not let us just ask: “Lord, will You help me?”
Instead, ask that You teach us to ask:
“Lord, am I on Your side? Am I willing to submit to You?”
Lord, please grant us a humble heart, to bow before You like Joshua.
Before we enter every battle in life, let us worship You first; Before we make every important decision, let us seek You; When we feel afraid and uneasy, let us remember that You are still in control.
Please quiet our restless and chaotic hearts, so that we are not swayed by our environment or disturbed by others’ voices, but instead quietly listen to Your voice.
Lord, please lead us so that we do not walk our own path, but follow Your path.
We entrust the way ahead, family, work, service, and everything we worry about into Your hands.
Grant us faith, obedience, and courage, so that we may rely on You and walk step by step on the path You have prepared for us.
I pray in the victorious name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

約書亞記第4章：記念神所行的大事
約書亞記第4章記載以色列人過約旦河之後，神吩咐他們立石為記，叫後代永遠記住神怎樣帶領他們進入應許之地。
一、十二支派各取一塊石頭（1–8節）
當百姓全部過了約旦河，神吩咐約書亞從十二支派各選一個人，每人從約旦河中取一塊石頭，帶到住宿的地方。
這十二塊石頭不是普通的石頭，而是一個記號。
神要以色列人記住：
「這些石頭是甚麼意思？」
當將來兒女問起時，他們就可以述說神的大能——神使約旦河的水斷絕，使以色列人走乾地過河。
這提醒我們：信仰不能只停留在自己的經歷，也要把神的作為傳給下一代。
二、祭司站在約旦河中，直到百姓全部過去（9–14節）
約書亞又把十二塊石頭立在約旦河中祭司站立的地方。
祭司抬著約櫃站在河中，直到所有百姓都過去。
這裡讓我們看見一個很重要的畫面：
神的同在走在百姓前面，也守護著百姓走過去。
約櫃代表神的同在。
百姓不是靠自己的能力征服約旦河，而是因為神在他們中間，為他們開道路。
三、約旦河的水恢復原狀（15–18節）
當祭司從約旦河上來，腳一踏到乾地，約旦河的水就恢復原來的水位。
這件事很重要。
神不是只叫百姓「相信祂會開路」，而是讓他們親眼看見祂真的開了路。
有時候我們面對人生的困難，就好像站在約旦河面前：
前面沒有路，後面也沒有退路。
但神能夠在我們看不見道路的地方開道路。
四、以色列人安營在吉甲（19–24節）
以色列人正月初十從約旦河上來，在吉甲安營。
約書亞把那些石頭立在那裡，然後告訴百姓：
將來他們的兒女問：
「這些石頭是甚麼意思？」
就要告訴他們：
「以色列人曾走乾地過這約旦河。」
而神為甚麼要他們記住這件事？
第24節給我們答案：
「要使地上萬民都知道，耶和華的手大有能力，也要使你們永遠敬畏耶和華你們的神。」
所以，記念神的恩典，不只是為了回憶過去，而是為了今天更敬畏神，明天更有信心。
約書亞記第4章給我們的提醒
1. 不要忘記神曾經怎樣帶領我們
人很容易記得困難，卻忘記神的恩典。
所以我們也需要自己的「十二塊石頭」——把神曾經幫助我們的事情記下來。
當我們將來再次遇到困難時，可以回頭看看：
「神以前怎樣帶領我，今天祂也沒有改變。」
2. 要把神的作為告訴下一代
孩子未必能親身經歷我們所經歷的一切，但我們可以把神的信實告訴他們。
不是只教導他們「神存在」，更要告訴他們：
「我曾經在困難中經歷神。」
這就是信仰的傳承。
3. 神開的路，要記住是神開的
以色列人過約旦河後，很容易把焦點放在「我們終於過去了」。
但十二塊石頭提醒他們：
不是我們自己走過去，是神為我們開了道路。
所以我們生命中每一次「過河」，都值得感恩。
禱告
親愛的天父，
感謝祢藉著約書亞記第四章提醒我們，
祢是一位信實的神。
當以色列人面對約旦河的時候，
前面似乎沒有道路，
但祢親自為他們開路，
使他們可以走乾地過去。
主啊，我們的人生也有很多「約旦河」。
有時候我們面對家庭、工作、前途、困難和未知的事情，
心裡會煩躁、擔心、紛亂，
甚至不知道下一步應該怎樣走。
求祢幫助我們安靜下來，
不要只看眼前的困難，
而是回想祢過去的恩典。
求祢讓我們記得：
祢以前怎樣帶領我們，祢今天仍然是同一位信實的神。
主啊，求祢把平安放在我們心裡，
除去我們裡面的煩躁、憂慮和混亂。
當我們看不見道路的時候，
求祢給我們信心相信祢；
當我們不知道下一步怎樣走的時候，
求祢帶領我們一步一步跟隨祢。
也求祢幫助我們成為美好的見證，
把祢的恩典和信實告訴我們的兒女、家人和下一代，
叫他們知道：
耶和華的手大有能力，
祂永遠值得我們信靠。
主啊，讓我們不要忘記祢曾經為我們所做的一切。
求祢使我們常常數算恩典，
在順境中感恩，
在困境中信靠，
在等待中忍耐。
願我們一生都記念祢，
敬畏祢，
跟隨祢。

Joshua chapter 4: Remember the great works God has done
Joshua chapter 4 records that after the Israelites crossed the Jordan River, God commanded them to erect a stone as a marker, so that future generations would forever remember how God led them into the Promised Land.
1. Each of the Twelve Tribes Takes a Stone (Verses 1–8)
When all the people had crossed the Jordan River, God commanded Joshua to choose one person from each of the twelve tribes, and each person would take a stone from the Jordan River to bring to their lodging.
These twelve stones were not ordinary stones, but a mark.
God wants the Israelites to remember:
“What do these stones mean?”
When future children ask, they can speak of God’s mighty power—that God cut off the waters of the Jordan River and made the Israelites cross the river on dry ground.
This reminds us that faith cannot remain solely in our own experiences, but must also pass on God’s works to the next generation
2. The priest stands in the Jordan River until all the people have passed (verses 9–14).
Joshua also set twelve stones in the Jordan where the priests stood.
The priest carried the ark and stood in the river until all the people had passed by.
Here we see a very important scene:
God’s presence walks ahead of the people and guards them as they pass by.
The Ark of the Covenant represents God’s presence.
The people did not conquer the Jordan River by their own strength, but because God was among them and opened a way for them.
3. The Restoration of the Jordan River’s Water to Its Original State (Verses 15–18)
When the priest came up from the Jordan River and stepped on dry ground, the water of the Jordan River returned to its original level.
This matter is very important.
God did not simply tell the people to “believe that He will make the way,” but to let them witness with their own eyes that He truly made the way.
Sometimes when we face life’s difficulties, it’s like standing before the Jordan River:
There was no path ahead, and no retreat behind.
But God can make a way where we cannot see the way.
4. The Israelites Camped in Gilgal (Verses 19–24)
The Israelites came up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month and camped at Gilgal.
Joshua set the stones there and then told the people:
In the future, their children will ask:
“What do these stones mean?”
You need to tell them:
“The Israelites crossed the Jordan River on dry land.”
And why did God want them to remember this?
Verse 24 gives us the answer:
“So that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty and mighty, and that you may fear the Lord your God forever.”
Therefore, remembering God’s grace is not just about reminiscing about the past, but about fearing God more today and having more faith tomorrow
Joshua chapter 4 gives us a reminder
1. Do not forget how God once led us
People easily remember difficulties but forget God’s grace.
So we also need our own ‘twelve stones’—to record what God has helped us with.
When we encounter difficulties again in the future, we can look back:
“How God led me before, He hasn’t changed today.”
2. To share God’s works with the next generation
Children may not personally experience everything we go through, but we can tell them God’s faithfulness.
Not only teach them that ‘God exists,’ but also tell them:
“I once experienced God in difficult times.”
This is the inheritance of faith.
3. Remember that the path God made is made by God
After crossing the Jordan River, Israelis easily focus on “We have finally passed through.”
But the twelve stones remind them:
It’s not that we walk through it ourselves; it is God who has opened the way for us.
So every time we “cross the river” in life, it is worth being grateful.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Joshua chapter 4,
You are a faithful God.
When the Israelites faced the Jordan River,
There seemed to be no road ahead,
But You Yourself opened the way for them,
so that they could walk across dry land.
Lord, our lives also have many “Jordan Rivers.”
Sometimes when we face family, work, the future, difficulties, and unknown matters,
Feeling restless, worried, and confused,
They didn’t even know what the next step should be.
Please help us to quiet down,
Don’t focus only on the difficulties in front of you,
Instead, we should remember Your past graces.
Please remind us:
Just as You led us before, You are still the same faithful God today.
Lord, please place peace in our hearts,
Remove the restlessness, worry, and confusion within us.
When we can’t see the road,
Grant us faith to believe in You;
When we don’t know what to do next,
Please lead us to follow You step by step.
And help us to be beautiful witnesses,
Share Your grace and faithfulness with our children, families, and the next generation,
Let them know:
The hand of the Lord is mighty and mighty,
He is always worthy of our trust.
Lord, let us not forget all that You have done for us.
May You keep us counting grace,
Be thankful in good times,
Trust in adversity,
Endure while waiting.
May we remember You throughout our lives,
Revering and fearing you,
Follow You.

約書亞記第3章：過約旦河
約書亞記第3章是一個非常重要的轉折：以色列人終於要離開曠野，進入神應許的迦南地。 神藉著約旦河的神蹟，讓百姓知道祂仍然與他們同在，也讓他們學習一個功課——先相信神的話，然後踏出信心的一步。
一、約櫃走在前面——神親自帶領
以色列人來到約旦河邊，當時正值收割的季節，約旦河水漲過兩岸。
祭司抬著約櫃走在百姓前面。約櫃代表神的同在。
約書亞吩咐百姓：
「你們看見耶和華你們神的約櫃，又見祭司利未人抬著，就要離開所住的地方，跟隨約櫃去。」（書3:3）
這裡很重要：
不是百姓走在神前面，而是神走在百姓前面。
我們很多時候面對未知的將來，會問：「我要怎樣走？哪一條路才對？」
約書亞記第3章提醒我們：
不要只問「我要走哪裡」，更重要的是「神在哪裡帶領我」。
二、先自潔——預備自己迎接神的工作
約書亞對百姓說：
「你們要自潔，因為明天耶和華必在你們中間行奇事。」（書3:5）
神即將行神蹟，但百姓首先要做的不是自己想辦法過河，而是自潔、預備自己的心。
這也提醒我們：
神的工作不一定按照我們期待的方式發生。
有時候我們很急著問：
「神啊，你幾時幫我解決？」
但神可能先問我們：
「你的心預備好了嗎？你願不願意信靠我？」
三、祭司踏進約旦河——信心需要行動
約旦河水仍然洶湧，神並沒有先把河水完全停止，然後才叫祭司走過去。
神吩咐祭司：
「你們到了約旦河的水邊，就要在約旦河水裡站住。」（書3:8）
祭司抬著約櫃，腳一踏進約旦河，水才停住。
這是一個很深的信心功課。
有時我們希望：
「神啊，你先把所有問題解決，我才敢走。」
但神有時候的帶領是：
「你先踏出一步，我才讓你看見下一步。」
信心不是沒有恐懼，而是在還未看見結果之前，仍然相信神的應許。
四、神使約旦河水停住
當抬約櫃的祭司腳一踏入約旦河，從上游流下來的水就停住，百姓便可以在乾地上過河。
這件事讓以色列人知道：
帶領他們過約旦河的，不是人的能力，而是神。
約書亞也說：
「看哪，普天下主的約櫃必在你們前頭過去，到約旦河裡。」（書3:11）
這裡再次強調：
神的約櫃走在前面。
以色列人不是靠自己打開道路，而是神在他們前面開路。
約書亞記第3章給我們的幾個提醒
1. 神走在前面，我們才有方向
我們不知道明天會發生什麼，但神知道。
所以基督徒不是因為知道未來才有平安，而是因為知道誰掌管未來。
2. 要學習等候神的時間
約旦河不是以色列人想怎樣過就怎樣過。
神有祂的時間，也有祂的方法。
3. 信心不是只停留在思想裡
祭司如果只站在岸邊說：
「我相信神會使河水停住。」
但腳不踏進水裡，他們仍然過不了河。
真正的信心會帶來順服的行動。
4. 神所開的路，祂必負責到底
約旦河很大，但神可以開路。
我們人生也可能遇到自己的「約旦河」——家庭、工作、經濟、前途、人際關係，以及心裡很多不能控制的事情。
約書亞記第3章不是叫我們相信自己有能力過河，而是提醒我們：
神若帶領我們到河邊，祂也有能力帶我們走過去。
禱告
親愛的天父，
感謝祢藉著約書亞記第三章提醒我們，祢是走在我們前面的神。
主啊，我們承認，很多時候我們面對前面的道路會害怕、擔心和煩躁。眼前的「約旦河」好像很大，我們不知道應該怎樣走，也不知道明天會發生什麼。
求祢安靜我們紛亂的心。
讓我們不要只看環境有多困難，也不要一直看自己的能力夠不夠，而是抬頭仰望祢，相信祢仍然坐著為王。
主啊，求祢幫助我們學習約書亞和以色列人的信心。
當祢吩咐我們往前走的時候，求祢給我們勇氣踏出信心的一步；當我們還未看見道路的時候，仍然相信祢正在我們前面。
求祢也潔淨我們的心，使我們除去不信、埋怨、驕傲、恐懼和一切攔阻我們親近祢的事情。
主啊，求祢讓我們記住：
祢的約櫃走在我們前面，祢的同在不離開我們。
當我們遇到人生的約旦河，求祢不要讓我們被困難壓倒；讓我們相信，祢能夠在我們以為沒有路的地方開出道路。
求祢帶領我們的家庭、教會和每一位弟兄姊妹。
特別當我們心裡煩躁、混亂、沒有平安的時候，求聖靈安慰我們，使我們重新得著安靜和力量。
讓我們每天不是走在祢的前面，而是學習跟隨祢。
主啊，祢走在前面，我們就放心。
無論前面的道路是平坦還是有約旦河攔阻，我們都願意相信祢、跟隨祢。

Joshua chapter 3: Crossing the Jordan River
Joshua chapter 3 marks a very important turning point: the Israelites were finally about to leave the wilderness and enter the promised land of Canaan. Through the miracle of the Jordan River, God let the people know He was still with them and taught them a lesson—first believe God’s word, then take a step of faith
1. The Ark of the Covenant Leads Ahead — God Himself Leads
The Israelites arrived at the banks of the Jordan River, during the harvest season, when the river had risen over both banks.
The priest carried the ark of the covenant and walked ahead of the people. The ark represents God’s presence.
Joshua instructed the people:
“You saw the ark of the Covenant of the LORD your God, and saw the priests and Levites carrying it. You were about to leave the place where they were staying and follow the ark.” (Joshua 3:3)
Here’s what matters:
It is not the people who go before God, but God who goes before the people.
Many times, when facing an unknown future, we ask: “How should I walk? Which path is right?”
Joshua chapter 3 reminds us:
Don’t just ask, ‘Where am I going?’ More importantly, ‘Where is God leading me?’
2. First, self-purification—preparing oneself to welcome God’s work
Joshua said to the people:
“You must purify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.” (Joshua 3:5)
God is about to perform miracles, but the people must first not find a way to cross the river themselves, but purify themselves and prepare their hearts.
This also reminds us:
God’s work does not necessarily happen in the way we expect.
Sometimes we are eager to ask:
“God, when will you help me solve this?”
But God may first ask us:
“Is your heart ready? Are you willing to trust me?”
3. Priests Step into the Jordan River—Faith Requires Action
The Jordan River was still turbulent, but God did not stop it completely before sending the priests to cross.
God commanded the priests:
“When you reach the waters of the Jordan River, you must stand in its waters.” (Joshua 3:8)
As the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant stepped into the Jordan River, the waters came to a halt.
This is a deep lesson of faith.
Sometimes we wish:
“God, you solve all the problems first, and then I dare to leave. 」
But sometimes God’s guidance is:
“You take a step first, and I will let you see the next step. 」
Faith is not the absence of fear, but still believing in God’s promises before seeing the results.
4. God stopped the waters of the Jordan River
When the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant stepped into the Jordan River, the water flowing downstream stopped, and the people could cross on dry land.
This event made Israelis know:
It was not human power that led them across the Jordan River, but God.
Joshua also said:
“Behold, the ark of the Lord of the world will pass before you and into the Jordan River.” (Joshua 3:11)
Here, it is emphasized again:
The ark of God walks ahead.
The Israelites did not open the way by themselves, but God made the way before them.
Joshua chapter 3 gives us several reminders
1. When God leads the way, we have direction
We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but God knows.
So Christians have peace not because they know the future, but because they know who holds the future.
2. Learn to wait on God
The Jordan River is not something Israelis can live however they want.
God has His timing and His methods.
3. Faith does not remain only in the mind
If the priest only stood on the shore and said:
“I believe God will stop the river.”
But without stepping into the water, they still couldn’t cross the river.
True faith leads to actions of obedience.
4. The way God opens will be fully bearn
The Jordan River is vast, but God can clear the way.
In life, we may also encounter our own ‘Jordan River’—family, work, finances, future, relationships, and many things we can’t control in our hearts.
Joshua chapter 3 does not tell us to believe we have the ability to cross the river, but rather reminds us:
If God leads us to the riverbank, He also has the power to lead us across.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Joshua chapter 3 that You are the God who walks ahead of us.
Lord, we admit that many times we face the road ahead with fear, worry, and agitation. The “Jordan River” before us seems vast, and we don’t know how to walk or what tomorrow will bring.
Please quiet our troubled hearts.
Let us not only look at how difficult the environment is, nor keep judging ourselves by whether our abilities are sufficient, but lift our heads and look to You, believing that You still sit and reign.
Lord, please help us learn the faith of Joshua and the Israelites.
When You command us to move forward, please give us the courage to take a step of faith; Even when we have not yet seen the way, we still believe that You are ahead of us.
Please also purify our hearts, so that we may remove unbelief, complaints, pride, fear, and anything that hinders us from drawing near to You.
Lord, please help us remember:
Your Ark of the Covenant walks before us, and Your presence never leaves us.
When we encounter the Jordan River in life, please do not let us be overwhelmed by difficulties; Let us believe that You can carve a path where we thought there was no way.
Please lead our families, churches, and every brother and sister.
Especially when our hearts are restless, confused, and lack peace, ask the Holy Spirit to comfort us and help us regain peace and strength.
Let us not walk ahead of You every day, but learn to follow You.
Lord, when You go ahead, we are at ease.
Whether the road ahead is smooth or blocked by the Jordan River, we are willing to believe in You and follow Him.
I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

約書亞記第2章——喇合接待探子
約書亞記第2章主要講述：以色列人進入迦南之前，約書亞暗中派兩個探子去耶利哥查看情況，而神藉著一個外邦女子喇合，保護了這兩個探子。
一、約書亞差派兩個探子（1節）
約書亞從什亭暗暗打發兩個探子，吩咐他們去窺探迦南地，特別是耶利哥。
兩個探子進入耶利哥，來到一個名叫喇合的妓女家中。
這裡我們看到，神的工作有時候是從人看來非常不起眼、甚至意想不到的地方開始。
二、喇合保護兩個探子（2–7節）
耶利哥王知道有以色列的探子進城，就派人去喇合家捉拿他們。
喇合卻把兩個探子藏在屋頂的麻稈中，並且對王的人說，他們已經離開了。
結果，追捕的人往約旦河的方向追趕，沒有找到探子。
這段經文有一個值得思想的地方：聖經並不是說喇合所有的行為都是我們應該效法的，而是特別記載她對神的信心，以及她冒險保護神子民的行動。
三、喇合承認耶和華是真神（8–11節）
這是本章非常重要的一段。
喇合對探子說：
「我知道耶和華已經把這地賜給你們。」
她又說，耶利哥的人早已經聽見耶和華怎樣使紅海乾了，以及以色列人怎樣戰勝約旦河東的兩個亞摩利王。
因此，耶利哥人的心都消化了。
喇合最後宣告：
「耶和華你們的神，本是上天下地的神。」
這句話非常重要。
喇合原本是迦南地的外邦人，但她從神所做的事情認識了耶和華。
其他人聽見同樣的消息而害怕，喇合聽見之後卻選擇相信神。
四、喇合求探子救她一家（12–14節）

她希望父母、兄弟姊妹，以及所有屬於她的人，都可以保全性命。
探子答應她：
只要她不把這件事情洩露出去，等到耶和華把這地賜給以色列人的時候，他們就會救她一家。
五、紅繩成為記號（15–21節）
喇合的房子在城牆上，她就用繩子把探子從窗戶縋下去，使他們逃離耶利哥。
探子吩咐她：
當以色列人攻取耶利哥時，要把朱紅色繩子繫在窗戶上，並且把家人聚集在屋內。
這個記號讓以色列人知道：
這一家是要被保全的。
這件事也讓我們聯想到出埃及記中逾越節的記號——神施行審判時，祂也為願意相信祂的人預備拯救。
六、兩個探子回去報告（22–24節）
兩個探子回到約書亞那裡，把一切事情告訴他們。
他們說：
「耶和華果然將那全地交在我們手中；而且那地的一切居民，在我們面前心都消化了。」
與之前十二個探子窺探迦南不同，這一次的探子帶回的是信心的信息：
神已經在前面工作，耶利哥的人已經因為神的作為而害怕。
約書亞記第2章給我們的幾個提醒
1. 信心不是只聽見神的作為，而是選擇相信神
喇合聽見耶和華所做的事，就說：
「我知道耶和華……」
她不是以色列人，卻因為聽見神的作為而相信神。
所以信心有時候就是：
我還沒有看見神怎樣成就，但我相信神是信實的。
2. 神可以使用我們意想不到的人
喇合不是以色列人，也不是宗教領袖，但神卻使用她保護探子，成為神救恩計畫中的一個重要人物。
這提醒我們：
不要以人的背景來限制神的工作。
3. 喇合的信心帶來行動
她不只是口裡說相信，她實際上保護探子、冒險幫助他們，並且把自己的家人聚集起來。
真正的信心，會帶出行動。
4. 神的拯救不只臨到一個人
喇合得知神的審判將臨到耶利哥，她第一個想到的是：
「我的家人呢？」
她希望全家都得救。
這也提醒我們，我們認識主之後，也應該為自己的家人禱告，盼望他們也認識耶穌基督。
我們祈禱:
親愛的天父，
我們感謝祢，藉著約書亞記第2章提醒我們，祢是一位信實、掌管一切的神。
主啊，我們看見喇合雖然原本不是以色列人，但她聽見祢所做的事，就相信祢是上天下地的神。求祢也賜給我們這樣的信心。
有時候我們面對環境，心裡會害怕、煩躁、紛亂，看不見前面的道路，也不知道事情最後會怎樣。但求祢提醒我們：祢已經在我們看不見的地方工作。
主啊，求祢安靜我們的心。
把我們裡面的憂慮、恐懼、煩躁和混亂交在祢手中。讓我們不要只看環境有多大，而是看見祢比環境更大。
求祢教導我們像喇合一樣，相信祢、依靠祢，也在信心中採取應有的行動。
主啊，我們也為自己的家人禱告。求祢憐憫我們所愛的人，讓他們有一天也能真正認識祢，知道祢是救恩的神。
當我們不知道前面的道路時，求祢給我們信心；
當我們害怕時，求祢給我們平安；
當我們煩躁時，求祢安靜我們；
當我們心裡紛亂時，求祢用祢的話語重新堅固我們。
主啊，讓我們記得：
祢在我們看不見的地方，仍然掌權；
祢在我們不知道的道路上，仍然帶領；
祢所應許的，祢必定成就。
求祢使我們每天都學習信靠祢，不靠自己的聰明，而是把前面的道路交給祢。

Joshua Chapter 2 — Rahab Receives the Spies
Joshua chapter 2 mainly tells that before the Israelites entered Canaan, Joshua secretly sent two spies to Jericho to investigate, and God protected them through a foreign woman named Rahab
1. Joshua Sent Two Spies (Verse 1)
Joshua secretly sent two spies from Shetin to spy on Canaan, especially Jericho.
Two spies entered Jericho and arrived at the house of a prostitute named Rahab.
Here we see that God’s work sometimes begins in places that seem very inconspicuous or even unexpected to people.
2. Rahab Protects Two Spies (Verses 2–7)
When the king of Jericho learned that spies from Israel had entered the city, he sent men to arrest them at the house of Rahab.
But Rahab hid two spies in the hemp stalks on the roof and told the king’s men that they had left.
As a result, the pursuers chased toward the Jordan River but found no spies.
This passage has something worth pondering: it does not say that all of Rahab’s actions should be imitated, but rather specifically records her faith in God and her risky actions to protect God’s people
3. Rahab Acknowledges the Lord as the True God (Verses 8–11)
This is a very important passage in this chapter.
Rahab said to the spy:
“I know the Lord has already given you this land.”
She also said that the people of Jericho had long heard how the Lord dried up the Red Sea, and how Israel defeated the two Amorite kings east of the Jordan.
Therefore, the hearts of the Jericho people were digested.
Lahab finally declares:
“The Lord your God is the God of heaven, heaven, and earth.”
This statement is very important.
Rahab was originally a Gentile in the land of Canaan, but she came to know the Lord through what God had done.
Others heard the same news and were afraid, but Rahab, upon hearing it, chose to believe in God.
4. Rahab Pleads to His Spies to Save Her Family (Verses 12–14)
Rahab knew Jericho was about to face God’s judgment, so she asked her spies:
“Swear to me by the Lord: Since I have shown you kindness, you will also be kind to my father’s house.”
She hopes her parents, siblings, and everyone who belongs to her can survive.
The scout promised her:
As long as she did not reveal this matter, when the Lord gave this land to the Israelites, they would save her family.
5. The Red Cord as a Sign (Verses 15–21)
Rahab’s house was on the city wall, so she used ropes to lower the spies down the window and helped them escape from Jericho.
The scout instructed her:
When the Israelites capture Jericho, tie the scarlet cord to the window and gather your family inside the house.
This sign made the Israelites know:
This family must be preserved.
This also reminds us of the Passover sign in Exodus—when God judges, He also prepares salvation for those willing to believe in Him.
6. The Two Spies Return to Report (Verses 22–24)
Two spies returned to Joshua and told them everything.
They said:
“The Lord has indeed delivered the whole earth into our hands; And all the inhabitants of the land have been digested in their hearts before us.”
Unlike the previous twelve spies who spied on Canaan, this time they brought back a message of faith:
God was already working ahead, and the people of Jericho were already afraid because of God’s work.
Joshua chapter 2 gives us several reminders
1. Faith is not just about hearing about God’s works, but choosing to believe in Him
When Rahab heard what the LORD was doing, she said:
“I know the Lord……”
She was not an Israelite, but she believed in God because she heard of His works.
So sometimes confidence is just about:
I have not yet seen how God accomplishes it, but I believe God is faithful.
2. God can use people we never expect
Rahab was neither an Israelite nor a religious leader, but God used her to protect the spies and became an important figure in God’s plan of salvation.
This reminds us:
Do not limit God’s work based on your personal background.
3. Rahab’s faith brings action
She didn’t just say she believed; in reality, she protected the spies, risked her life to help them, and gathered her own family.
True faith leads to action.
4. God’s salvation does not come to just one person
When Rahab learned that God’s judgment was about to come upon Jericho, the first thing she thought was:
“Where are my family?”
She hopes the whole family will be saved.
This also reminds us that after we know the Lord, we should pray for our own families, hoping they will also come to know Jesus Christ.
We pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for reminding us through Joshua chapter 2 that You are a faithful God who rules over everything.
Lord, we see that although Rahab was not originally an Israelite, she heard what You were doing and believed that You are the God of heaven, earth, and earth. Please also grant us such faith.
Sometimes when we face our environment, we feel fearful, irritable, and confused, unable to see the road ahead or know what will happen in the end. But please remind us: You are already working in places we cannot see.
Lord, please quiet our hearts.
Put the worries, fears, irritation, and chaos within us into Your hands. Let us not only look at how big the environment is, but see that You are greater than the environment.
Teach us to be like Rahab—to believe in You, rely on You, and to take appropriate actions in faith.
Lord, we also pray for our own families. Please have mercy on those we love, so that one day they too may truly know You and know that You are the God of salvation.
When we do not know the way ahead, please give us faith;
When we are afraid, please grant us peace;
When we are restless, please quiet us;
When our hearts are in turmoil, please strengthen us again with Your Word.
Lord, let us remember:
You still reign where we cannot see;
You still lead on paths we do not know;
What You promised, You will surely fulfill.
Help us learn to trust You every day, not by our own wisdom, but by entrusting the way ahead to You.
I pray in the victorious name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

約書亞記第一章——剛強壯膽，靠神進入應許
約書亞記第一章記載摩西死後，神親自吩咐約書亞接續摩西，帶領以色列人進入神應許的迦南地。
摩西一生帶領以色列人走過曠野，但到了這個時候，他已經離世。對約書亞來說，這是一個非常大的轉變。他要接過摩西的工作，面對前面的約旦河、迦南人，以及即將開始的爭戰。
神對約書亞說：
「你當剛強壯膽！不要懼怕，也不要驚惶，因為你無論往哪裡去，耶和華你的神必與你同在。」（書1:9）
這句話是本章非常重要的信息。
神並沒有應許約書亞前面的道路沒有困難，而是應許他：神會與他同在。
神又吩咐約書亞要晝夜思想祂的律法，謹守遵行。換句話說，約書亞帶領百姓成功的關鍵，不只是他的能力、經驗或領導才幹，而是聽從神的話，按神的心意而行。
約書亞於是吩咐百姓預備食物，三日之內要過約旦河。流便支派、迦得支派和瑪拿西半支派，也答應按照他們向摩西所承諾的，與其他支派一同爭戰，直到弟兄得地為業。
第一章給我們的提醒
1. 人會改變，但神的工作不會停止。
摩西離世了，但神仍然繼續帶領祂的百姓。今日教會或我們個人的生命，也可能面對不同階段和變化，但神仍然掌權。
2. 面對未知的將來，不要只看自己的能力。
約書亞面前有很大的挑戰，但神沒有叫他靠自己，而是應許：「我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在。」
3. 剛強壯膽不是沒有害怕，而是在害怕中仍然相信神。
真正的勇氣不是「我甚麼都不怕」，而是「雖然我不知道前面會怎樣，但我知道神與我同在。」
4. 神的話是我們行路的方向。
約書亞記1章反覆提醒要謹守遵行神的律法。當我們心裏混亂、煩躁、不知道怎樣選擇時，更需要回到神的話語裡。

親愛的天父，
感謝祢藉着約書亞記第一章提醒我們，無論人生進入什麼新的階段，祢都沒有離開我們。
主啊，有時候我們面對前面的道路，心裏會有很多擔心、害怕和不安。我們不知道明天會發生什麼，也不知道自己有沒有足夠的能力去面對。
求祢讓我們記得祢對約書亞所說的話：
「你當剛強壯膽，不要懼怕，也不要驚惶，因為耶和華你的神必與你同在。」
主啊，求祢安靜我們煩躁紛亂的心，除去我們裏面的憂慮和恐懼。當我們不知道怎樣行的時候，求祢引導我們；當我們軟弱的時候，求祢加添力量；當我們害怕的時候，讓我們知道祢就在我們身旁。
求祢幫助我們不要單靠自己的聰明和能力，而是每天回到祢的話語裡，思想祢的教導，並且願意遵行。
主啊，求祢也幫助我們在家庭、教會、工作和生活中彼此扶持，好像以色列各支派彼此同行一樣，不只是顧念自己，也願意幫助弟兄姊妹。
求祢賜我們一顆信靠祢的心。
即使前面的「約旦河」還未分開，即使困難仍然存在，讓我們仍然相信：祢走在我們前面，祢與我們同在。
願我們今天也能靠着祢剛強壯膽，一步一步跟隨祢。

Joshua Chapter 1 — Strength and courage, entering the promise through God
Joshua chapter 1 records that after Moses’ death, God personally instructed Joshua to succeed Moses and lead the Israelites into the promised land of Canaan.
Moses led the Israelites through the wilderness all his life, but by this time, he had already passed away. For Joshua, this was a very significant transformation. He was to take over Moses’ work, facing the Jordan River, the Canaanites, and the upcoming battle.
God said to Joshua:
“Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for wherever you go, the Lord your God will be with you.” (Joshua 1:9)
This sentence is a very important message for this chapter.
God did not promise Joshua that the road ahead would be without difficulty, but promised that God would be with him
God also commanded Joshua to meditate on His law day and night and to observe and obey it carefully. In other words, the key to Joshua’s success in leading his people was not just his ability, experience, or leadership skills, but obeying God’s word and acting according to His will.
Joshua then instructed the people to prepare food and cross the Jordan River within three days. The tribes of Reubin, Gad, and half of Manasseh also agreed to fight with the other tribes as promised to Moses until their brothers had taken possession of the land.
The first chapter gives us a reminder
1. People change, but God’s work does not stop.
Moses passed away, but God continues to lead His people. Today, the church or our personal lives may face different stages and changes, but God still reigns
2. When facing an unknown future, do not rely solely on your own abilities.
Joshua faced great challenges, but God did not tell him to rely on himself; instead, He promised: “As I am with Moses, I will be with you in the same way.”
3. Strength and courage are not the absence of fear, but that we still believe in God even in the midst of fear.
True courage is not “I am afraid of nothing,” but “Although I don’t know what lies ahead, I know God is with me.”
4. God’s word is the direction of our path.
Joshua chapter 1 repeatedly reminds us to carefully observe and obey God’s law. When our hearts are confused, restless, and unsure of what to choose, we need to return to God’s word
Prayer
Joshua Chapter 1 Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding us through Joshua chapter 1 that no matter what new stage life enters, You have never left us.
Lord, sometimes when we face the road ahead, we have many worries, fears, and uneases in our hearts. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, nor do we know if we have enough strength to face it.
Please remind us of what You said to Joshua:
“Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God will be with you.”
Lord, please quiet our restless and chaotic hearts, and remove the worries and fears within us. When we do not know what to do, please guide us; When we are weak, please give us strength; When we are afraid, let us know that You are right beside us.
Please help us not to rely solely on our own intelligence and ability, but to return daily to Your word, reflect on Your teachings, and be willing to follow them.
Lord, please also help us support one another in our families, churches, work, and life, just as the tribes of Israel walk together—not only caring for ourselves, but also willing to help our brothers and sisters.
